Thank you for the video! As a worship leader I say that you have a great voice and are doing a good job. Thank you for showing your tips and techniques with us!

I just came across your channel by chance. So glad I found it. I've just started leading our youth band and this is exactly what I need. Thank you so much!
Blessed voice. 😇😇 Thanks for you Sister. I've learned a lot. Most especially, ob how to take care of my voice. Hope to meet you soon sister. Our church is with you, we're also praying for your nation. -Philippines is with you sis. God bless!
Thank you. I am enjoying watching your videos. When singing I don't often have a problem belting or singing loudly or with a lot of power. However, I often find it difficult singing more slowly and softly for example the beginning of this song..."you give life, you are love..." Another example would be the beginning to the song "Spirit of the Living God" (btw I would love if you could do a tutorial on that song :) I'm not sure if I am using too much breath or if I'm singing in the wrong key (too low for me) or perhaps not pushing down enough or maybe not enough resonance.? Thanks. God bless your ministry! :)
Thanks for you comment! I'll talk in some future videos about singing softly! I would encourage you to check out the monthly subscription ($10 per month CDN), for specific exercises that will help with all sorts of vocal issues!
I have a quick question for singing in general. I have always been afraid to sing high notes when it gets big. I think it's the fear of cracking but it a stumbling block that I want to overcome so then I'm not afraid to sing for the Lord anymore.
Hey Kassandra! I can totally relate because that used to be me! But with the right strategy and vocal technique, high notes are totally do-able!! The issue for most people is that we push up too much muscle with our chest voice, and then the voice cracks and breaks... which makes us afraid the next time a high note comes around! The common denominator in every person that I’ve seen experience major improvement and breakthrough in their voice is to do vocal workouts… with exercises that are specifically designed to decrease vocal tension and build strength, improve your tone quality, expand your range, etc.! I have a course on www.theworshipvocalist.com called "Discover Your Voice" and it takes worship vocalists through vocal workouts for your chest voice, head voice, and pharyngeal voice, and teaches you to MIX all your resonators together to get the SOUND of a full chest voice tone on the high notes but without the STRAIN of your chest voice! The course is available on a monthly subscription plan at www.theworshipvocalist.com -- check it out and if you haven't seen improvement in the first month of doing the vocal workouts, just cancel the subscription! But I think you will!! :)
All depends on where you're comfortable in your range! Usually anywhere between F-A are good keys for male voices - F if you are comfortable in the low/mid range, A if you're comfortable in the mid/high range.
Definitely! My priority are newer worship songs (top CCLI) that are sung at many churches around the world. What song(s) would you like to see a tutorial for?
The Worship Vocalist well I'm not sure if it's super popular but Fill me up-Jesus Culture and Show me your Glory -Jesus Culture. I used your tutorial for Holy Spirit and it really did help me sing that song in the proper tone. Thank you!
So glad to hear the tutorial for Holy Spirit helped you! :) Those are both amazing songs! They're not high on my list mainly because they're not as new... I do offer private Skype lessons through www.theworshipvocalist.com, so usually if a vocalist wants help with a specific song, they book a lesson with me -- like your own private song tutorial. :)

Perhaps in the future - great song! :)
What kind of camera are you using?
This video was shot on a Canon T3i. Many of the newer tutorials were a Canon 70D. And our latest ones are a Sony ZV-1.
What would be a good key for a guy to sing this in ? Thanks Coach =)
