  • In this video I unbox the Garmin Extra Large Carry Bag and Base. After the unboxing I decided to do the assemble it incase someone got stuck or was worried about how hard it is. After that I show my initial cable management although that will probably change.

Like you I bought everything separately. Is there a specific network cable that hooks to the head unit for ice fishing? Otherwise the livescope came with a network cable and and head unit came with one which I connected them together and connected the box and the unit. Will that work for ice fishing?

sorry for the late response, major life changes! No there's no special cables for ice fishing use them as they came. What comes with what you got will work. Side note update the transducer pole you buy at any big box store is not that great or worth the money. I bought one from Summit, worth every penny! Good luck out there!

    Nice video, thank you!
How long does the 10Ah battery last? Do you think a bigger, like 30Ah Lithium will fit inside the bag or is it better for weight/portability to go with smaller batteries and just have a spare one if needed?

      Thank you!
so I ran 2 10AH batteries in there one for sonar and one for the head unit and i could fish all day maybe even 2 days but they didn't fit in there very well. 1 10 AH alone at best would get you a day but i don't know about that. I have however upgraded and now have a Norsk 32AH battery, it fits in there and i can fish for the weekend. I think it is well worth the money and fits perfect. Plus the Norsk has battery meter to see how low you are and 2 USB charging ports on top. highly recommend! As for weight, the unit is already heavy compared to other options so at that point i would just go with the bigger battery. Hope this helps, any more questions let me know! Good luck out there!

@@jasonwhiteoutdoors3888 Thanks again🙂 Looks like Amazon have Norsk batteries, just hope they can ship to Sweden without costing a fortune or I'll have to find a similar compact battery somewhere else

I apologize, I didn't see your comment! I'm not sure, I would measure but I got rid of it already. I was not impressed with shuttle and bag after using for a year.

Will that base holds 30 ahp amp outdoors battery? The demmsions?

Not positive on Amp outdoors, but I now have a Norsk 32AH in there and it fits perfect. The dimensions you have to work with are 4 1/16" deep, 6 1/8" wide, and 6 1/2" tall.
Hope this helps, thank you for the great question! Hope to make update video and others once I have internet faster than dial up again (hopefully this coming summer)

I don't know for certain. My initial guess for you would be no, but if you give me the exact dimensions of the head unit I can measure and give you a better guess.

I just installed mine fine. The mount from the 106sv fit on the just fine

Just installed the 106SV. be sure to put the mount on the rear most holes or the zipper won't close. Also be careful pivoting the unit as there's not a lot of clearance the the cables with it pushed back. I can see the connections breaking if it's forced too many times. Overall I'm happy with it
