Yes, you can do that so long as it's not hybrid.
Doc, I can’t seem to get my plants to have healthy stalks. They come up and are kind of stringy. Any suggestions?
They're possibly not getting sufficient light and or are overcrowded. If you grow indoors, provide supplemental light. If outdoors then you need to reduce shading. Prick out if they are overcrowded.
