A modern twist on the traditional Irish craft, in this video I will show you how to make a St. Brigid's Day cross using old recycled magazine pages. We make these St Brigid's Crafts to celebrate the first day of Spring here in Ireland.
You will need
6 colourful magazine pages
Glue Stick
4 elastic bands - small

@@TheCraftCornerie yes, I enjoyed it. I did my first St Brigid cross yesterday and I wondered what I could use, since here in Scandinavia it is snowing (and is still very cold) and the nature has not yet started showing new green straw/wheat plants. So I used what I found in a shop for children: pipe cleaner, white and red. Next year I will use paper. 🍀

Because the first one is not bound and goes in 2 directions/arms.

Hi if you want more or even numbers you can just add another turn to yours. Remember that the first strip is straight so sometimes you cant see that one as well

I was doing that but then again i did m8ne out of Sari silk to tru it 1st. Do what i did and start again it will work the 2nd time around

I have made my crosses with rushes every year since childhood but this is perfect for now as my hands are sore with arthritis and rushes are harder to get now too. Thank you for sharing this lovely video. God bless you from Vera in Northern Ireland ❤
