Thank you for this information. My dentist mentioned that I have ginger vitis and inflammation because they said I'm not brushing my gums. Interesting thing, I never knew you had to clean gums. So thank you for this. I will get some floss and mouth wash and hopefully I'm cured.

I treated this at home in 3-4 days by just buing a mouth wash and upping the frequency and quality of my tooth brushing.
Was scared for a moment that I needed to see my dentist, but the issue is now compltely gone. It was red, insanely sensitive and sore, and easily bled when I discovered it around 3 of my upper molars. It then gradually healed, especially during the night.

I tried to brush my teeth and it made my gums bleed and itchy, it actually moved my gums around my teeth because the bristles were too hard.

For your upper teeth should you brush above the gumline ? for lower teeth should you brush below the gumline ?

Gingivitis Origin: comes from a "latin word" "Gin" wich means alchohol..
& derived from a "Greek word" "Ginger" wich are being used for cooking.! and for a cup of tea (Ginger tea) for voice improvement 😂

My gums never really hurt or bleed but they have looked swollen and a bit red for the past 3 months and I’m concerned if I have gingivitis or not. Do you know if my gums are healthy or not?:(

Unfortunately, I can't make a diagnosis without seeing your gums/ teeth and knowing your dental / medical history. However, if you suspect that you have gingivitis try working on flossing everyday and using gum therapy mouthwash (I like Therabreath healthy gums and Listerine gum therapy). And visit your hygienist for a good cleaning :)

I am 15 and I feel like I hve gingivitis but my gums don’t bleed or hurt really! I am going to the dentist soon but I am so scared I hope I can reverse it back to healthy gums

Aww, it's amazing that you're conscious of your gums and trying to keep them healthy! Don't be nervous, if you have gingivitis a good cleaning will bring them right back to health 😊 It's reversible and goes away very easily ! Definitely ask your dentist / dental hygienist what will work best for you to prevent. Let me know how your appointment goes!

Just came from my dentist and they said I need a deep cleaning due to gingivitis and it will cost me $250.00 vs my free standard cleaning from my dental insurance.
