Merci beaucoup pour tes vidéos!!
Thank you for the videos. I'm not a dentist but interested in the field. Hoping I don't embarrass myself by using technical terms on my dental visits.
It appears the x-ray machine works similarly to a CRT in an older television (that also produce x-rays, but they are shielded from escaping the tube). In a CRT, a metal cathode is heated to a high temperature so that it emits electrons. Those electrons are accelerated by a high voltage (25,000+ volts) and focused and scanned towards a phosphor screen which produces an image. In the case of an x-ray machine, those electrons from the heated cathode are directed towards the tungsten and allowed to pass out of the unit and towards the patient's mouth. Either way, you get a picture in the end, although I'm not sure a radiograph will win an Emmy. :)
Perfect video which covers 60 % of dental radiograph as whole.. . And 90% of basics
Sir you are just awesome
Thank you so much!
thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo........................... much
Plz also cover midface fracture main points and its radiology I have exam soon? In start of March
Is it normal to see the bone between the lower anteriors be a darker shade of grey than the bone between molars? Does this indicate bone loss even if bone level is healthy ( reaches enamel)?
very helpful and informative thank you
What if dental xray used for orthopedic, can it show clear for the bones? For example palm or finger
Can u plz make vedios on paediatric dentistry
Hi there. Tell me please. Are you using x ray CT (computer tomography) ?
I have a question please. At 9:25 it says we can confirm clinically if it cavity or not? Would you elaborate further? How can I ensure? Will the caries be visible clinically? If so, it wouldn’t make any sense to take X-ray in the first place.
I have a question ..how to differentiate between periapical xray of one quadrant from another ...and also maxillary from mandibular specially in when itcomes to posterior teeth ?
Usman Ghani ...this is trouble for me too
En el último periapical es colocar el cono mesio radial o disto radial ya que orto radial se van a sobreponer las raíces
Hello Ryan! Love this presentation! Just wanted to ask you if it would be possible for you to post it in PDF format on patreon pleeeease?

Hello! Can you also make a comprehensive lecture video on this subject? Not just the basics I mean.. it would really help. Thanks! Great channel by the way 😁
Hello Dr Ryan. I have a question about the SLOB concept. What is the first ,second and last canal of tooth # 30 or mandibular molar in right angulation using periapical radiograph? Thank you.
I got it . Thank you
From Bangladesh, thanks a lot
You are most welcome!

weird question: why do the teeth have space btwn teeth normal, like enough for floss to be able to go in. Can food not be able to go in too?
Because teeth are more rounded. It’s kinda like if you try to push two light poles together while in sand
If i send you an dental xray over email. Can you tell ita manupulatwd or not?
Does this help with the xrays testing
Yes it does!
I got a Reeses ad lol 😆
❤❤❤❤

Any tips on how to pass the test for radiology ?
I recommend watching my full Oral Radiology playlist! www.mentaldental.com/videos
How do we know which quadrant it is and which side?
Good question! I can definitely go into more advanced techniques and interpretation principles in a future video.
@@mentaldental yes it will be very hepfull!
Hi, I just started studying as a dental assistant and I'm having trouble understanding something related to the X-rays. There is a question in my book that says: "Does density and thickness of the object have any impact on the exposure time?"
If anyone could help answer this, it would be of great help!
Of course it does!
👍👍👍

If a full dental digital x-ray exam give a radiation dose of 0.06msv to the head then:
10 000 full exam in a very short time will cause death.
1 000 full exam in a very short time will cause severe injuries.
100 full exam in a very short time will cause mild injuries.
10 full exam in a very short time will cause light injuries.
1 full exam will cause side effect.
0.1 full dental exam (1 bitewing digital x-ray picture) will cause no noticeable side effect.
You might ask why i calculated the risk this way its because we know the values when radiation start creating problem at these different level of severity. i just calculated how many x-ray it needed to reach these different level of suffering and death. i think those are pretty good ball park numbers.
What are you referring to when you say “side effect?”
How can i become a Dental X-ray Tech
How can you tell which darker area is a decay or not ? I have several areas in my x-ray BUT only one is identified as decay due to cavity. What can be the other causes of a darker area of the x-ray ?
alright i saw this and Im a child of a full dental family, and just by sitting there and eating chocolate I learned this, so this is like a review for me. Thanks though :)
Why are dentist why can’t be a x-ray or the doctor appointment?
