They really need to get on this! Tony Baxter has said before that he'd come out of retirement to work on a refurb of this attraction. I'm not sure what they're waiting for considering that they still use Figment as their unofficial mascot for festivals and merchandise, it's ridiculous that they've let his ride basically go to crap. Inside Out is about emotions, not imagination, so it's totally irrelevant to the Imagination Pavilion. I would like to see a reboot of Journey Into Imagination with an updated Dream Finder and Figment, but only if Tony Baxter is the lead Imagineer.
Tony Baxter was not the designer of Yeti nor did he ever promise that. You are thinking of Joe Rohde. They are different people. Batxer has also recently come out of retirement to help with the Splash Mountain retheme.
@@lutherheggs451 You're confusing Tony Baxter with Joe Rhode. Both men have retired from the company, but Expedition Everest was Joe's project and he was the one that promised to one day fix the yeti. Tony Baxter retired before Joe left Disney for SpaceX, but if Tony can return for the reimagining of Splash Mountain, there's no reason he can't do the same for Journey Into Imagination. One of my fondest EPCOT memories from when I was a kid was that ride and having a meet and greet with Figment and Dreamfinder. My kids already know and love the original song, I want them to be able to experience what I experienced.
I wouldn't count on it. It will be the incredible hulk soon. Not really because it's east of the Mississippi but you get what I'm saying. It will end up some IP.

Both were cult classics, and no one asked for their 'Refurbishments'. A lot of people want either the rides to get more TLC by the parks, or just turn them back to their original state.
as someone who never got to experience the original ride (wasn’t born yet lol), i really hope they do something to improve journey into imagination! epcot is my favorite park, and i vividly remember loving the “purple dragon” when i went to disney world at age 5!❤️
That’s my daughters favorite ride since she was 2. Eventually she found a ride through on UA-cam of the original, and she agreed, the original was better than the one she loved.
My favorite part about the original that NO ONE talks about is that the ride was like 10 mins long and they took an on-ride picture at the end and you'd just see all the dads fast asleep from boredom in the picture 😂. I always loved that, even as a kid
I'd really love a "Quest for Dreamfinder" trackless attraction - busting through walls of the Academy Scientifica-Lucidus as Figment leads us on a quest to recover the heart of imagination and his best friend. The comics gave them a great setting to play with if they want.
With all the tech they have now, I think they could really revamp imagination into something spectacular (and this is coming from someone who experienced the original ride and LOVES the original ride).
Journey into Imagination with Dreamfinder remains my favorite Disney ride and it breaks my heart what they did to it. To me it's the essence of what Walt was about. What we all can do with our imagination when we let ourselves use it. It breaks my heart how much I think he would hate what they've done to his parks!

I was there and it was crickets because initially he said one and it was after a cruise giveaway, a resort stay giveaway, and a galactic star cruiser giveaway, so yeah it didn't seem like a big deal. But if you listen closely he says "to someone in this room? Are you guys crazy? To everyone in this room!" so everyone there is getting one and started clapping.
I would to see a return to the original, but if they won’t do that, then I think an adventure based on the Figment comic series would be fun. Gotta love young steampunk Dreamfinder!
Steampunk didn’t take off until after the 80s, but the Marvel Comics issues of Figment that came out in the 2000s featured a young steampunk version of Dreamfinder.
I think I’d want something more like the original Journey into Imagination. Restore all the track they covered up that shortened the ride experience, give everyone access to upstairs again and bring back the rainbow corridor. You know, the original ride had a lot of white sculpture pieces…just imagine today’s projection mapping utilized on something like that! I think they’re waiting till next year to announce anything because I seriously don’t think they’d start any sort of overhaul for the ride UNTIL AFTER they’ve gotten rid of the giant dirt pit in the middle of the park. I think capital spending will return in force in the next year, they certainly aren’t hurting for money any longer, pausing sales of annual passes the parks are SOOOOOOO crowded. Maybe they’ll at least have most of the dirt pit gone for the 40th anniversary of the park.
Given what they’ve done with avatar animatronics over in animal kingdom it’s really depressing thinking about just how much potential revamped dreamfinder and updated figment animatronics could have. they could go full on trippy with the lightning too. Would also like to see them move past Eric Idle too, it just hasn’t aged well at all
My theory is that since Figment's popularity has peaked in the last few years, Disney thinks that he is popular because of the current Journey Into Imagination With Figment attraction and not the original 1983 Journey Into Imagination. Now I can speak for pretty much everyone when I say that there is an extremely low number of people who prefer the current version over the 1983 version, like maybe even 0 people. It's just unbelievably dumb that Disney really thinks that the excuse of an attraction that is JIIWF is why Figment is who he is and why people like him so much. I mean come on, the ride was just a rushed fix after the disaster that was Journey Into YOUR Imagination. Also, how on Earth is the current ride going to be TWENTY YEARS OLD NEXT YEAR?! It's survived longer than Horizons, World of Motion, Spaceship Earth '94, the first Test Track, Universe of Energy, Listen to the Land, Soarin', and even the first Journey Into Imagination!
Disney is always going to abandon anything without a profitable IP attached to it these days. They’re trying to make their strategies more soulless you see.
While I would love a full revamp, I’d be happy with Disney spending 5-minutes to update the early 90’s computer animations of Figment. If only Disney knew of a studio (or two) that has the ability to produce theater-quality computer animation 🤔
I honestly believe the execs and the imagineers are locked in a stalemate. The Imagineers refuse to design anything without Figment, and the money guys refuse to greenlight anything WITH Figment. So they just leave it as is because at least it's something. Buuut no. I think the imagineers and all the other creative workers at Disney love Figment, but the people in charge have hated him since Eisner. As for what I'd replace it with, I'd love to see something new with the characters! Heck, even still have the same or similar storyline of going to the dreamport, but with all new effects and scenes. Though if they want to be lazy about it (and they usually do these days), honestly? Just clone Mystic Manor. It's different enough from the Mansion that it's very much its own thing, and has tons of imagination and magic put into it. With the characters and overall feel of the attraction, it already feels kind of like Imagination 2.0. Just replace Henry Mystic with Dreamfinder, Albert the monkey with Figment, and set it in the Dreamport instead of a manor. Bam there ya go.
Keep in mind, I was so disgusted with what they turned the original Journey into Imagination into that he stormed off the ride. And all I heard of him hating it came after the changes/destruction. What I wanna know is how anyone gave the replacement a green light. I've never had that explained Or heard any reasoning that made any sense. All I needed to do was freshen up the empty Kodak area , not destroy an amazing ride
I, as an old school Disney geek, have just given up on Disney altogether. There's no hope for them now. They've burned that bridge and it's okay. At least I have those fond memories. Moving on to Universal.
I miss the brief period in the 90s when Universal were the kings of themed entertainment and I'm excited for their potential rennaisance. I love Disney but movies were always my first love so after a terrible decade of screen-based rides finally giving way to new innovative coaster experiences, I'll be awaiting their new park and attractions with baited breath.
I really thing bringing back Figment and Dreamfinder in a new adventure would be the way to go. The first spark that comes to my imagination would be something with the theme of "Imagination Runs Wild," and could see the duo exploring the worlds created by many past creative minds (hint hint Jules Verne for example), which at the end of the ride can lead to it's play area where it encourages you to create your own worlds of imagination.) Or, it could instead explore the entirety of creative process, which would also mean, what happens when imagination gets the better of you; the duality of the mind. In this scenario it could show the balance that is needed in the creative process, but also, create a new character. Just as we all have the dark and light inside of us, so does Figment, and possibly create a more 'sinister' part of Figment (as the opposite of the playful purple dragon we love); when you hold back expressing your full self, it sometimes get's out of hand, and decides to run wild! Exploring the worlds of fluffy and whimsy and the worlds of dark and scary (when first separated, star in overly fluffy), with the duo chasing after the new creation in each set piece, ultimately leading to capture and the two either joining back as one, or working together to create a balanced creative world, which would have elements of both sides as the final rooms. Totally off the top of my head just now, so some thoughts might seem pretty jumbled, haha.
The original Figment would never skunk you. I miss him. He was filled with childlike wonder. Now he's an angsty teen cuz they got rid of Dreamfinder. I either want the original back or I've imagined a new version where figment leads three baby dragons through the original concepts of the ride.
Before the pandemic, when I last saw an Epcot roadmap in July of 2017. There was slated work for Journey into Imagination. It was a slated for FY 2022/2023 so we just need to wait and see.
I saw the original Journey into Imagination in 1985 and I absolutely loved it. I saw the current version in 2018 and my soul was crushed. My kid wasn't terribly impressed either. I would love to see it get a complete overhaul.
Years ago, Ron Schneider (Dreamfinder) shared his idea of a new Imagination ride with Defunctland. With inspiration from Toy Story Midway Mania, he believes guests could use a similar system to help Dreamfinder collect ideas for the Dreamport. I hope something like this can happen to make the ride more exciting and bring back Dreamfinder.
@@gremlinfinger5964 Drew Barrymore was the young girl in that movie, and being a hit, was a part of the televised grand opening of EPCOT with Danny Kay. ...it’s a pretty obscure connection, but... ...ok. Coincidentally, I was also born that year. Everyone and everything is turning 40. Yea!
honestly, bob chapek has been so obsessed with budget and money stuff I wouldn't be shocked if they got rid of journey into imagination all together. they would probably transform it into some movie based ride to bring in the money. especially since figment does take up a large piece of land. since D23 expo is more about business stuff this also makes sense for them to announce it there. hope this doesn't happen but with the route they are already on this seems the most predictable explanation.
if movie-based rides are done well, then there's no issue. The problem is that they seem to think the movie and characters is enough to slap onto a half-assed ride and call it good. I think Toy Story Land is an example. It's decent. But by no accounts amazing or ground-breaking. Despite the fact that there are literally a thousand ways to make something from the the Toy Story Universe jaw-dropping and immersive. I do think that most of the IP-based rides/lands in Japan look out of this world and I'm confused and sad about why we don't have that kind of creativity and passion at the other Disney Parks?? Avatar Flight of Passage was well done tho. And Rise of the Resistance. Some other rides belong on the honorable mention list too. But overall, its lacking. I don't know if movie-based rides are the real issue, or if its more of the budget cutting out all the worthwhile ideas and creativity.
I rode this ride today-I knew it was changed-it is so run-down and many parts of it are broken. I loved Figment as a kid, and the song was so catchy. I hope to find an older recording of it somewhere on here-I think it would be a great ride again if they brought the older version back
I would LOVE to see Journey Into Imagination revived with Figment and Dreamfinder using new tech! I CANNOT BELIEVE with Tony Baxter’s offer to come back they didn’t just immediately green light the whole thing! 😱 it’s a tragedy that they destroyed the ride the way they did! That turntable was Disney Show Magic at it’s finest!!! 😢
I think it would be fun to have Journey into imagination be half animatronic and half projection with a frequent change out of the projection elements so no body knows what it will show. Really let the interns go nuts with the projections. OR bang it up a notch and have some widgets in the line changing out the projection on the ride (or at least look like they do)
Wow, good timing, I just finished your D23 livestream! I'm incredibly disappointed that there's no news on Imagination. Do they really think this 30 year old downgrade to the original is worth keeping around? Restoring it to the original would be an improvement all around. I really doubt there's anyone who'd prefer the current version to the original, even if they haven't experienced the original.
I know you probably already have a plethora of video ideas out there I would be very interested to see your hypothetical take if Disney was to make a ride around the animated series Gargoyles!
I thought the comic series with dream finder and figment was really well done a few years ago. They should make a show like that and then redo journey to match it. Thanks for the video.
I love Josh D’Amaro's optimism and joy about announcing the new things that are happening at the Disney Parks.💖 But sadly when it came to him giving away an Amazon Alexa Device; I guess while many felt it was really nice to have in hotel rooms because it lets you make park reservations and stuff like that. But, sadly many may have thought it was too cheesy and overly corporate for their own homes.
I haven't seen the current iteration of Journey into Imagination, but I remember LOVING the original, although I don't really remember the original now...just that I loved it at the time. XD;
Do you really think they care about the fans at this point??? the share holders are the only ones they care about pleasing... Answer to question 1: Probably never, unfortunately. Answer to question 2: I would kill to have the original, or an updated remake of the original concept, back. I absolutely adored Dreamfinder and Figment. That original version was my late, and super beloved, grandfather's favorite ride, period.
I have never been to Walt Disney World, so never got to see the original Journey into Imagination, but saw a video talking about its history about 4ish years ago (Might have been Defunctland), and I fell in love with it. So I'd like to see it back, and revamped so I have an opportunity to experience it someday. As an 80's kid I know I would have loved it, but I grew up in California, so we went to Disneyland. Also, I want the rainbow tunnel back. That's also something I'd love to experience.
You missed on piece of news -- Michael Eisner is back with Disney! - The D23 Destination event was presented by Michael Eisner's TOPPS. - In a clever hairpin turn, in 2007, Michael Eisner bought the company TOPPS - which then Disney gave him the ability to be intertwined with official Disney business, co-branding all Disney characters, movies, and vintage artwork. This also includes Disney +
I want them to do what Armchair Imagineering said and have them do a Phineas and Ferb version of Journey into Imagination, where the boys help Figment search for Dreamfinder, but I know they probably won’t do that. I do expect them to announce something for the pavilion in the near future.
I mean my ideal version would have no outside IP put in but that would be the absolute most awesome way to do it, hands down. But that being said, I feel like unfortunately Phineas & Ferb is a little old for them to throw it into a ride now.
I feel like under the Chapek regime, any time we have an expectation or predicting something cool, whatever actually happens will be a let down bc of $$$. Though Fantasmic is cool it desperately needed an overhaul, so thats exciting.
I hope that with everything that's been going on that they release new information on the Journey into Imagination in 2022. I hope that since Marvel picked up the Dream Finder and Figment as a limited run series that they lean into that a little and do a new adventure with them. I am with you Dallin, I hope they don't go with "Inside Out"...Expand on Figment!!
it's been so long since the original ride .... i am not even sure if i cared if they closed down the entire pavilion for a bit to redo it the right way. Personally I am not sure I'd bring back the original in that sense but a modern version of it (i guess the phrasing matters for my answer) ... to bring back not only the original SPIRIT of the ride but a modern version (i did here it had to do with some FL building codes on the second floor as to why it was closed) of Imageworks ... I loved that entire pavilion as a kid
Would love a remastered version where you become an honorary dream finder where you learn about the magic of imagination the power of one little spark an omage to the imagineers
I'm a Horizons, World of Motion, hydrolaters at the Living Seas, universe of energy( before elen) kid. Also living with the land with food rocks and kitchen cabaret. I loved the original journey into imagination. Knowing the rainbow tunnel is there along with the rest of the pavilion is so sad. I've given up on Disney I'm becoming a Universal kid now.
I'm with you man. I loved Disney growing up but they've gone to far. I have zero desire to ever return. On the plus side I'm wicked excited for epic universe!
The original Journey Into Imagination was amazing!! Sadly, I don't see them just bringing that version back. (I wish) Even though Dream Finder is still beloved by many fans. I'm late in commenting on this but after the whole Figment popcorn bucket craze, perhaps that will help Disney realize it is worth putting some love toward the ride. I'm hoping and dreaming right along side you.
I don't think they have any idea what to do with Imagination. With their new World Celebration category, I am not sure how they can make it feel cohesive, but then again they don't seem to care about that anymore! I think the only think they could do to both keep it modern and also keep fans happy is to to a take on the old version with Dreamfinder and make cast someone like Zach Galifianakis as Dream Finder and incorporate something more internet in it.
Just imagine the sheer gravitas of an announcement like that. What if they refurbed Journey into Imagination and actually did it right, brought back The Dreamfinder and his whimsical Dream Collecting Machine, and had a totally cheeky announcement video in the same fashion as when they brought back Main Street Electrical Parade. I'm no businessman but it just seems to pay for itself, because the uber-fans will have all their minds blown and go nuts, causing a shockwave outward to the casual Disney vacationer who will just sorta put 2 and 2 together and hear that this old ride at EPCOT is getting redone and will be amazing, somehow. More Figment merch would fly off the shelf than ever before. It just makes sense, ugghhh, it's just so frustrating how Disney has ramped up chasing after the almighty dollar these days, yet they leave so much money on the table by turning their backs on simple solutions such as this.
Journey into imagination from day one always had the potential to be a mainstay for Epcot. Like Epcot’s haunted mansion or pirates of the Caribbean, but now it’s a shell of its former self and needs a modern take more then anything else within Epcot imo.
So I talked to the guys at the Disney tech booth and they said they work just like the classic magic bands just with the new interactivity. That being said, the lights and interactivity are rechargeable, but if it dies all the basic features like tickets, room charge and rooms key will all still work
I genuinely think after they ended up scraping/shelving nearly half of their announced and unannounced Epcot projects after that massive presentation in 2019(?), Disney might be going towards the Universal side of things where they just don’t say much of anything about projects until they’re well under way, a la Velocicoaster being a ‘churro stand’ for like two years. I mean heck, they didn’t even bother waiting what, a week until Destination D to announce Toontown’s remodel which could’ve been some fun news to hear live. So perhaps there are plans in the works, we just won’t hear anything about them until like a month before the ride is shut down and we think it’s closed for good.
There is literally no universe where they would just reopen a 40 year old outdated attraction....Although it is hilarious when people who live in a Fantasyland they say "Walt" would be spinning in his grave about certain things, meanwhile in reality being as he literally said "Disney would never be finished and constantly changing" 100% of the rides would have probably been changed a couple times over if he hadn't died.
I would love for you to do a video on that where’s perry thing that you could do in the Epcot world showcase. In this thing, you’d go around the world showcase looking for dr doofenshmirtz and while doing that, you could interact with little things here and there all while being a secret agent
Hey look, Destination D took a page out of E3's book: announce a lot of little things that no one's really excited for while providing no real update on the bigger projects! Also Disney, DON'T YOU DARE ABANDON MY SWEET LITTLE DRAGON BOI!
I love journey into imagination, but with all the renovation in Epcot, it’s going to look even more dated than it already does. It would really benefit from some more animated parts and updated animatronics. For example, when you go through Figment’s upside down house, it’s an extremely static scene and would look so much better with some moving parts. And in the sight lab, I think it would be so cool to have some interactive mirrors that have figment appear, the same way the mirrors in Haunted Mansion work with the ghosts
I've had the pretty out there idea Bandai-Namco-sponsored revamp of Journey into Imagination I'm my mind, which would be pretty much a revival of the style the OG JiI (e.g. return of Dreamfinder and Figment's initial characterization) with the addition of Klonoa.
What if, and hear me out, they combined all 3 versions of the ride to make a completely new ride that celebrates the "history of imagination," as the ride could be called. I know that the 2 nd version wasn't that great, but there could be some things worth salvaging in it. As the ride grows older, this new version could bring both nostalgia to th owe who remember the older rides as well as introduce the earlier concepts to a new generation who weren't around to experience the classics.
I came back here to say that they may still be planning it. My Mom has told me that it takes some years or more before they announce something. This may be one of them
My question is, can we turn off Alexa in our rooms? It's kind of creepy. There's a reason why I don't own one. As for Journey into Imagination, I have a bad feeling that they're just going to let it die. I hope I'm wrong and they don't either demolish or repurpose the area into a new theme/characters. We've just seen it too much in EPCOT, where past attractions have just been used as character meet and greets. I just don't feel like Disney cares and since they've bought so many IPs/they've made new movies that they can easily replace it.
Figment is still really popular, though, and they clearly know it. There’s always Figment merch about, and he was one of the Fab 50 statues, which shows they know he has fans. I think (and hope) they will not banish Figment from the park.
I'm gonna say Inside Out crossover with Figment and Dreamfinder. Redecorate the ride vehicles to look like the Thought Train in Inside Out. Then Classic Mischievous Figment from the current version going around and causing well, you know, Mischief. Then Dreamfinder comes along in his classic style and on the Dream machine, and helping the emotions contain what Figment has done and helping to stop Figment. I don't have any ideas for a ride Finale but I'll get there sooner or later.
They will probably announce a new JII when they realize that the Play Pavilion and Galactic Starcruiser aren't making money (not to be overly negative - I just don't see them working out). They'll try to focus attention away by announcing updates people have wanted for awhile. In terms of what to replace it with... It will be in World Celebration, so maybe "Celebrate Imagination with Figment?"
Disney hasn’t given up on journey into imagination It’s bob paycheck that’s always replacing lots of classic attractions And replacing them with intellectual properties
I feel like it would make a decent amount of money to redo Journey Into Your Imagination. Like so many fans will flock to Epcot no joke it would be a Disney Parks migration. GET ON IS DISNEY!
i hope you know that the title of this video alone scared me half to death and if anything ever happens to that ride if they have the audacity to REPLACE IT with something based on some new property... mr chapek will be hearing from me
The current climate with the CEO and executives doesn't seem to make this a great time to introduce a new project like this. I have real concerns with where the company and the parks are headed right now.
Disney really needs to bring the Na'vi to Pandora with this larger than life thing . You're supposed to be visiting their planet and theres none of them in sight. lol
They need to take Mystic Manor from Hong Kong Disneyland and re-skin it (ala Radiator Springs Racers) to Journey Into Imagination. Henry Mystic becomes the Dreamfinder and the monkey becomes Figment.

My favorite part about the original that NO ONE talks about is that the ride was like 10 mins long and they took an on-ride picture at the end and you'd just see all the dads fast asleep from boredom in the picture 😂. I always loved that, even as a kid
Same
I'd really love a "Quest for Dreamfinder" trackless attraction - busting through walls of the Academy Scientifica-Lucidus as Figment leads us on a quest to recover the heart of imagination and his best friend.

I'm sure Imagineers have their plans, but I think it's pretty far down the list of priorities for Disney executives right now.
Also, Josh D'amaro looks like an Old Navy model
“We’re giving away a disney-themed Alexa!”
*🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗*
A single one
It's Disney, they can do an Oprah and giveaway everyone in the room an Alexa
@@claudiobizama5603 You don't get an Alexa, you don't get an Alexa! Only one person somewhere here gets an Alexa!
That would be so cool
Part 2 ended on a cliffhanger. Really wish they could finish the Marvel run.
was steampunk even popular in the 80s?
Would also like to see them move past Eric Idle too, it just hasn’t aged well at all
Silence… that audience’s reaction was hilariously priceless!😳
Perfect!
I also just thought of how the Imagination Institute has been having an 24/7 open house for two decades. 😂
If they brought back Dreamfinder, I would go to audition for the walk-around in a heartbeat!
Epcot is turning 40 in 2022. Coincidently, ET The Extraterrestrial is on the same year as the opening of Walt Disney World’s Epcot in 1982.
I don't understand the connection.
Yea!
I get it now. I'm an 82 too
Epcot really needs a better plan after all the budget cuts. I have little hope for the future of the park at this point
I’ll take it one step further. I have little hope for the future of WDW as a whole at this point.
honestly, bob chapek has been so obsessed with budget and money stuff I wouldn't be shocked if they got rid of journey into imagination all together. they would probably transform it into some movie based ride to bring in the money. especially since figment does take up a large piece of land. since D23 expo is more about business stuff this also makes sense for them to announce it there. hope this doesn't happen but with the route they are already on this seems the most predictable explanation.
if movie-based rides are done well, then there's no issue.
I love Figment- may he always be popular!
As for the Alexa thing I really don’t want it in my house. Or hotel room…. Just another reason to not stay at a Disney owned property.
Alternate title: “Has Disney Given Up?”
Dreamfinder will return and Imagination will be made great again in the post-Cheapek era. If it never changed it would still be beloved by fans.
I haven't seen the current iteration of Journey into Imagination, but I remember LOVING the original, although I don't really remember the original now...just that I loved it at the time. XD;
Figment and the Disco Yeti are forever stuck in animatrontic purgatory
Do you really think they care about the fans at this point??? the share holders are the only ones they care about pleasing...
Answer to question 1: Probably never, unfortunately.
Answer to question 2: I would kill to have the original, or an updated remake of the original concept, back. I absolutely adored Dreamfinder and Figment. That original version was my late, and super beloved, grandfather's favorite ride, period.
A lot of true Disney fans own Disney stock. As fan approval has gone down, so has the stock price.
Love the frequency of these videos!
The Figment graphic novels are freaking right there waiting
They gave one to everyone in the room, not just one person, that makes it even funnier 😂
So I talked to the guys at the Disney tech booth and they said they work just like the classic magic bands just with the new interactivity. That being said, the lights and interactivity are rechargeable, but if it dies all the basic features like tickets, room charge and rooms key will all still work
Reminds me of those light up buttons they had in 2000
I genuinely think after they ended up scraping/shelving nearly half of their announced and unannounced Epcot projects after that massive presentation in 2019(?), Disney might be going towards the Universal side of things where they just don’t say much of anything about projects until they’re well under way, a la Velocicoaster being a ‘churro stand’ for like two years.
I think they should restore and remaster the original Journey Into Imagination at New Epcot.
When he said "getting my hopes up for nothing! Thats what I do" I felt that in my soul
for all we know, they'll probably announce an update on a random Tuesday. IF they ever do plan to update/change Figment
I would love for you to do a video on that where’s perry thing that you could do in the Epcot world showcase. In this thing, you’d go around the world showcase looking for dr doofenshmirtz and while doing that, you could interact with little things here and there all while being a secret agent
"all inclusive like you're on a cruise" ... unless you want to do anything when said cruise docks, then you need to pay up to do everything
I think if anything is happing to Figment in the near future, it will be announced at d23 expo next year.
The end of the video though 🥺
Me too, Dallin. Me too 😔
Hey, in that image of the rolling hills of toontown you can see "WDI" in purple
Watch around 8:24 and a little after it looks like something around his chest is trying to escape the inside of figments sweater
The Alexa giveaway gave me Jeb Bush "Please clap" energy
I've had the pretty out there idea Bandai-Namco-sponsored revamp of Journey into Imagination I'm my mind, which would be pretty much a revival of the style the OG JiI (e.g. return of Dreamfinder and Figment's initial characterization) with the addition of Klonoa.
I use your magic candle company code at least once a month, please don’t ever get rid of it🤣
I just went on it this weekend. Boy was it rough.
Loved that intro, *PING* DONG *BING*
VR Light Sabers owns the Disney Star Wars mini game.
I'm still wondering if Bob chapek showed up, how many people would've booed him?
EDIT: it auto corrected to cheap pack!!!
It’s best not to think to much going to these events. Your just going to get your hopes up.
Love that you thought they would do something "for the fans and not the shareholders" LOL
To be fair the excitement did get a little louder when he said "not just one person, but everyone in this room"
The Dreamcatcher that was in MouseGear IS the one that was in the attraction. One of them, anyway.
I'm not sure if they didn't care or if it was a delayed reaction and they were like "Oh shoot we were supposed to cheer and clap."
Disney: Don't you want free stuff..........no we want you to do something with figment.
I honestly think they are afraid to touch figment. He has such a massive following and I think they are terrified of it.
Disney hasn’t given up on journey into imagination
It’s bob paycheck that’s always replacing lots of classic attractions
And replacing them with intellectual properties
Bob Paycheck 😂 Simple yet devastating.
Thanks
Now if Street party's do come back then it's really going to get busy. And I will still enjoy it.
Yes. Now to overthrow Disney. RISE UP!
I feel like it would make a decent amount of money to redo Journey Into Your Imagination. Like so many fans will flock to Epcot no joke it would be a Disney Parks migration. GET ON IS DISNEY!
i hope you know that the title of this video alone scared me half to death and if anything ever happens to that ride if they have the audacity to REPLACE IT with something based on some new property... mr chapek will be hearing from me
I’m going to have fricking nightmares because of that music at the start of the Vid-
The current climate with the CEO and executives doesn't seem to make this a great time to introduce a new project like this. I have real concerns with where the company and the parks are headed right now.
Last time I rode this a few months ago, half the rooms had obvious technical failures. They clearly don't care about this at all.
Disney really needs to bring the Na'vi to Pandora with this larger than life thing . You're supposed to be visiting their planet and theres none of them in sight. lol
Parades and cavalcades both running? Is anyone gonna be to get through the middle of the streets? XD
They need to take Mystic Manor from Hong Kong Disneyland and re-skin it (ala Radiator Springs Racers) to Journey Into Imagination. Henry Mystic becomes the Dreamfinder and the monkey becomes Figment.
