Sims 2 - The delivery person in The Sims 2 comes driving a truck. He will open the door and get the groceries out of the back of the truck.
Sims 4 - The delivery person in The Sims 4 comes on foot and comes inside your house to make the delivery.
And then the Sims 4 deliveryman proceeds to shower in your house, use your TV and computer and eat the groceries he himself delivered.

Keep in mind guys. When they created ts2, 3/4 of the way in they lost all their progress and data and had to start from scratch and worked hard to meet the deadline but still turned out a masterpiece.
Meanwhile, The Sims 4 has had 9 years to improve and it's still a terrible game.
They threw us a bone when they added toddlers and pools.
And even I got excited when they added infants. But I was quickly disappointed when my Sims couldn't take care of them because they kept glitching out.
But it's still a disappointing and broken game even after 9 years.
They didn't even add skin tones until 2020.

@@kekenaniwilson6138 i've had sims propose to another sim while facing their back LMAO. it's nice in some instances, like, for example, a sim is cooking and another sim is doing homework at the table, but it's immersion breaking when a sim is trying to do a romantic interaction from behind the other sim's back.
Yeah kinda like todays world....maybe they're just...keeping it real. 😢

The fact that developers were so hardworking to make cars in sims 2 (and even with the bouncing effect!) which mind you was released in 2004 is incredible.

will wright created the sims and he cared about it a lot. when he left they made sims 3 which was luckily still good. now the sims 4 is shit bc they stopped trying to actually adhere to what he first created. i think he started developing his own game to compete with sims now which must be heartbreaking for him in a way
Honestly I think his dream game was spore and EA tore that away from him by rushing and ruining the project, that's when he left. He actually left partway during sims 2 development I believe before last 2-3 expansions
2023 and I still play Sims2 over Sims4
why do you all call it a disappointment? the thing is brilliant. it works as intended, that is it takes players' money as much of them as possible. it is a very good scam many tv shows use it too making tons of episodes of no value profiting of viewers that are already on their hook because the show was good at the beginning 🤷how is this a failure? ea did great one can only imagine the profit🏆

@@yellowcatmonkeyRome wasn't built in a day. I've been slowly default replacing everything while just using regular cc and reshade for now.. the graphics will never be as good as ts4, but it's still nice to look at and Im there for the gameplay anyway

Me looking at the Sims 4 and comparing it to The Sims 2. Must be like my dad comparing me to when I was a baby and toddler to how I am today as an adult.
Apparently I was talking at 2 months old and walking at 6 months old and when I was four I could name every single dinosaur using their scientific names and now I'm 27 and I struggle to get out of bed every day.

I play sims 4 and my older sister plays sims 2. I also like the mail carrier in her games but I wear glasses and find it just overall better for my eyes playing 4 where I can identify things clearly

They put so much thought into the littlest details such as these in the previous sims, now I understand not all of the base games will be the same which is understandable but details such as thing just feels like actual time and love was put into the game and it would be lovely to see those details being added into four or the sims 5.

Totally recommended! It might not be Open World or have many personality traits like The Sims 3, but its gameplay and interactions are way deeper and meaningful in my opinion

The sims 4 being non-open world is no excuse for eliminating cars in the game. Sims 2 is a closed world but they give such attention to the smallest details!
It's just so sad that everyone either appears out of nowhere or walk everywhere in the sims 4
Sometimes I think we didn’t know what we had at the time, playing TS2 (I was 13), because it was so natural. The actions made sense and were complete. Now with all the missing animations and shortcuts - you really notice it feels like a dollhouse rather than a simulation. And there’s not a whole lot of excuse, especially in TS4’s case, since functionally it’s the closest iteration to 2 in terms of the limitations they chose.

Some stuff that was done in the earlier phases of sims, I wish they would have kept for sims 4…. Like being able to drive your own car, ordering groceries because I know my game doesn’t allow that, only pizza and other food dishes
I think that the developers designed The Sims 1, The Sims 2, and The Sims 3 with all love and passion, and when they got to The Sims 4, it seemed that they lost the passion a little because they put all their effort into the graphics 😂
