Hats off to you guys, dis is de way to show hw diff vehicles perform. Der is lot of information frm your videos for enthusiast like me dat no body else gives. A big tnks to you guys 4 doin a gr8 job.
Anshuman Bishnoi Ironman's south Africa page lists a suspension upgrade for scorpio... was wondering if you are aware since you have installed the same brand suspension on your fortuner
i really think you should have the same driver in the different cars anshuman sir. According to what i have learned, its 70% driver skills and 30 % hardware power.
Pritish Sinha no bro they are group of enthusiasts who are having adventures ; they are not endorsing any car to have same driver and test car s ability
they dont advertise cars, for sure, but whenever a car fails at an obstacle course, people will definetely blame the car first while it might be just the drivers fault, offroading in SUVs requires a lot of steering control and pedal control as well, with the right balance, a car which failed might just be able to do it
We have done same driver in both cars comparison earlier when Scorpio did not have MLD: ua-cam.com/video/zGwZnEwtkm4/v-deo.html Then when the first Scorpio got the MLD I did all the driving for this test: ua-cam.com/video/k8UhB0pg9cg/v-deo.html Now we cannot do the same all the time. Also, there is no fixed percentage on driver skill to vehicle capability, there are a lot more variables, like experienced spotters on radio positioned at different places, Rohit was sitting in both the Scorpios on passenger seats to guide the drivers( who anyways are more experienced than most people commenting here).
Rexton has 2 different kind of 4x4 systems- Automatic comes with full time AWD in which the center diff cannot be locked and there is no low range, its an useless system for offroad(on road its anyways a boat), that version cannot even enter this obstacle forget about crossing it. Manual comes with a proper 4x4 system with low range but it has open diffs, so it would perform similar to Endeavour in this video.
@ Anshuman Sir, primarily it was not untill recently that I realised that you were the same Anshuman from teambhp, although following the site for close to a deacde. Such a shame. My sincere apologies. 1. I wanted a suggestion, I am planning to buy a SUV, my first, maximum budget of 15 odd lakhs (i.e on on road budget). 2. Usage would be 70 % city, rest on highway, but an added 4X4 would give me courage to explore more, which I would love to. 3. Would require a seven seater(so duster and likes cancelled out) as I mostly travel with my dog,so need that flexibility. 4. Planning to keep it for 7-8 years, annual milage would be approx 30,000 KM's. Please suggest. Thanks.
15 Lakhs on road, only seven seater 4x4 you can buy is Scorpio S4+ 4wd, no choice for you. If you drop the 7 seats criteria, you can get Isuzu V Cross and Renault Duster, both are better cars than Scorpio. If you are open to used cars, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Toyota Fortuner will be good choice.
Hello Anshuman bishoi sir. Can I fit (thar and scorpio getaway's) mld in my 2wd isuzu dmax. And is there any mlocker available for dmax in india and what will be the cost ?
Cannot say without trying, it has no special advantage for this place(either a locker or extra articulation), but the suspension is setup really well, It has capability to surprise.
Hexa is not good for offroad use- 1. Its too heavy a car without low range gearing reduction. 2. Low ground clearance with poor approach, departure and ramp breakover angle. 3. Comes with a 4x4 badge but is an AWD actually.
XUV is a much better car compared to Scorpio, but it is not recommended car for offroading, occasional off road use it is good but not for frequent hardcore off road use. Scorpio has proper 4x4 hardware, but in stock form it is bad offroader. In the same budget have a look at Isuzu V Cross.
hi, which two-way radio sets/ walkie talkies you use. please advise as we are planning a road trip with 3-4 cars and looking for a better way to communicate .
Broda wanna ask that which will be the best car for the country like Nepal which is full of hilly areas under 15 lakh inr I need NYC ground clearance and Amt Awd too So suggest me any with NYC ground clearance
Good job bro.. as an suv enthusiast, i have never seen any other channel showing and testing the capabilities of domestic suv's as yours does. however, i wonder whether the suv's are kept in 4x4 mode? (since i'm living in the hills, i have seen and have driven suv's such as gypsy and thar performing much better in difficult terrains and roads, that too in the wet seasons)
Why would we drive in 2wd if we have have 4x4 vehicles, you live in hills but that doesn't make you any expert for all of terrains, I am sure you have never handled diagonally placed foot deep ruts and you might even not know what open diffs are and how they behave.
Hi Anshuman and Team, :-I want's to know can this MLD be installed on rear wheel drive Scorpio as well...as this has nothing to do with the front axle..m i correct?
Very nice & informative video. do you mean the upgraded suspension of the fortuner made up for what it lost with an open differential ? does this hold true for other vehicles too ??
Yes increased travel and articulation does help a lot in this Fortuner, while the Scorpio has poor suspension it just climbed because of MLD Autolocker at rear axle.
Lot of suv manufacturer in India call there products offroader but they thought no one actually does it in India but now with ppl like you and the whole off roading culture catching up the manufacturer has to put top notch stuff to bare with the bullying done.
One example is- India might be the only country where Fortuner 4x4 does not come with rear differential lock, Same for Isuzu and most other manufacturers, many don't even bother to give us a 4x4 variant.
Hi all, Aftermarket MLD like these on the Scorpio do prove its mettle but there have been some discussions. below is a quoted excerpt from Late Mr D Behram, one of the pioneer in Indian Automobile Engineering in recent time and especially with 4x4 and Thar and all these He has left us a question to ponder. This is quoted from T-Bhp forum thread on Eaton MLD "Dear all - please note that in any differential, the power goes from the propeller shaft to pinion to crown to cage to star gears to sun gears to axle shafts to wheels. Normally 4*4 application vehicle differentials run 4 star gears, so when the vehicle is driving straight (means when the star gears are not physically rotating on their cage cross pin but transmitting power), the torque is shared by 4 teeth. When MLD is fitted, where does it physically locate? Obviuously in the place occupied by the star gears, because the MLD is basically a pawl and ratchet mechanism, it has to lock something to something else, so it must be next to the locking members only, naa? So, out of 4 star gears, 2 have to go, so that there is place to fit the MLD mechanism. What happens to the torque transmission now? The same torque as before has to be taken by 2 teeth instead of 4. Will this not require use of a higher strength material? Is this confirmed by the manufacturer? Is the material and heat treatment specified in the drawing? Will the metallurgist of the OEM approve this drawing? What is the shear strength of the MLD ratchet locating pin?" Doesnt this mean aftermarket fitted diffs with MLD will be weaker? It certainly does i feel. (or am i been biased in thoughts having a OEM fitted MLD?")
I respect Mr. Dhabar for his contribution to Automotive world. But here are a few other facts- 1. Eaton Autolocker is sold worldwide in under different names, its a tried and tested design. 2. Mahindra factory installs Eaton Autolocker(MLD) in Scorpio Pikup(Getaway here) for many markets. 3. Thar comes factory installed with Eaton Autolocker(MLD) Given a choice I would pick a selectable locker instead of Autolocker but for most users Autolocker is a safer bet, improper usage of selectable locker can lead to super expensive damage within few minutes.
sir you can try to pull handbrake in ford endeavour it might help to engage lsd www.4x4community.co.za/forum/showthread.php/61964-Use-of-handbrake-to-act-as-rear-difflock
Does not help for this of terrain, reasons- LSD even if it is getting engaged, transfers so little power that is not enough to propel the car forward on such a incline. Even a brief interruption in power delivery will make it impossible to climb.
5:44 all tyres in air!! AWESOME
Best car offroad testing videos by anshuman bishnoi ... keep uploading....

Awesome jump Scorpion 👌
Scorpio sure does love hopping a lot
Could u pls brief de technical nd performance diff btwn MLD nd LSD, as am only familiar with LSD,manual locker nd air locker
Hats off to you guys, dis is de way to show hw diff vehicles perform. Der is lot of information frm your videos for enthusiast like me dat no body else gives. A big tnks to you guys 4 doin a gr8 job.
Check this out for LSD vs MLD comparison: ua-cam.com/video/VLEFerXnJQI/v-deo.html
The fortuner is a beast.Still in awe by its performance
Both black and blue Scorpio have mld installed?
That jump was awesome 😇😇😇
+Ev3r Yashw4nt EV Agree Scorpio never fails to entertain, and scare the occupants
Is MLD fitted aftermarket?
would you suggest any suspension upgrade for the scorpio in addition to the MLD?
+Aswin Prabhu Highly recommended but sadly no good suspension upgrades available as of now.
Anshuman Bishnoi Ironman's south Africa page lists a suspension upgrade for scorpio... was wondering if you are aware since you have installed the same brand suspension on your fortuner
+Aswin Prabhu I am aware of it, however it is for old generation Scorpio with Torsion bar suspension in front, new one uses double wishbone design.
Anshuman bishnoi you doing a good job no dought but I just wanna ask you if you have choice between thar and Scorpio which one you prefer ?
Do you disconnect the sway bars for locations like this?
Sir, did you experience any problem or difference in driving after installing MLD ?
i really think you should have the same driver in the different cars anshuman sir. According to what i have learned, its 70% driver skills and 30 % hardware power.

Also Stock Scorpio with the best driver in the world cannot climb this. Old Endeavour if tried through different approach can do but not Scorpio.
Anshuman Bishnoi but scorpio MLD might take it on
The Scorpio has 'open diffs' or LSD factory fitted?
Open
Scorpio 4wd?
Yes I am talking about 4wd
Hi Anshuman, How would a Rexton AWD (Stock) have performed on such a course ?
Rexton has 2 different kind of 4x4 systems-
Automatic comes with full time AWD in which the center diff cannot be locked and there is no low range, its an useless system for offroad(on road its anyways a boat), that version cannot even enter this obstacle forget about crossing it.

Would you suggest Scorpio or XUV for city and slight off-road uses? (considering the price)
I'd prefer XUV for city and highway use
Are those aftermarket Lockers ?? Link plz
You guys just rock! Hats off to you Anshuman.
Hello Anshuman bishoi sir.
Can I fit (thar and scorpio getaway's) mld in my 2wd isuzu dmax.
And is there any mlocker available for dmax in india and what will be the cost ?
good one I have front wheel drive cam it do this ?
Not even a stock 4wd Scorpio can do this, forget about any fwd car
Hey Anshuman

@@Anshyuman sorry but just wanted to know why not in bolero ....
what is mld and what it costs to install
Ek number video
🤣 khod dia khodi dia 🤘🏻
whats your opinion for stock pajero sfx, in this situation?
Cannot say without trying, it has no special advantage for this place(either a locker or extra articulation), but the suspension is setup really well, It has capability to surprise.
Anshuman Bishnoi ok, can i join and test my vehicle? :D
What car do you drive?
Anshuman Bishnoi stock pajero sfx.

Hi Anshuman,
What are your thoughts on Tata hexa (4x4) offroad ? may be not in such difficult conditions. is it any worth or just a gimmick?
Hexa is not good for offroad use-
1. Its too heavy a car without low range gearing reduction.
2. Low ground clearance with poor approach, departure and ramp breakover angle.
3. Comes with a 4x4 badge but is an AWD actually.
sir could u prefer that scorpio is best for offroading or xuv
please answer it.
If I were to buy a Mahindra for offroading, it would be Thar.
sit but i want feature s in car nd thar don't have good feature
XUV is a much better car compared to Scorpio, but it is not recommended car for offroading, occasional off road use it is good but not for frequent hardcore off road use. Scorpio has proper 4x4 hardware, but in stock form it is bad offroader. In the same budget have a look at Isuzu V Cross.
ok

President CB Radio
Scorpio nice car
great work..mld is like Thor's hammer..is this area near Shikhopur/Hasanpur..kindly let us know how to join your team of 4wd..i own a scorpio s 10,2wd
Broda wanna ask that which will be the best car for the country like Nepal which is full of hilly areas under 15 lakh inr
I need NYC ground clearance and Amt Awd too
So suggest me any with NYC ground clearance
@Anshuman - a quick question- Why does the scorpio get airborne so easy compared to the other cars? Any insights on this pls
+J o Ask Mahindra, I do not have words for that horrible suspension + chassis setup
+Anshuman Bishnoi So would you recommend an XUV 500/safari over a scorpio?
Good job bro.. as an suv enthusiast, i have never seen any other channel showing and testing the capabilities of domestic suv's as yours does. however, i wonder whether the suv's are kept in 4x4 mode? how much difference does it make?
Hell lot of difference. This was Scorpio before MLD: ua-cam.com/video/zGwZnEwtkm4/v-deo.html
Hi Anshuman and Team, :-I want's to know can this MLD be installed on rear wheel drive Scorpio as well...as this has nothing to do with the front axle..m i correct?
Hi Manish, It can be fitted to 2wd, it will make the car a lot more capable.
is the Hyundai creta available in 4*4 or AWD ?
Not in India.
Very nice & informative video.

Yes increased travel and articulation does help a lot in this Fortuner, while the Scorpio has poor suspension it just climbed because of MLD Autolocker at rear axle.
awesome videos Anshuman. i am planning to buy a 4*4. would you recommend Scorpio s10? or Safari?
+Ashutosh Sharma I wouldnt buy either of them
Very limited options in this price range.😫
Ashutosh Sharma have you considered the new Gurkha by force
No, but it is very rough around the edges. A scorpio or a duster category of SUV provide a good mix of comfort and ability...
Its a terrible car for the price, unless you need to go offroad everyday
nice video sir , what's the cost of installing MLD in these Scorpio
Around 30k
where are you all sir at which city
Gurgaon
this is the same track that was before also
I like ur channel for this things...
Hey man awsm videos...from where did you get the locker? And how much did it cost ?
great video sir..👍
good 4x4 guide
Nice..
Hey anshuman i have some queries and doubts to ask pls reply
+Dikshant korjani Yes, go ahead post your queries here
I am thinking about Installing MLD in my scorpio micro hybrid m hawk engine 2011 model is it worth it
And also thinking of changing the suspension to iron man should i. Will only change if it is worth it in Scorpio or should I buy that which is better
Yes it is a good addition, will make the car a lot more capable
I have not seen Ironman Suspension in a Scorpio, so cannot say if it will be good, on Fortuner it is excellent.
Jump was excellent
good
I like it😎😎
can u guys please bring into test the new mitsubishi pajero sport 2017
+Vivek Puthran Car still not launched in India
after watching d rest.. dat ironman is like huhh.. such a piece of cake.

try pajero sfx next time
The car was in the air @5:45
Yes they were
Sir review k baad thoda good and worse part bhi btaya kro na
Bhai why u show that Mahindra was imcapable to off roading
Where did I show that?
Whats this mld brother
MLD- Mechanically locking differential, a type of Auto locker.
Fortuner has 4 wheel drive thats why has an edge over other cars.
All cars are 4x4
what a jump!
Cars choro , spotter is a pro
Scorpio mast hai
what a nice vdo
Wonderful
mujhe aapkesath kam karna ho bosss
We do it for fun, this is not our profession, buy a 4x4 and join a local 4x4 club.
nice videos
