Manish Pandey has been given so many chances, He is not good enough. Shubman Gill should be groomed for next world cup same goes for prithvi shaw. I don't see Rohit nor dhavan lasting until next word cup. Rohit is 33 and dhavan is 34. both would be same age as dhoni.

Yes not enough people get the opportunity here in Jamaica. You have to be from a certain area and play for certain clubs. The better talents out of high schook tend to come from the country areas but with no support and the traditional scouts picking from the "Town" schools, the good talents go to waste. The system need fixing before the cricket and players can get better

For the next 1 year please stick to players . No more chopping and changing. And kohli shd now bat at no 4 to provide stability. With MS gone u need stability from kohli , dhawan and Rohit. Play Shubhman gill at no 3. Manish pandey/Iyer at 5 , Pant at 6 regularly.
Followed by Pandya/Shankar , Jadeja/shreyas gopal , Kuldeep/chahal , Shami/Bhuvi , Bumrah/Saini. Cant play kuldeep , chahal together if shami and bumrah are also playing. World order right now is to have max no of allrounders and not too many specialized bowlers in one day team.
Give both Manish Pandey and Iyer atleast 20 odis in next one year . So that u have one more middle order player ready if one of them looses form. Also play Mayank Agarwal regularly as a backup opener along with KL Rahul and rotate between Rahul , Dhawan , Rohit and Mayank. No point filling middle order with Rahul coz he will take the opener slot when dhawan is gone.

Dhoni a one of the best wicket keepers of all time. Only other keeper who is close to his skill level in India is Dinesh Karthik. Pant needs to go a long to replace Dhoni as a keeper. If he doesn't perform consistently with bat, it'll be very hard for him to stay in the squad.

I agree to you at some extent but in my opinion pant is a better option at no. 4 coz no. 4 should be a player who can build partnership and can score some big shots too. I know pant is not good in making partnership but he is 21 and he can learn it from other more experienced players and by playing more test match and ODIs
