I know this is way off topic, but I was struck by the change in Simon Z. Such a gentle spirit when he is explaining the need for the colt to the servant. Perfect portrayal of the change God can bring about in our lives if we will submit to His work in our lives
Yes, he is my favourite of all the apostles when it comes to The Chosen. He does not have that many scenes, but the ones he has are usually really beautiful.
Alaa (Simon Z) does a SUPERB job of quoting Zechariah. He would be great at doing voice-over (audio) Bible readings. I've really noticed what a good actor he is. Shalom!🌸
Thanks Brandon for another super history lesson - both tying things together with the OT & for telling us about the relief drawings in Rome! THAT was very cool! I'm gonna start a folder to save my fav history lesson videos that you make! ❤
I just love how excited you get when you explain new things that you find out or understand and how you get even moreso when you explain it to us . I would have never known about the carvings on the walls or the meanings of the donkey and the cross. Thank You ~
The bridle we see Jesus has doesn't have the reins, what you hold onto, so it's just the headstall, what goes on the horse/donkeys' head. So I think Simon Z grabs a set of reins and then attaches the reins to Jesus' headstall to create a full bridle set. I appreciate that as someone who knows horses and all the equipment.
Thank you for clearing my doubts about the entry of David like Hosanna! 🎉❤praise Jesus the prince of peace and the son of David 🙏 Thank you for the word 1kings 1 about adonijah and king Solomon. I truly appreciate your efforts 😊
I love how Johnathan Roumie plays this scene, but at the same time heartbreaking. Jesus is dreading what is to come. Love that The Chosen took the scripture "In this world I have loved as my own. ❤️ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My heart breaks every time I watch this part with Jesus speaking to the disciples before getting on the donkey.🥹. Jonathan shows how he feels and I believe he really doesn’t have to act, he just has everything in him, so to speak, he is amazing. The emotion is real and it must drain him so much. God bless him as he prepares for the future episodes, and give him strength 🙏🙏🙏
Can we talk about how when Jesus asks them to be with Him, Judas expression is so different from the rest? I felt like even Thomas, throughout all his pain, he is still there, still close to Jesus, he doesn't understand, he may have his doubts, but he still trusts Jesus plan. However, Judas is done. He doesn't understand, and he doesn't trust Jesus plan, he thinks his plan is better and he knows more. Judas looks like his done trying to understand and following, being close to Jesus. It is either his way or no way.
Two donkeys would be dam & foal. If the colt was unbroken, the presence of the mama would calm the colt and quiet him when something was thrown on his back. Until he learned what he was to do the mama would be led near him. This in itself shows Jesus' kingship over even the animals. I believe that only one donkey was mentioned in one of the accounts because the mama was extraneous to the story.
I worked in a Christian ministry office with a lady who authored a children's book depicting the roles of all of the donkeys - in a personified way - mentioned in Scripture. Her name was, Jeannie Thompson, and the book was called, _Let There be Donkeys._ 😊
Figured out the bridle. The one Zee has was on the post at the stable hanging on a nail. As Matthew untied the donkey, Zee took it off of the post. He's also carrying it as they walk up to Jesus as He and Mary open the box.
I loved the commentary at the end , in 2 Sam 15:23 It talks about the king at that time (David I'm not sure)passing the Kidron Valley, the same one Jesus passes. It is always amazing. I hope you can do more studies of connection with OT & NT. Particularly on Christ. Funny... I suppose you could say Jonah was the first real fisher of men! LOL God bless you
Bro, the best part of this video vas you explaining Solomon entry and all the expanding of the scripture. Yo should definitely do bible studies because they are very insightful, and full ofhistorical context.
Great commentary. another interesting point: Bethpage is the city-limit of Jerusalem. Jesus riding ‘into Jerusalem’ on a donkey will set off alarm bells of Zech 9:9 The last scene prob wld hve the three tent cities or pilgims during Passover. Ps. Palm branches=national flag see also Rev 7:9 when multitudes are cheering for team Israel & Yeshus
A bridle if made of leather can last a very long time if it’s is cared for-( oiled regularly) to keep it supple. I have a question: how does one become a background volunteer? I’d love to do this- but don’t know how to get started!
Did anyone notice the cloth that Jesus drapes over his shoulders and the cloth draped behind David as he was riding into Jerusalem? Another connection?
David, the great king of Israel, had a lot of human failings. And so did his son Solomon. Still, flaws and all, they were and are remembered as good stewards of Israel. And Jesus, from the line of David, is the fulfillment of God's promise to bring salvation to the world. I find it interesting that they showed the scene of David with his son anointing the sheep, readying for sacrifice. He came to the city with the same bridle that Jesus now uses on his colt. David prepares the lamb for sacrifice, as Mary of Bethany prepares Jesus for His sacrifice. This whole season was incredible, except I do hope that Ramah will rise again (and as Mary said, the end of time is a very long wait). Maybe in season 7? That's three years from now. The same amount of time Jesus spent in his ministry.
I am thinking after Jesus rises from the timb and sends the 12 out to preach the Good News she will be a great s suporter with moneu\y and any maritial things needed
That editing mistake with the repeated shot was there when I watched the episode in theatre. I don't remember if that shot of the city was repeated, but for sure the shot of Jesus putting the orange shawl was. Fortunately they fixed this :)
It’s on the highest spot of Mount Moriah yes. But it is not the highest location in Jerusalem. The mount of olives for example overlooks the temple by quite a bit.
If they do I with not be able to bear it the passion of the christ crushed me so much I have not been able to bring my self to watch i have watched many violent movies but the passion of the christ was too devastating watching a human being dismantle in such a violent manner it strikes you at heart and pushes your eyes not to look at the dismantle
Hi love your videos and humor. Just pure speculation but since it appears Judas stole Thomas's time piece, I wouldn't be surprised if it falls out of his cloak in a small scuffle as the disciples realize he betrayed Christ. Or the writers could have him return it just like he gives back the 30 coins...any thoughts on how they will handle the stolen time piece, which is so significant of Thomas &Ramah's love?? Or stepped on in the tussel/arrest? I'm very curious how that will come in to play.😮😊❤God bless and thank you.
He surely stole it, after Thomas leaves from burying it Judas looks over to where it was buried. Sneaking around. He is the thief. So I could be wrong but I do think it will play out.

I recently saw a video, "Akeldama: Field of Blood", ua-cam.com/video/W6SkIL15X1I/v-deo.htmlsi=wPRDHVKob4d0f2FP, which shows carvings and reliefs that depict the same designs as on this box! "You alone have the words of eternal life" is from John 6, said after disciples leave Jesus because of His teaching on the Eucharist, and Jesus asks His apostles if they want to leave too.
I know this is way off topic, but I was struck by the change in Simon Z. Such a gentle spirit when he is explaining the need for the colt to the servant. Perfect portrayal of the change God can bring about in our lives if we will submit to His work in our lives
What change have you noticed? Wasn’t simon z always this gentle kind person. 🤔
Yes, I noticed it too. Quotes Zechariah with such humility yet with joy. Great job on Alaa's part.😁

Remember Matthew is Autistic and in the beginning Phillip was teaching him how to tell jokes, so this is progress for him.
Great point! I also love when Nathaniel tells Thomas that Matthew can tell jokes hahaha
That was my thought, the joke was not meant to be really funny, but to present Matthews current level of joking abilities 😊

Thank you Brandon for all your breakdowns of season four they were particularly good this season
