This episode is a phone dump featuring my pride and joy the 105 - 1fzfe Landcruiser. I've had it a year and a half now and put it through its paces and this is some of the random footage I have. The trusty Cruiser has taken me a lot of places and been super reliable. I really can't fault it beside its a little heavy.
What's the deal:
It's sitting on EFS 2 inch lift 35 inch Comforser mud terrain and 16 inch -13 steelies with open diffs and front swarbar delete. It's got 430K on the clock with auto. ARB front bar with custom winch cradle with houses Kings Domina8tor 12 pound winch and some cheap spotties. 2.5 inch exhaust and extractors. Custom rock sliders, Titan draws with dual battery set up. Basically your every day 105 with cheap mods.
Mods to happen:
3 inch lift
Panel damage repaired
Rearbar with tyre swing away
Front and rear brush bars
New tyres with -22 steelies
ARB twin lockers

Hey man this is a great video, I recently got a 1998 model with 411000 km on the clock - an busy starting with the same sort of “project” as you I guess. This is really encouraging, seeing you get at it like this!

I realise this is a year old. Just wondering if you still have it or did it drink too much? 😭 I just bought the same cruiser... 98 model 1FZ-FE auto 105. How's the engine holding up? Mines got 380,000 on it.
Hey mate. Still got the mighty 105 and had for nearly 4 years. I did try to sell it but not going to give it a way. It has 440,000 Km's on it now. I did have to replace head gasket 6 months back but engine is healthy. Power steering along with rear main seal has been leaking the entire time and have had to do other things but it's pretty reliable. Service it every 8 to 10000 and I don't abuse it. Using around 20/100 but have a work car so not a major problem. I wouldn't use it for long distance touring but hard tracks and camping trips it's great. Would love to fte swap it but petrol has been great for a budget 4wd. Cheers

is it lc 105? i have diesel powered 4.2 lc 105 and it has 2 door on backside . isn't that model an 100?
The 105 came out in the 1hz and the 1fzfe both solid axel. My model is FZJ105R. 100 series came out with 2UZ-FE and the 1HD-FTE both IFS in front. I believe both models came out under the same 100 series banner 🤷♂️
