Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor while maintaining appropriate language for all ages, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself. - Розваги
Holy crap. I remember in the 90s it took like 15 seconds to transform the guy. Nowadays it's like half an hour. That thing is indeed a masterpiece.
shartimus here's a little tip for those paint scuffs and chips if you take tamiya paint code X-11 chrome silver and XF-19 sky grey and you mix those two together it's a perfect match for Megatron's paint color you have to mix the paint carefully only a little Chrome silver to add the sparkle and then apply with sponge applicator it worked for me if you do it properly you can't tell where the paint chips were. great review by the way I am loving this figure also that's why I bought two of them one to never transform and display the other one to beat the s*** out of and transform 50 million times because that's what they were intended to be transformed.

Well I learned that you can put a really thin layer of white on his bot mode faceplate to cover scuffs if you happen to accidentally rub some of that off in the tight transformation. But my problem is that his beast mode chest, the shiny metallic blue paint, seems to have little scuffs in it. Luckily it's really hard to see, but they're definitely there. That's basically all I'd need help with :)

There are three ways you can display this figure. 1: keep it in gun mode and hang it up. 2: display it with the rest of your figures. 3: do both. Buy 2 of them. I did that.

I hate to be "that guy" but the helmet is not a mind helmet, it's from an episode where Megatron makes a clone of Optimus Prime, he uses the helmet to control it. Starscream makes a similar clone of himself and uses a similar helmet. The episode is called "A Prime Problem" from Season 2. Also, I'm also fond of the Transformers with powers such as:
Skywarp's telepoting
Windcharger's magnetism
Mirage's invisibility
Hound's holograms
Trailbreaker's force fields

Awesome Megatron
Just received my Best Wei Jiang KO version of this figure and I'm soooo pleased with it. I missed out on the official release so I was so happy to be able to find a good KO. I really can't get over how amazing of a figure this guy is. It's the perfect representation of G1 Megatron, so much better than the MP-05!

All that panel seperation in gun mode tho ehh. I just bought an IT-01 instead for less than half. Bought some decepticon decals off the-bay and planning on pickin up the lcd heads. Gonna be pretty sick for alot less.

Now I can't speak Japanese, but I can tell those phrases have been lifted from the Takara 2005 re-release of Galvatron! The phrase translations are on Transformers-Wiki too.

Long time since you've done a video review of a Masterpiece Transformer. Pleased to see one.
I laughed at your story about batteries because I went through the same thing. It was $8 for one at some places. In the end, just went to Dollarama and got 5 of the batteries for $1.25!
Also, my Megs doesn't have the orange plug. Perhaps because I am in Canada they didn't put it on.
You can get lr44 batteries for cheap on amazon. Like $100 for $20 or less! (And, surprisingly, I've found they last longer for storage that store bought brands, which are a pain to find in stores usually! But all small Japanese elec toys take them!!!)

if you guys ever need quick, cheap LR44 or similar. Check your local Dollar Tree or 99cent store. They have electronic gadgets, toys, calculators, etc with button batteries and sell button battery packs. I kitbash and when I need quick cheap batteries and electronic lights, I check these stores out. But sometimes they don't have all button batteries but worth a try

I seen reviews of MP-36 G1 Megatron, and he is REALLY fiddly to transform back and forth from robot mode to gun mode and back! TakaraTomy needs to get to work on a Masterpiece G1 Megatron that does not transform at all. In other words, G1 fans can make the non-transformable Masterpiece G1 Megatron look like he is transforming and shrinking into his tiny-sized gun mode in stop motion videos. Makes sense, right?

Noice, I have always wondered why won't takara/hasbro make other Masterpiece Series out of their other lines.
Takara had one other masterpiece line. The Masterpiece Brave Series line was short lived and only featured two figures: King Exkaiser and Dragon Kaiser. The two figures could combine together to form a larger robot called Great Exkaiser.

Now that you know how to transform MP Megatron, you are pretty much qualified to deactivate bombs , I've heard that they are way easier than this in comparison
