i am going to do Grafting of grape vine tomorrow, i have NARC black vine that is going to 4th floor of building, & produces around 100+ kg from single vine, i imported 6 varieties from some other people today, Thanks for the video you did, it really helped me & i will work on it tomorrow. i have these questions but i am not sure whether you will reply or not : 1) If the root stock is thick ( Hard wood) & scion is small, why did you placed the scion on edges rather then center point of the rootstock stem. while on whip & tongue, you matched the center of both i guess ? 2) Is it necessary to make the "scion flat side" facing towards center of the the root stock, or it can be put by facing towards corner edges of root stock ? 2) Instead of grafting wax, can we dip scion & root stock in Aloe vera for few seconds & then connect them & pack them the open cuts & then use the grafting tape & polythin bag over it. 3) Here in Islamabad, pakistan, its almost 18 degree in day & 8 degree in night, can we do the grafting now or i have to wait a month so the lowest temp. in nights will go at around 15 or 16 with day temp. around 25 to 26
Thank you so much for the different techniques. I purchased several varieties of cherry scion (bing, ranier, royal ann, and van). Do i need to have both male and female scion when grafting onto an existing plum cherry tree? In order to produce an abundance of cherry fruit? Im new to grafting so I would appreciate any advice.
I see conflicting information regarding the timing of cherry grafting. Some say to graft while still fully dormant, similar to when to graft apples. Other sources share information similar to the timing you are doing here, just as buds are about to break with first green calyx. Then, (1:40) I also heard you say something about 30 days and bloom, but could not quite understand what you said. Did you say that dormant scion grafting is successful even 30 days past bloom? My grafting success rate for cherries has been poor. 50% of so. I don't think it's technique as I have good success on even peach and apricot, which I find are very dependent on timing and temperature. Do you find greater success with earlier or later grafting of cherries? Do you look for specific weather or temperature for grafting?
The most important thing is to take the graft during the period of rest, to save it in a refrigerator, and when the vegetation of the rootstock starts, start grafting. Here in my example, the grafting was done at the time of flowering. ua-cam.com/video/j-2JHPG-LR8/v-deo.html
@@CherryFarmEurope Haha, I am bench grafting cherries at the very moment you wrote. The rootstock and scions shipped to me are already at bud swell, about to break, so I am moving forward rather than waiting. I wish the scions were more dormant, but I have to work with what I have. They are going on the hot pipe to callous for a bit before being planted out since the scions are so close to leafing out. But, I still have rootstock in the field that is more dormant, so I'll wait until later like in your video link. Thanks for the reply! Keep sharing your knowledge! It's appreciated.
Добрый день. Не забывайте, есть абсолютно не совместимые сорта вишен и черешни. И уделите внимание изоляции приводя от пересыхания. Удачи Вам Дорогой Друг.
Hi, I have watched all your vids on grafting and in one of them you said the big graft heals faster if grafting wax is aplied instead of sealing it with plastic tape or similar. Why is that? And can you comment on grafting/pruning pases, as ones are prone to cracking, and there are also nes on the market that would be like a ruber and would streach, but I have found water listers beneath them later(not goof for fungy infections I gues). It is my second year of grafting, and have done a lot last year different varieties with great sucsess. Thank you for your time, knowledge and effort!
Where can i get that wax? Also in addition to covering the graft with parafilm tape, does the rest of the scion wood need to be covered also? So it doesnt dty out?
Здравствуйте. Подскажите пожалуйста какую схему посадки мне использовать при формировки методом , KGB у меня саженцы на подвое максима 14 , сорта ерли лори , ерли бурлат , ерли биджи и лапинс . Спасибо
Branches for grafting are usually taken while the plants are at rest and stored in a cool place until the vegetation starts on the plant we want to graft.
I had no idea this was even possible.
thank you for sharing, this is really cool.
It’s a pleasure watching your grafting videos
One of the best !

it depends on the type of cherry, if it is self-pollinating then you don't need it. It is best to have two cherries that pollinate each other.
I see conflicting information regarding the timing of cherry grafting. Some say to graft while still fully dormant, similar to when to graft apples. Because the wax swallows the wood, and if this happens with the tape, it can lead to congestion and cracking of that part.
Asi çalışması çok guzel.....Asi bandını nereden temin edebilirim ?
Normal naylon streç bant bulmakta sorun yaşamazsınız

Where are you fo rom? You can use parafilm tape over the entire scion, but you don't have to.
I don't have grafting wax
Is there any thing else to use ?????
Any plastic tape or bag.

Whats the name of the substance youre applying after grafting?
Fitobalsam or grafting wax
Great video! Thanks! Friend, please tell me, what is the composition of putty? Is a regular oil-based paint suitable?
Wax with copper, you can use lime, it also disinfects wounds.
❤Vallahi çok güzel aşı yapıyor hem kalem hemde yarma kolay gelsin
Can we graft cherry or apple in a pear plant?
nope
If you dont mind me asking is it possible to graft a sweet cherry like stella to a sour cherry rootstock. Thanks. Great video man!!
You can definitely, only there will be less vigorous.
Where we will get cherry plant for plantation
Where are you from?
@@CherryFarmEurope from India.
Doesn't mazaard create very large trees? Mahaleb planted in our region.
Mazzard and Mahaleb are very similar in vigorous.
Should I take the tip of the branch from the mother tree for grafting while keeping the buds from the head or not?
Branches for grafting are usually taken while the plants are at rest and stored in a cool place until the vegetation starts on the plant we want to graft.
❤❤❤🎉
Name the paste.

Grafting is done at the end of the tree not at top of the tree
