Season 2 - Ep 9 - DESOLATION SOUND - Teakerne Arm, Refuge Cove and Von Donop Inlet

We get an anchorage right in front of a WATERFALL, swim in Cassel Lake and soak in the beauty of Desolation Sound! Fuel up and get some groceries at Refuge Cove. Enjoy exploring Von Donop Inlet and probably mispronounce the name ;)
Desolation Sound is so far our favorite place to cruise, a place we can disconnect, enjoy nature and not worry about time too much!
Stay tuned for the next episode as this is probably the best day I have ever had sailing in the PNW! Hint: We see WHALES!!!

Hi, I am not sure the brand...they came with the boat when we bought it but I know I saw them at a marine store in Nanaimo BC a few years ago...if you happen to be around that area. I tried googling them but couldn't find it.

Do you like the Fenderstep? I have seen mixed reviews as far as quality of build and initial inflation problems. We are getting older (not old yet!) and this seems like a good option for getting in and out of the dinghy. Enjoy your videos and Kist seems like a first rate vessel. S/V FLEKK II

We love our fenderstep, especially since we have high sides. The only downside is they get this hideous sticky residue on top where you step on. So far it hasn't tracked onto the boat and sometimes we put an old shirt over it...but the stickiness does give you a little traction.. so not perfect but worth it!
