What adorable little rodents
The sleep wheezes 😭❤
He all rolled up like a lil cinnamon roll.
Now I'm hungry
@@jaye739lol
*Imagine the dormouse, with its soft fur and gentle demeanor, curled into a tight ball resembling a delightful cinnamon roll*
That’s exactly what he looks like!
He reminded me of fried chicken, but a cinnamon roll would be great, too 😄
so adorable and how lucky to get the chance to hold one
bros jealous wat can u do?
Yeah, I would love to spot one in the nature
I love that they snore.
They are whistling in their sleep 😴 😊❤
The cutest snores ever!!! 😊😊😊
It’s like a cartoon mouse snoring and squeaking in his sleep! Probably where Disney got the idea for the dormouse to sing in his sleep in Alice in Wonderland, he sings “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” as he slowly drifts down holding on to his little umbrella, before falling into the Mad Hatter’s teapot.
@@user-nl3xw4gg7m darling❤️You have written a beautiful comment🌻
so cute the little dormouses
What a joy, lovely animals these one are
All my life I thought it was "door-mouse" 😂
I once had a little mole I’d rescued from our cat run up my leg inside my jeans, much to the amusement of my kids (cat was a bit odd and instead of catching it had watched it going round and round in a bowl).
Thanks BBC earth 👍
Innocent enchanting little animals! I hope that they continue to be safe and their numbers grow.
Thank you for giving hazel dormice their moment in the spotlight! 💚
I never knew they where a protected species, I see so many posts from people with cats wandering that bring them home. It’s really sad and there should be something done about it
Honestly we shouldn't let our cats roam outside.
@@selinesbeauexactly. Anyone who does is ignorant, pathetic, entitled, and deserves to rot in hell.
In NZ for diminishing numbers of any species we blame rats, yes even hedgehogs, loss of habitat, and ofc the latest tool in the imaginary box, climate change BUT we never mention cats coz they are NZs most popular pets and that wouldnt be acceptable.
@ImFieldy thing is, if we all gets our cats fixed and keep them inside, any issues would be greatly reduced
@@ImFieldy in the uk owners think how dare you expect us to keep our cats in, even tho there found daily being run over and killing birds and field mice that are actually rare now, among other things, I get cats pooing weekly on my lawn. It takes the piss. They think they don’t have the same responsibility as dog owners and you get a lot of stray cats because people just let them breed and leave them to roam constantly. Luckily I’ve got a dog so it’s deterred them from pooing in the back garden so I’m planning on putting up a fence in the front garden so the dog can go put the front and the back and hopefully that will deter them from both
S000o00o0oOOO CUTE!!!!!!!
😍 so cuuuuuuute!!!!! 😍

What a cool job to see how dormouse are fairing. We need to protect these cute little guys/gals.
So adorable
So cute!
I found myself thinking, ' how adorable' and then the pun rose up and whacked me upside my head!
Lovely creature.
incredibly cute!
Super adorable lil mousies!
I assume there are also Dorrats - you know, the kind that go in empty handed and trot out with a slice of pizza.
Oh my heart ❤ so cute
Какая прелесть!
Terrific job you guys are doing.
They are so cute! I wish we had them in the USA. 🥰
Definitely my spirit animal 😄
Remember what the Dormouse said.
Feed your head! ❤
God bless BBC Earth. ❤❤❤❤
They are so cute. I wanna have it as a pet.❤❤❤
Love this!
Hazel dormouse is important for nature its a bioindicator species.
I have two hazels and a cobnut tree in my garden and great canopy (some might call it lazy gardening but I insist it’s wildlife-friendly). Just need a dormouse or ten. My favourite small mammal of all time.
Really makes you appreciate how awful the Romans were that they could look at those little creatures and think, “I wonder what that tastes like?” (but in Latin of course).
@@clarewillison9379 yeah they called it the "European edible dormouse".
I’ve known about them for much of my life. Then I found out that one is a character in Alice in Wonderland, and now that’s what I imagine when I see an actual dormouse! I’m American, so I never got to see one in person, but I’ve seen them in nature documentaries and in pictures in books. I think our equivalent here would be a chipmunk or ground squirrel, or maybe a woodchuck. Appearance-wise, the dormouse reminds me somewhat of our flying squirrels: small, compact bodies, huge eyes relative to the head, long, bushy tail, tiny legs and paws, and small ears.
💖💖💖 Soo Cute

😍 so cute 😍
"So I'll eat my dinner and grow big, and then I'll be enor-mouse!" - Brian Jacques
Hard to find? Try looking in the tea pot, I've heard they like those.
I live in a rooftop and I have one behind the wooden paneling - I can hear it, but I never could see it :)
*Mas é muito bonitinho!*
*🤩•🤩•🤩•🤩•🤩*
Sehr schön 🤠
Fun fact: the Hazel dormouse is featured on the new British 1 penny coin
I now need to take some cash out and get change to see the penny!
💜🙏
I LOOOOOVEEE DORMOUSE
How much negative effect on wildlife do dog walkers and their dogs galumphing through the undergrowth/woods have ?
if they want to increase the number of the dormouse just start breeding them and make them available as pets they would soon become more common than a hamster.
They are too specialised to be pets due to their hibernation of 6 months, but providing nest boxes and managing the woods so they have plenty of food increases their survival x
😻😻I love the little door mouse they are so cute, but I love rodents as my cats know as I’m for ever rescuing them when they bring them into the house, I chase the cats which is not easy at my age now 😹😹😹and once I grab them I make them drop the mouse into my hand, where I keep it until I feel their little hearts slow down I then grab some dry cat food place them into the special hide and seek setup I made which gives then a chance to eat and rest and then escape under ground and take one of the many tunnels I have leading off from it😹
Gross clean your house
Mousie cutie
Soooo they wear masks to protect the mouse from covid but then handle them without gloves? 🤦♂
👍🏻

This the typa shit i be on on the daily, yall wouldn't understand
That sounds like a pokemon
terrifying beasts. Nature and evolution has no mercy evolving the apex predator, this video is prime exhibit A
Mother Nature & mercy, it’s two different things, mercy word is our invention & do we kept it somehow some time for the distressed one, no matter that’s animals 🦒 🦓 🦔 creatures, humans or watery livings, but Mother Nature is deadly furious & butchered for the all living lives, whom he himself has created to experienced agony, brutality & pains of catastrophe living life’s.
The one & only deadliest punishment is bloody 🩸🩸🩸 life itself & prior to blessed life to any living creatures, he is braces with the death 💀 ☠️ sentences prior to committing any crimes you fools.
Whoosh
Do our thoughts influence nature?
Indeed, our thoughts influence nature.
We live in a single global-integral system of nature, we influence it with our thoughts, and we receive feedback accordingly.
Similar to laws that operate on mechanical, electronic, electromagnetic and other material and biological scales, when we press, push or constrain something, we receive a response. Likewise, when we think positively or negatively about others, we accordingly receive a response.
The global-integral reality in which we live is a closed system, and we receive responses from it according to our attitudes to it.
Feed your head?
Should the dormouse officer inspect the nest with his bare hands? Should he be concerned about contamination or transfer, in either direction, of biological agents?
We are very careful to undertake measures to prevent any cross-contamination and use hand sanitiser and other similar procedures to reduce risk.
Climat what ?covid what ?😊
They are coming into my hostel room 😢😢 what should I do to get rid of them 😭😔
TO HELP THE DOOR MOUSE WE NEED TO EXPAND THE FOREST WERE THEY ARE IN AND PROTECT RHAT FOREST THEY SHOULD INTRODUCE DOOR MOUSE AND LYNXS ACROSS THE WHOLE OF SCOTLADN AND ISLE OF MAN AS WELL
Всем нужны внимание и защита. А таким малышкам, как сони, особенно. Спасибо за сюжет! Татьяна, Москва, Россия 🇷🇺
Stop searching for me...😏
can you make a video on tigers
I thought only the Chinese are known for eating anything that moves. Never know this rodent is a delicacy in Europe.
Not the Hazel dormouse. The others are grey and much bigger. They're called edible dormice.
اتابع القناة منذ عام 2013 ولهذا السبب عملت قناة على اليوتيوب
A friendly suggestion, please always use medical grade gloves as well as masks when handling animal kingdom species.
😅😅😅well ingormeti0n.Good show 😅😅
🚪🐁😴
Shouldn't touch any while covid is going around... If you really care
I find it strange that he is a Zoologist but pronounces it wrong. It is Zo-ologist. It is understandably confusing but there are videos explaining why.
hi
So you deleted my comment because I brought up a Jefferson Airplane song? Really??
I was going to ask, "Does anyone remember what the dormouse said? "
@@R-compoundR-code simple line, yet I got deleted. I have issues with folks who delete messages.
Grace Slick...Jefferson Airplane...
just a muse...

Its all about him cant stand his clips
AT LEAST GET THE BIODIVERSITY ACROOS WHOLE OF UK NOW AND BY THE END IF 2035
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
so we wear masks and then hold it with bare hands. smh. Why risk it. Put the box in the bag and I bet the mouse inside to hide. Voila!
They're awesome in a stew
You've never even seen one irl
You are eating endangered animals?
@@Bluefire42156 they're not endangered in Croatia. You can get doormouse stew in two regions here
@@just.nobody I do not live in UK
@@TheStockwell you may have mistaken Croatia for a place where cats are eaten. I do not know of a such place, you're free to inform me of it should you find it
You can eat those like the Romans did
Feed them to the neighbors 🐱!
If only the BBC could refrain from peppering EVERY wildlife video with references to nonsense like climate change and covid this video would be suitable for small children. Can't you just leave it out for once guys?
Covid to rodents lmao
