I really liked your suggestion of bending the syringe needle to easily administer PSA and shared it with my peers.

Great vid. Do you do any sedation with your extractions? If not, how does a patient such as this do with just local anesthetic and no anxiolytics? Thanks.

Thanks! I use moderate conscious sedation for most third molar cases. Triazolam initially, then we use nitrous as needed to get people comfortable. They do very well with these procedures. Without sedation I have found the right patient can tolerate it, but frankly it’s way easier on them and you to have some sedation on board. All the best!

    Hi Doctor, young dentist here
Just wondering for 18 year old patient with incomplete root formation of wisdom teeth that don't look 'too bad' to me, would it not be better to let them exfoliate a bit more to get easier and potentially less invasive access? I'm interested to know your rationale please

If patient is asymptomatic then there is no need to extract right now .we can always wait and watch.

This makes access much more challenging and it's a riskier extraction to undertake. Many times, you can wait until they've dropped down further. If you have something more specific, let me know and I'll try to help you out. All the best!
