- IMBC Student, Ken, practicing the Reverse offset backing portion of the maneuverability test. I try to get the students get comfortable enough to do these maneuvers with the truck moving as much as possible. Great job Ken!

Here is the idea. The way you in is the way you out.
Jealous of these schools with actual painted lines on the ground and bright orange cones lol. My school=gravel dirt yard. Old ass cones and ratchet straps for lines
I've worked at schools with those conditions... I LOVE it here where I'm teaching now :)
I wish there was a way you could tell us which way you were turning the steer tires. Such as 1 full turn left till see the landing gear, then straighten steer tires by turning the wheel 2 turns right then pull straight back till tandem tires get close to dotted line and drive tire close to line on right
Just gotta practice
This is how to do the final element of this maneuver. For the Pennsylvania State test, there are 4 elements, or maneuvers that you must complete.
Setup: Make sure your truck and trailer are straight and parallel to the outer boundary of the parking space. Also, position them close to the left corner cone of the space.
Starting Point: Pull past the parking space before you begin.
Backing Up: Reverse straight until your back tires are near the left corner cone of the parking space.
Turning Sequence:
First, turn left.
Then, turn right.
Go straight.
Next, turn right again.
Finally, turn left.
((An easy way to remember this is to remember that Lionel Richey Sings Real Loud))
Remember, how much you turn, when you make each turn, and your focal points will all depend on whether you’re doing it step by step or continuously moving. Good luck! 🚚
When the landing gear gets on the dotted line turn left last
young fellow did an excellent job
Thank you, he really worked hard on his maneuvers
Test tomorrow @730
Hope you did well on your test !
idk this fellow but i was so proud of him accomplishing that
He really worked hard on his maneuvers. Thank you!
Nicely done.
Thanks!
Failed my license test the first time because of this damn maneuver
The maneuvers are no joke. Don't practice until you get it right... practice until you can't get it wrong!
Hey Terry. At what point do you put the hard right in?
That really depends on several things like the angle that you're at and whether you are keeping the trailer moving or if you're doing the maneuver(s) 1 step at a time.
Good job
Thanks
Thanks

@@TerryTeachesTrucking thinking about it but they want 5400 😐.. what if I don't pass it 😂🙃
@@keennm7169 our first time pass rate is insanely high and we offer additional training on weekends to students who need it.
