I've always wondered, too, the source of her first name, which sounds like her mother simply added a different spin on the spelling of Delores! Now, I could be wrong. By the way, she again connected with me in her role on "Touched By An Angel." If I could afford to purchase the series, I would. It was such a touching experience to watch.

I, Sheri had the great pleasure to see you perform in Hollywood. You sang a song something about Your Love as Red as the red Roses and on the bottom of your gown, there were Roses that turned red as you sang that song. Wow, I have never forgotten that number. You were so fabulous!!! That was in 59 or 60. That was at The Coconut Grove. My Twin Sister Syd and I had come to Hollywood from Oklahoma City to further our singing career. We signed with Lute Records and had one hit record, but many Record Companies signed talented Kids and they were using the Record Company as a tax right off. Johnny had the same deal with his record company, Crystalette Records. Johnny also performed his hit record Rockin' Billy, on Dick Clark's American Bandstand and went on tour with Frankie Avalon, but they didn't put his record in the stores, like Lute Records did to us.
