    I saw grit and fortitude that had not seen since my tree-planting days in the British Columbia wilderness. Well done. I watched while on sojourn in the South Pacific caught an island of my own doing. Thank you for the magnificent respite. Now, back to my writing.

    James’s wife is one hell of a keeper! Imagine how she predicted that there was going to be a time when he was going to want to quit and decided to write a letter of motivation to keep him going in that moment. Hold on to that one mate.

    I would be scared but would love that opportunity. However I don’t think I’d have the strength, both mentally and physically! I’m so happy for them, what an accomplishment

    I have wanted to watch this for
    a very long time and i was happy
    to see the whole series here on
    UA-cam.
    I did feel guilty though for sitting
    here in a comfy sofa with my cup
    of tea and choccy biscuits while
    they were suffering ☹️

    Is it me or does James look particularly crouched over as his body looks like it's changed. Ben looks enlightened, whereas James' looks humbled and Zen'd out. I hope he hasn't any damage. He was the soul of the trip, Ben was a force to be reckoned with, but James pushed them to their limits and won!

      Every piece of kit should have a specific place, strapped down and yes, electrics in waterproof boxes. The design (or lack thereof) of the boat is dreadful.

    what I don`t understand is that they knew that capsizing during that race is quite common and happened a lot of times before to other boats. For that reason all the electrics should be sealed in watertight. Like all the connections with hot glue ot those cable connectors that shrink tight when you heat them up.

      @@shadic187 Yes, the Pacific Ocean is just huge, wherever the start and end point of a voyage may be. Island hopping, with long periods of rest and recuperation in preparation for the next leg, would be the only way to row across it.

      A sailboat followed the race. Shows it in the other videos. It didn't help them in any way as it's not aloud to help unless the crew can't continue. It's their just for safety and to make sure all boats are following the rules and not cheating.

      Watched for that question,race it may be but there is called a rescue break boat following for lack of the proper term.
      My daughter paddled open ocean and they do have a medic boat for participating boaters to eat sleep etc.1 hour breaks are used.
      So they are not totally alone fyi.they have stand by team mates while one Takes a break.they do sleep,one can't stroke it for 2 months lol know what you are thinking.
      There are shifts they didn't tell you about.

    It's a reenactment and alot of editing. Its called tell lie vision. For the one's that keep asking how did they film it. But all u have to do is Google the real story.
