For non-French people, this song is about an emigrant child born on a boat going to a country other than that of his origins, the child is named "Mercy", "Merci" in French means "Thank you" in English

Eurovision started to change here, this song is an example, incredible lyrics, beautiful music, incredible singer, and came in 13th place, and the winner was the chicken with plagiarism, currently we see good songs in the last places, or many songs The good songs don't even make it to the final, and the worst songs made in the pressure cooker win and are all in the top 5, unfortunately plastic music fans are happy.
Honestly thought France should have been higher on the leader board.. People vote for the funny song and not really for songs that have deep messages.
MERCY is the only song in this year that touch my heart.they don't tell the story with words for me,they feel what they want to say 🇫🇷😍

We listened to this in a french class. Still one of the best lessons we had that year. Amazing song as well. Should of come at least top 5.
