I have a huge soft spot in my heart for special animals. Show me a dog with three legs and one eye, and I'll fall in love. I figure anyone can adopt or buy a perfect animal, but it takes a special person to love a special creature. I'm currently bottle feeding a blind kitten who was abandoned by it's mom.
She's definitely a teacher moment about how important good husbandry is to the health & wellbeing of tortoises & turtles; as well as second chances for animals in the same or similar condition they need new / better homes so they can actually thrive. Special animals are precious
Wow. I always wondered what metabolic bone disease would look like in a tortoise. That's horrifying! I'm glad Lego went to you too although the people who sent her to you were either liars or worse - that they didn't know how awfully they were treating their pet. Then any animal they had or might have would be in danger. She's a darling and even though she can't get completely better at the Kamp under your good care, she can be comfortable, well fed, have companions, and always be loved and taken care of. Thank you Kenan.
The fact that Lego shows no birth defects, but the results of unsufficient care has made her into an educational asset and very important to the whole Team Tortoise.
Anyone else think that other tortoise flipped herself over so daddy would come give her a little attention, too? 🤔 😂 I’m kidding of course - That was adorable! “Excuse me, Miss…” 😆🥰

Yeah its messed up specially toms one who started alot of reptiles into the us. And also hes getting older has had health problems... Its just wrong. Hope Kenan keeps his eyes peeled cause thats scary

@@jebVlogs556 well since her deformity had nothing to do with her genetics and is a product of her upbringing, if lego could breed the genetic material would be fine, I would be concerned about space for eggs inside her shell as it’s irregularly shaped and may not develop eggs properly

Tom said Vanessa (?) has started a GoFundMe page with $2,500 reward money. Brian said he'd add another $1000. So...$3,500 so far, for reward regarding this tragedy. Stay vigilant, Kenan!!!
When it comes to your home or farm get ring it alerts you if someone is on your property plus you can check in on your home at anytime. It saved a co work life when she was on her way home and someone was on her porch swing. She stop and call the police for she was a small thing not even 100 pound. The man was over six feet tail and 350 plus pounds of muscle and got rude with the cops WHO end up siding him for his attitude.

I love Lego and I thank you for taking such great care of not only her but all the animals you have! They are Gods creatures, not ours, they are entrusted to our care.
Lego is a cool little tortoise and maybe now she is growing right. She will never be perfect but I do think you are giving her a longer life than what she would have had. Four of my redfoots are outside, and I have six small ones in the house by a window where they get hours of sunlight and I feed weeds from outside, keep them on soil in plastic drawers and sometimes they get a few caterpillars to keep things interesting.
Just be aware that UVB n UVA gets cut way down going through glass. So even if there r in the sun coming through the window, they might not be getting enough. Hope you have a great weekend.

You not only have one of the most beautiful reptile Paradise I've ever've ever seen in my life... but now you have🍌🍌 bananas? What could be more perfect than natural amazing food for reptiles.... Some reptiles. ...I live in the complete and total opposite of Florida. I live in Washington state. I love our weather and our climate up here but anytime I want to feel like I'm in the tropics surrounded by amazing people and their animals, I come onto UA-cam and visit Kamp Kenan and all the other amazing reptile people on UA-cam.👍❤🦎🐢🐍🐊
Both of my hermann's tortoises came to me with severe pyramyding, which I've recently learned was because they got brought up with cat food... Which is obviously not an appropriate diet for them. They've been with me for about 7 years now, and at first one of them kept dragging his rear legs, but with better food, and more opportunities to climb (with small rock gardens) both of them started to use their hind legs, and new shell-growth is straightening out as well, so I'm glad to hear I'm doing something right... ;) (Both of them are outside nowadays, except for brumating right now, one has a cold, so I don't want him brumating just yet...)
If Lego ever happens to die, which I hope is not for many years to come, it might be nice to have her skeleton be set up for educational purposes so people can really see how the skeleton gets affected and why a proper diet is so important.
