Make M1L and M1R Easier

These two stitches are just a pain to execute! I am working on a pair of Business Casual socks with Vortex yarn, and wanted to share with you the tips and tricks I use to make these two stitches MUCH easier!

This was a godsend. I'm knitting up the musselburgh hat using fingering weight yarn and the increases were driving me nutty.

Great tip for the M1R, I lift the yarn with a tapestry needle and also lift the loop with that needle (and the same for M1L)

It's SO fiddly! The same tips apply only in reverse. Just push that yarn around in the direction you need it to go so you can squeeze your needle in! 🤣
