The first (and only) time I built a PC I found and used a Newegg coupon glitch that let me double count the Black Friday discount to 80% on my CPU, Ram, and SSD. Then work gave me a $1000 Amazon bonus which I used half for a 4070 (luckily it fell under the “Computer Components” buying guidelines). 12600K, 4070, can comfortably 1440 and even 4K game on most games I play. @ElijahsLab That build looks really good! Its low cost with good performance, but that Graphics card was a steal. About the memory, your right, 3600 Speed memory would be better for the CPU. I am not sure of the difference between this Gen and the earlier Ryzen processors, but memory speed was a big deal for the infinity fabric. This is what I would do, you won't have xmp or whatever the profile is for 3600 obviously, and overclocking to 3600 could be tedious. Try digging into the specific chip type used with those sticks. Then, look up 3600 with that specific chip. Try plugging in the memory timings for those sticks. Voltage will vary depending on the chip quality and the heatsink cooling capacity.

Hey Elijah I have a 2070 Super, Ryzen 7 3700x, B450 Tomahawk max, 16gb ram. VG27AQL1A 27 inch monitor 170hz running 1440p. I have fiber telus internet ethernet 800mb dl/ 800mb up. I only play Valorant and want to stream. My valorant game is really delay/choppy/feels heavy and bullets shoot really slow. Is my PC parts not good enough to play valorant at 1440p? Do i need to upgrade some parts? how do i know which part to upgrade? I cant figure out my PC and need help. Thanks
Get additional 16GB RAM. For offstream 16GB is perfectly fine, but for streaming 32 is often recommend. NOTE: Be sure it's identical unit for 100% compatibility. IF uncertain, you can get 2x16 3200CL16 kit from Silicon Power for something like 44$ .
I built a system with those specs just recently and it was even running Cyberpunk fine, Valorant is nowhere near as demanding so something strange is going on. Here are a few things to check - Do you have 2 separate ram sticks? You need 2 so the cpu runs in dual channel - Is XMP enabled on the ram? 3200 speed is ok, but ideally you want 3600 - You didn't mention your hard drive, you have a good NVMe drive? Test the speed on the drive - What PSU are you using? Do you have 2 separate PCI cables connecting to the graphics card? Don't use the daisy chain on a single cable - Install the latest AMD chipset drivers - Use DDU and then install the latest Nvidia gpu drivers - Use a performance overlay like MSI Afterburner to see what is maxing out when you play, if your cpu is hitting 100% then that is your problem, or if your ram is being fully used, gpu at 100% is normal and what you should be seeing - What is the temperate on your CPU? If it is getting up to 90c+ then your cooler has a problem and your cpu is throttling
Elijah, have you used that wifi/BT card before? It looks like the same card from Ali that I have tried using but am dropping. For me it seems to work well enough under Windows 10, but Windows 11 seems to install a driver for that card's chipset that is flakey and drops/refuses connection in annoying ways. I can sometimes rollback the driver and get it working again but it's a pain. Sticking with the USB wifi adapter for cheap wifi for now.

just the processor is 188.00 in the uk unreal
amazing video elijah keep it up cant wait to see qhat 2025 has in store for you
10/10 for that price
Damn it's a great starter pc with the potential to upgrade down the line. It's clean and white parts usually run you more. AMD is great for budget builds and great performance. 8/10🔥🔥🔥
People from my experience, are more apt to buy an i7 and a gtx or rtx rather than an and. Or, I custom made them a budget one. And they wanted an i7 6700 rather than an i5 9th
I lost track of the aliexpress parts LOL
Looks nice, but I would want some better brands, especially on the memory.
Yeah, as I mentioned it was probably the worst part lol.
the only other ali part was the pci wfi card oh and I guess the cable extensions
@ Actually, you could probably buy 2 ram kits for the price of a retail name brand, so that works too LOL
Just have extra
That build in AU would cost 4 times that, despite exchange rates showing it should only be around $900
i was looking around on the same site he grabbed the 3080 and i found something better a 3090 not only is it better it has more vram at 24gb and u can game at 1440p or even 4k too
Gotta start adding marvel rivals in these benchmarks
Hey Elijah
I have a 2070 Super, Ryzen 7 3700x, B450 Tomahawk max, 16gb ram.
NOTE:
Be sure it's identical unit for 100% compatibility.
IF uncertain, you can get 2x16 3200CL16 kit from Silicon Power for something like 44$ .
I built a system with those specs just recently and it was even running Cyberpunk fine, Valorant is nowhere near as demanding so something strange is going on.
Here are a few things to check
- Do you have 2 separate ram sticks? You need 2 so the cpu runs in dual channel
- Is XMP enabled on the ram? 3200 speed is ok, but ideally you want 3600
- You didn't mention your hard drive, you have a good NVMe drive? Test the speed on the drive
- What PSU are you using? Do you have 2 separate PCI cables connecting to the graphics card? Don't use the daisy chain on a single cable
- Install the latest AMD chipset drivers
- Use DDU and then install the latest Nvidia gpu drivers
- Use a performance overlay like MSI Afterburner to see what is maxing out when you play, if your cpu is hitting 100% then that is your problem, or if your ram is being fully used, gpu at 100% is normal and what you should be seeing
- What is the temperate on your CPU? If it is getting up to 90c+ then your cooler has a problem and your cpu is throttling
check if you have drivers installed and XMP/EXPO enabled
RTX 2080 and up still does fine at 1440P for a lot less that being said if you can afford the 3080 go for it.
That's Insane I paid $429.28 for my Dual Fan RTX 3080 Used GPU back in 2023.
your videos rock dude you should add some outro music. or theme music!
650 w psu for rtx 3080 how is that possible?
5600x 65w and the 3080 350w, he’s definitely getting pretty close to the max of that psu but should still be fine
recommend a better cpu maybe a r7 5800x but 7 or 8/10
that case for 45$ NEW is crazy
hey Elijah, what kind of home depot boxes do you use? i know you said it in a video but for the life of me I can't find which one it was
How do I never find these deals u get?
If it was me building this would probably be over $900
WHAT
600$
Bruh it would be like 700€ even 800€ for the rtx card
where do you live, iceland? you can easily find a 3080 for 300-400 euros
is it worth to buy a White Strix RTX 3090 instead? or is it better? I mean I bought a RTX 3090 $236.99 so I don't know if I just wasted my money cuz I just started learning about pcs
Amazing build. You never fail making em look good :^) also 9:27 "shit on kids" lmfao
Thank you 🙂
can i use a b450M for this build? pls respond
yes but you need to update the bios
@ I'm kinda a rookie PC builder lol so idk what that, means can you tell me
Clicked the link, 3080 $415. There goes the budget.
