The CherryFarm pruning & grafting channel is dedicated to sharing experience from growing fruits. As a farmer, I enjoy working in the orchard, trying to improve yields, save resources, produce fruits and find ways to be more sustainable on the market. I'm always learning and I like to hear other opinions. UA-cam has been a huge resource for me and I'm looking for ways to give back to the community and hopefully help others along the way. My branches don't have a lot of side branches. There are a few only on the top.Why？ Should I do anything to encourage more side branches？ Thank you.
This is completely normal, you can use a knife and scissors to cut the bark above the bud where you want to get a branch.

@@thanhphat3781 no, a large branch would bear large fruits, but it would harm the other branches because it would draw the most energy. Use Npk 6.12.24 and nitrogen

Lapins blooms fully in April, 15th and ripens June, 20th in South Korea.
@@user-cn5hd9gi1s oh wow that’s early. Here in Toronto Canada I have 2 lapins cherry trees. They had full bloom April 26 and I think they will be ripe on July 4th.

Nothing but a ladder. proper pruning enables accessibility. In this way, you will leave the fruits to the birds or, even worse, infect the tree if you do not pick the fruits.

Is it too late to prune a sour cherry tree with 0.5 to 1 inch (2-3 cm) leaves? No flowers yet. It's May in southern Alberta. Last week we had snow on the ground this week it's Summer. It happened too fast. Didn't have time to do it earlier.

My cherry plum is very sad. We didn’t know anything about it when we planted it 5 years ago. I want to prune it bad, but I missed opportunity. Grieve over dead husband. Can I take a stab at it now that it’s May?
Not at all in May, you have to wait for the plant to rest. Pruning is done before the beginning of the growing season, when night temperatures rise below zero.
Još jednom svaka čast na edukativnim video uradcima...prvi put sam se okušao u kalemljenju trešanja i od 15 komada 14 je bilo uspješno...pošto imam puno mladih samoniklih višanja možda sljedeće godine pokušam na njih ukalemiti trešnje...ili je bolje kalemiti tresnju na neku drugu podlogu? Imate li iskustva sa kalemljenjem trešnje na obicnu višnju, prednosti i mane, veličina ploda, rodnost itd?
Zavisi na kojoj visnji, npr na oblacinskoj bude slabijeg rasta ali zato i plodovi budu sitniji sve zavisi sta zelite da postignete ne bih preporucio za intezivnu proizvodnju . Moja preporuka je magriva ili gizela 6.
@@CherryFarmEurope ma nikakva intenzivna proizvodnja...čisto za sebe i kućnu upotrebu...ono što želim jeste da što ranije uđu u rod, rod i ne mora biti obilan bitno je da bude kvalitetan i krupan, i da stablo ne bude previsoko...jer po onom što sam pročitao ima da se načekam jer sam kalemio na divlju trešnju koja se dugo čeka na rod (7 godina) a i samo stablo bude previsoko...

It may or may not depend on the desired shape. It's up to you to decide.
