I don’t think Randolph was lying about being at his limit. If I remember right didn’t the hydra scale work by using proportional amount of mana to the attack received to nullify the attack. So the lightning attack and each stone cannon being emperor class would have needed the mana equivalent which would have drained Randolph mana pool. Now imagine Rudeus using the magic armor which can fire off emperor class stone cannons like it’s a machine gun Randolph would’ve been toast if he tried to nullify it with the scale.
i like this idea, but seeing the future of the series in later chapters i dont think its 100% solid. at the end of the day randolph is the death god for a reason and #5 . i wont spoil anything, but based on future fights i think randolph v rudy is pretty up in the air. i think he's telling a half truth only in the sense that he's not really wanting to fight anyways, so he would likely give up against the strength rudy has.
@@michaelwood3922 I think if Rudy go all out like when fighting Orsted, Randolph just lose. Orsted never say that Rudy can win against any of the World Power, but he said Rudy can win against Randolph. Others world power have things that somewhat counter his Stone Cannon, like Extreme Durability (Orsted).... Randolph isn't a Water God practicioner, I believed 100% that he exhausted his mana erased the single stone cannon. It's Emperor level. Even Roxy and Sylphy can't cast Emperor magic because they lack Mana.
@nguyendi92 Roxy is literally a water emperor. Randolph also has regeneration unlike Orsted. Randolph was also a candidate for North God. Who btw totally can 1v1 Rudy at this point in the story. Mind you the current north God is also related to Randolph. The family is insanely strong and all of them can potentially kill Rudy. It's not a easy 1 aided match up. Which is why I say Randolph doesn't know the limits either, just as Rudy doesn't know. The only person who can decide is the writer should they make the fight happen.
@@michaelwood3922 Uhm , Roxy isnt Emperor rank. That's just wrong. Randolph regeneration isnt as strong as Atofe or Badi, because dilution of bloodline. It would be useless in the heat of battle just like Kalman II and Kalman III. While Randolph and Rudy didn't know their limit, Orsted does, he most likely fought Randolph in his looping He has full confident that Rudy can beat Randolph, so he didnt rush to Shirone. Most of the danger Rudy face in the story was because he never went all out from the get go.
@nguyendi92 oh right she went to king. Had them mixed up. We don't know how powerful Randolph can be and just speculate off context clues. I'm just here to make the argument Randolph doesn't lose 100% of the fights they could have

When he got split, his dragon side became Technique God and his demon side became the Demon God

This is my head cannon and my intuitive leap, but the fact that Pax was supposed to normally abolish his own position and turn Shirone into a Republic, while its never clarified what triggers this change, but its possible Pax was always going to have a crisis that triggers this change. This time however, because of his exile and how things turn out the crisis comes early and triggers his suicide. I think him taking the throne also comes in ahead of schedule, while I admit there are a lot of leaps of logic here its definitely a possibility short of there being more facts.

Obviously Randolph was bluffing his way out of that fight, it's literally his way of fighting. When he explains to Rudeus he had him cornered, this is after they are on friendly terms and he's being open. Randolph is shown to be a very open and forthcoming person (when he's not fighting), as you can even see before they started fighting.
He took a direct hit from the lightning, and dispelled MULTIPLE stone cannons that were "at king or emperor" tier. He was being very honest when he mentions that he would have lost if they had kept fighting.

Aspects aren’t “1 of a kind” it’s like “high mana” or “green hair” etc. and multiple people can have the same aspect. It takes someone having all aspects to be able to be reincarnated into that infants body

Randolph was talking about Badigadi fighting Dragon God Laplace in the second great human-demon war 5000 years ago, not the Laplace war 400 years ago, you got that wrong
You're misunderstanding something, the aspects don't need to be gathered, the laplace factor is a mutation that allows for a huge mana pool and control for magic, there can be millions of people with that mutation and laplace when he's ready to reincarnate will just be born in any of the many bodies that are compatible (have the mutation)
That's not quite right. Laplace can't be reborn until there's someone with such a mutation that they've got a near identical body to the old Laplace, to ensure his soul is compatible.
@@NathanaelCrapo I don't think the body needs to be identical, I was under the impression that reincarnation simply takes a while, I have read all LN plus redundancy plus old dragon's tale and I don't remember anything about the body having to be near identical

I've been binging your content and I just want to say excellent job brother Right now I'm at 40 minutes into this video and you're talking about Rudy's friend becoming the new ruler and like you talked about before what makes the best ruler "someone who doesn't want it" .
1:12:26 I think this is just a good lesson about a teacher, Sometimes something that you didn't mean can cause something in the future, so as a teacher, a good teacher is a lesson to teach carefully and always look at the childern or someone you teach very very carefully and emotionally for their future.
i heard about this kind of situation in a university class for teachers. This chapter is relatable, especially for teachers who teaching for more than 15 years and see the students again when they grow up.
Suicide is always a result of a long string of events, but a person only needs a single reason to keep on living.
In a different world Roxy could have become that one reason for Pax, just like she became the one reason that kept Rudy going during his depression.
So she's not wrong in feeling that she could have saved Pax, but she's not responsible for his death as she is only one out of hundreds of people who could have become his reason for living.
In the end suicide is a choice only those who can't bear the burden of life make. But no matter the circumstances that lead to it, it's their decision.

don't take this wrong but a good 20 mins could be edited out of ch11, you basically tripled down on the same subject for a while. maybe a basic chapter layout and though process would clear things up a bit. I understand it's a though process but going over it once made the point just fine. this isn't anything except me making an opinion.
yeah man I felt the same way I get wanting to elaborate on a subject but running circles around the same point for a solid 30 minutes multiple times in one video is just excessive

Its probably a reminder to Orsted that hitogami is cunning. Best boi Zanoba helped Orsted though on realizing that even though this setup failed, they still have many other options ahead.

It's my second favorite isekai novel, ahead of Re:Zero and a full tier above Konosuba, Slime or Overlord. But it's very different from your typical isekai.

we never got a concrete age for randolph but he maximum 300-320. but he most likely in his 200s somewhere. in the previous episode you wondered what immortal demon he descended from. the answer is atofe. he is her great-grandson. what are talking about the technique god.? orsted already said he is the draconic half of laplace.

About the Pax thing, Roxy didn't cause his suicide, she was just one of the 100s of things that did. She objectively failed Pax, and for what I understand that happened before Pax started assaulting her. This is not a excuse to the things Pax did, but still it was part of the accumulation of things that made Pax into what he became. If Roxy didn't fail him, Pax might have ended up better. So it is a "she didn't cause the issue but she could've stopped it" scenario.
Also, to be honest, I have no problems with Pax taking hostages and killing his family. This is politics, not a kids game. Everything is expected when they have such a trash and worthless system. The fact that Pax was just born with disadvantages for being born late (seventh prince) gives him the right to do anything in his power to get a fighting chance. Ginger wanting to resign after Pax bought her from Zanoba fair and square is fucking insane, no shit he would make sure he can keep it, as it is literally the requirement to become king. Pax did what he had do. Killing his family? they litereally sent him as a hostage to another nation

Pax's story is a tragedy and it is a shame to read, but the man was still a terrible person. Now to clarify he wasn't ALL bad, he did do some good in his life, like stick with Benedict, and purge the corrupt officials, but most of Pax's actions were purely despicable. Shirone is not the best place to raise a healthy monarch with it's hyper competitive, back stabbing system, so I can't blame Pax alone for ending up the way he did, but the end result was a hateful, spiteful individual. When Roxy left, Pax didn't just try to find her, he wanted to bring her back and hurt her, and everyone she knew. He forced people to follow him through fear, blackmail, kidnappings, and many other methods.
When he came back from the King Dragon realm, it was basically a second chance for Pax to turn his life around yet he decided to take the crudest, poorest route to get what he wanted. Even ignoring his methods of simply murdering the royal family, he failed to lay any ground work ahead of time to secure his new position and keep other nations at bay. He just walked in and started killing people. I pity Pax's upbringing but not the man he became.
Pax was thematically who Rudeus could be without a support network. I disagree with "failing to lay a groundwork", it's the King Dragon kingdom put pressure on Pax from Hitogami. Pax was exceptional in King Dragon kingdom, but being forced to "prove himself", as fast as possible. In alternate history, Pax would have take a much slower and safer approach. It's Hitogami's scheme to kill Pax at the end of the day.
Also , the existence to Rudeus fuck up Roxy's mentality toward teaching. It compound on his mind. With a more thoughtful Roxy, Pax could have been a bit better, not being unhinged, kidnapping other people. Pax also wouldn't get exiled if Rudy wasn't existed.
He is the equivalent of modern day's neglected kid's grow up to be in a gang/ become a criminal. The criminal still deserved punishment, but you alsways wonder what if they have a better education or a better upbringing, will it change their life? The tragedy here isn't Pax is a good man now. Pax is not good enough NOW.
The tragedy here is Pax WILL become a good man in the future. He was TRYING to be a better man. Orsted's loop tell us it was a certainty. Rudeus finally can see himself in Pax, and he may have turn into Pax if Roxy treated him like how she treat Pax. Oldeus is literally what will happen if he lose people that care about him.
Zanoba also lose his only remaining brother, that's just pure sadness, man.
