Maybe soprano but not a dramatic. But voice is developed which is a lost art. Singing with chestvoice involvement gives her squillo which makes all the difference. She’s not a true dramatic mezzo that’s for sure.
I would say she is a spinto, but she did a carreer as a mezzo cause it was essier that way and then transition to spinto soprano repertoire (Wich is fine, we have bills to pay). It is very common to confuse a spinto for a mezzo, and it is fine to transition to soprano later in life (Like did Verret and Bumbry).
Yes, I like maestro Muti's delicate interpretation, and personally I found out Baltsa sang with much deeper voice than this rendition with maestro Karajan. Thanks for your meaningful comment!
Excellent vowels, powerful chest voice, amazing clearness.
I love her.
è più un soprano drammatico, che un mezzo, ma è bravissima e precisa. Top.

She is indeed excellent but very sadly they adjusted the volume on this posting. See minute 13:50 in the full concert to realize how good she is.
fantastica
I prefer Agnes in the Muti recording with Renata Screecho, Veriano Luchetti and Evgeny Nesterenko but that had no video...
