Dr. Shreeram Chauliya is really a wise analyst and scholar regarding international relation. The statement that China wants US's investment and technology for its own growth but doesn't like other Asian countries to do the same and like to become hegemon in Asia shows China's ill intention to compromise sovereignty of other countries. Keep moving and progressing other Asian countries with your national interest and keep your sovereignty infact..!!!
Good study. If India and the US come together against China's treacherous expansionism, it might hurt India more than the US. The world knows that the Chinese economy is way ahead of not only India but also the US. This is also known to the entire globe that China can't and hence won't harm the US, but would certainly go to the extent of encroaching upon Indian territory.
Ideally India should have alliance with US to protect her territorial integrity considering large power gap between India and China. However, India is in dilemma because alliance with US could mean abiding the US's whims and fancies while compromising our strategic autonomy. Currently India is gauging China, to what extent China will go to contain India's growth so that it prevent catching up of India with China. Theoretically if china pursue crude zero sum policy then it will be more harder for India to maintain its partnership with US limited. Rather we will have to take bitter pill to become full fledge ally with US.
India needs to focus on whats best for India and not whats best for other countries - India is fully able to stand alone an a leader without relying on others but so far countries that I feel support India is Russia (100%), Israel, UAE and France
Indian economy is miniscule in comparison with China's economy size. Concentrate on opening up the country and get rid of stupid labour laws. India is nowhere near China at this point and we should accept the fact and improve.
