As a native Islander and a huge FAN of this beach , truly PEI's best , actually Bothwell a 5 min drive further east is likely best but not facilities , I want to point out one thing , the water is actually very warm here and likely only beaten out by a "south shore PEI beach) the clarity is best I have seen. It is however NOT the Atlantic ocean , in fact it is impossible to swim in the Atlantic ocean anywhere on PEI. You are either in the Nothumberland Strait or the Gulf of St. Lawrence , with Basin head's location you are closest to the Gulf. Great family video !
In all my summers spent in PEI visiting family (most summers in the last 18yrs ) i never heard of this beach, looks really nice i will have to check it out next time we go , thanks for sharing this! 😊
Reminded me of my childhood summers at Hampton Beach, N.H. My mom told me the water was so cold I'd come out with bluish skin and chattering teeth😅 When we started going to Cape Cod, I thought the water was like a hot tub by comparison. You guys were having a true family summer vacation. What a great tradition!❤
"CAVENDISH Beach, which is known as the most popular beach in Prince Edward Island"... popular only with people who aren't from Prince Edward Island. If you like warm water (I mean 25+ degrees), go to a south shore beach.
I keep forgetting there is a whole country north of Niagara Falls. I grew up in Cleveland and you just grow up thinking the only way to go is to the warmth.

Good point, in Nova Scotia we have the open Atlantic Ocean on beaches and it’s freezing.

It’s on the eastern side not far from the ferry

This video was for my nephews who look forward to watching themselves on UA-cam 😊
We have a place in Chelton. With children you need to visit at-low tide. You won’t go elsewhere for a few years.
It just makes sense and it’s so lovely at low tide
0:58 OMG is it Canada? 😲
If going to bathroom is so complicated and far I wouldn't swim there lol
Hahaha it’s just up stairs or so what most people do at the beach 🤣

You are right about that, what do you think about where we went instead?

Haha well the best side of Niagara Falls is in Canada 😆
Hi Ayngelina. Thanks for the beautiful video. I loved that 3rd song. Can i please have the name of the song and artist. Thanks
It’s a stock song from epidemic sound. I use a royalty free music site.
@@ayngelina Ok thanks a lot, i appreciate
Why on the no inflatables I wonder
I think because they aren't reliable. There's no standard and so can't be relied on.
on out going tide , it is REALLY strong and you will keep going !
