Extraction seems like it’s near impossible. The amount of shriekers is insane. Love this mission due to how insane the spawn rates are. Supercolony for sure.
It is VERY difficult, but there are some methods that make it possible. The shriekers need a clear escape route to do their dive. There are a couple of spots around extract that you can lay down in where you can shoot them but they can't dive you. Also, I found, when on last drill, if 3 can hold the drill, you can call in extract the second it appears, before all the shriekers get there. Have like 4 seconds, but is possible. Hardest part is timing when to ditch the group and run for extract.
@@lukemehalick370 I was in shock the first time I witnessed 100 Shriekers come flying out of one of those giant holes in the ground. My scorcher couldn’t shoot fast enough.
Stay down near the lip of the cliff. Just watch your flanks.
I believe gas is safe to touch the drill, but it's hard to tell.
It’s not. The gas deals corrosive damage so it eats away at it pretty fast.
@J0hnnyonthespot but normally, something with the gas dot has some effect on it, but the drill never has it. Mechs are immune too.

The incendiary breaker is always good for this mission especially against shriekers, or if you don’t got it see if you can use the 223 Variant which is on the first Warbond.
I tried it with a EAT, Napalm, Tesla tower and autocannon sentry with stun grenades solo.
This mission also got RNG, I had 3 bile titans spawn after starting the drill in the last run. Thankfully no spewers.
EMS strikes and stun grenades are crucial for this mission. @takibo has a great video on dealing with this mission as well. Keep up the great work @joozies

Arc thrower and Tesla tower has the ability to ignore turrets including the Drill. I never see it do damage to it. Might support against the aerial mob later too
Yea one guy had the Tesla in the group. The only problem was placement, sometime it was too close to us

Are you sure? I swear I've seen the tower one tap the drill to insta kill it but maybe something else took it out.
@@Noobish_Camper55 Far as I know. Shooting at the tower using Arc Thrower had no trouble. I can double check

Too many shriekers...
The problem is when they start spawning right under the drill… If it’s around, hard but possible, but man… Under the drill is ridiculous. I’ve being trying for days, using the same build and we keep loosing. Like I’m starting to feel very frustrated with the game. This mission makes no sense and is becoming a real waste of time.
Did this mission and failed, quit and verified files. Did it again and failed. You're supposed to extract with an extra dark fluid pack. Dumb
