I know that you don't have the bike anymore but there is also the option of the handlebar end mirrors, not sure if its your thing either but something to keep in mind.
best bet is look up the bikes user manual and use what that says type wise, then if you want LED ones just order the same, ebay is good for those, i have done it for cars and bikes.
I'm new to these bikes, do you know if it would be possible to replace a factory ZR7 cluster with the ZR7S cluster? Not the headlight fairing as well, just the instrument cluster. Thanks!
You will need the support bracket that holds the cluster on, with the whole fairing bracket. I would suggest you to use the existing zr7 cluster bracket and modify it to fit the 3 attachment points from the cluster to the bracket. The zr7 bracket attaches to the upper tree clamp while the zr7s bracket attaches to the fairing chassis.
@@TastyGnocchi Thank you for the advice! The look of the S cluster is so much better then the retro round pods. The only thing I'm unsure of is what the back of the cluster looks like since its normally mounted into a fairing and not exposed. Maybe I'll have to make a cover for the backside before mounting.
@@BeaverSmashing I would send you a pic, I converted my zr7s to a zr7 and went back because wind protection is more important to me thab I thought. I would use a pitch black windshield like the Puig Naked to hide the mess of wires. I hid the wires in the headlamp. It should be weatherproof though
@@TastyGnocchi If you're on Instagram you're welcome to direct message me, my name is @BeaverSmashing. Yeah, I do plan for a small windscreen/fairing and eventually a custom projector headlight too. I've grown accustomed to Morimoto projectors with hids in my truck and cant go back to halogen reflectors.
5:03 what a nice gate frame kit you have

The fairing looks like it was designed to have fairing mirrors ... did you look into buying a set of those? Probably expensive!
