My family just applied in Italy through a laywer and we were in formed that it will tile 1 year and 1/2 for a judge to view our documents. I have to inform that all documents had to be officially translated and all the docs from our parents and grandparents had to be officially linked. It was 6 months of a lot of work before we could give everything to the Italian laywer to finalize the process for the application.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Yes, all documents need to be translated and authenticated, before filing the application, so the processing time for the translations must be taken in consideration.
The San Francisco consulate never has bookings available. Is there anything else I can do to obtain an appointment? Otherwise, the timeframe for citizenship is truly unknown.

So just for clarification you are saying it takes approximately 2-3 years after the court case has been submitted to the court if applying in Italy through the courts?
Good morning, the processing time entirely depends on the judge’s agenda and the Court’s backlog. In some Courts (like Venice) the average processing time is around that timeframe . Sincerely The Team-
Good morning , yes that’s possibile. In some Courts the GOP Judges are still handling the processes, but the decision will be forwarded to the “Togati” Judges. Sincerely, The Team-
