@@JonathanRollinssthlm305another song I don't think you have react to, even though you said that you have, is "En dag" with Tommy Nilsson. Off course I could be wrong, but I can't find that reacton. It's a very good song and I don't want you to miss it. 😅
The storyline is that she found out that her boyfriend had been unfaithful because the other girl called her on the phone and told her about it. Before she knew about his "fluff on the side", she consented to going on a trip (probably by car) out to the countryside with him. The way the story is told, it seems to start with her confronting him with the new information when he arrives to pick her up for that trip. The next part is only in her head - she doesn't tell him about it beforehand. She agrees to go with him, because she promised earlier that she would and she's going to give him some kisses, but she won't be serious. It does not say whether or not she's setting him up to be dumped. That's for the listener to decide, I guess.
Like a lot of other songs from the 50’s and 60’s this is not an original song but a cover version of Everybody’s somebody’s fool by American artist Connie Francis. It’s been covered and translated to many languages like danish and Italian. It’s a straight up classic though and your next reaction’s was a huge hit back in the day so you’ve got a good streak running. Keep up the good work!
I suggest that you listen to Siv Malmkvists "sommarprat" i SR. Not for a reacton, but for yourself. She have such an interesting life history that she tells us about.
The original is quite good too, Connie Francis - Everybody's Somebody's Fool Keep it up, you are spreading positive energy everytime and that is what it's all about :)
Takida!!!🤩 Curly Sue is about the group’s singer, Robert’s wife (at the time?) What a voice he has! It’s the same singer in Stiftelsen but then he sings in Swedish! 🤩 Looking forward to hearing your reaction!
The reason you're getting an American feel to it is because it's a cover. Connie Francis sings the original which is called Everybody's Somebody's Fool.
From the same record, check out a song by Olle Adolphson that you reacted to earlier, Balladen om det stora slagsmålet på Tegelbacken. Or why not another song by Olle Adolphson, Sängen, to get the opposite perspective of Tunna skivor, and it's also connected to Greek mythology.
Since Siw is from Landskrona how about hopping a few miles to Helsingborg and Brandsta City Släckers, some HOT firefighters singing in swedish ish or rather in skånska and take their Kom och ta mig song from mello. Or any other song you find with them.
Fun fact: Siw was the first swede to enter Billboard 1964!

Björn Skifs "Håll mitt hjärta"....
I swear I thought I did this one. It's been requested so much. I guess I missed it. I'll have to get on it!

I think tunna skivor means she is going to keep him at some distance, not letting him getting full acces to her emotions and engagemant.
Thanks!

Gangster Siw 😎🔪
The Ark - One of us is Gonna die Young
Siw is as classic as you get in Sweden! They don't do that kind of stars anymore. And still going strong at the age of 86, that is pretty amazing.

Actually the song has two raises.
Hej!
Much better than Connie Francis version...

Btw it would be a lot of fun if you'd do like a special where you react to the eurovision song contest contestants. Just a thought.
I think so too! 👍
