We live by the Wisconsin river. I’m 13. In summer time I go out and look for arrowheads. I have found 3 Indian axes, 4 Indian clubs, hundreds of shards of pottery, 6 full or almost full pots/bowls. Over 150 arrowheads, and about 50 spear points
I live in Northern Kentucky and spent about 2 hours today searching a tilled field and creek bed. I found nothing today but I know that they are there!
Thanks for the informative video. I live in the S.E. of the land with many lakes. My most memorable hikes are always along creeks or streams. I'm going to start paying more attention to the ground I'm walking on.
I wish I’d known as a kid growing up at the Catawba River to look. As most people we didn’t learn in school how massive amount of Native Americans were here
@@dhammiam you kidding me, living in Wisconsin we got the upper Mississippi Valley, being Ojibwe I gotta find me an arrowhead sometime! Thanks for the video friend
Carrie Bowsher it is addicting. I need to make more time for searching for sure. Good luck to you. I haven’t found any geodes yet. Thanks for commenting and come back let me know what else you find.
Im from a location in Wisconsin. My family owns a creek and there is an old timer who has a collection of 2000 arrow heads. He picked them out of his plowed fields. The area I live was a winter camp for Natives. I am going down to the creek this spring.
Chad Klaren when you know that you’ve found artifacts at a location or nearby, it makes it that much more exciting to hunt. I found a knife blade the other day right near where I started this video at my tiki bar. I posted it on Facebook and after a couple comments that it looked “natural” I took it down. Definitely not rock found near here and was a uniface and freshly broken probably by my truck tire
I do love my place. It’s like having a little piece of heaven and the artifacts are a gift from the people before me. Thank you for commenting. Have an awesome day Sir
Thank you. This was one of my early video and I love artifacts and history so I started a “Hamm History” channel. Wish I could just put all content here (still learning) I’ll check out your channel. Have a great day
E Reynoldful finding little pieces of the past and the excitement of the search is hard to explain to some people. Sounds like you know exactly how it is
We should get up and go hunting for points sometime. I've got family in NC, but down here there's a lot of fossils, sharks teeth, dino bones and of course points. Got a huge spearhead yesterday but the point was broken from a pressure fracture. Keep making videos. I wanna see what you find.
Great! Let me know if you find anything and post a video if you’d like. It’s a great way to get away and enjoy nature and uncover some historical mementos
At my dads I live on a farm and there’s a creek and we believe Indians used to be there because we have found multiple arrowheads I have yet to go into the creek and go all the way around the farm and I don’t think anyone has been in the creek in at least 20-30 years any tips of my first time exploring the creek and looking for arrowheads since we have found some on land
Get some good water boots. Muck boots work well. I like going when it’s been dry out for a few days. Less running water. That’s the opposite than on land. The different color and shape of the points should stand out. Good luck. Let me know if you find any there. Thanks!
I’m only a kid, but I am really interested in this type of stuff. A year or two ago I found a plant fossil and I thought it was so cool. Last year I went swimming in a big lake, and I found sticks tied neatly with string. I think it is an artifact since currently I live in the region of Narragansett (native Americans tribe) so I am positive it is some sort of fishing tool or something made by the natives.
Awesome and relaxing video!! It feels like we are taking this journey with you - cool. Great ambience! Also, I’ve got a big collection of arrowheads from my Grandma. Now I want to go creek-searching. Thanks from A’ville.
Be blessed brother....thanks for the video! Get your butts in the creeks and play on those gravel bars, peeps!! All kinda cool fossils, arrowheads and such await you!

I think I see a point in this video ! At 8:05 . You say the sentence about going over that area and then take a step . When you take that step there’s a large black thing in the middle of the screen . Look up just a hair and to the right about 3 or 4 inches from that black rock and it looks like a maroon colored point laying there!
Nice metal detector they have a Christmas deal gone on now for the Garrett at pro for 488.00 dollars waterproof thinking about getting me one for Christmas if my wife will let me lol
