To de-pot the mac eyeshadow 1st heat up your straightning iron , 2nd separate your eyshadow from the base, 3rd get a napkin and fold it in half and place it in the iron, 4th place your eyeshadow top half on the the napkin that is on the iron, 5th you can apply pressure to the eyeshadow so the heat is more concentrated through the napkin, ONLY LEAVE IT ON GOR ABOUT 20 second intervals, every 20 seonds take it off the iron and take a thin knife and try to loosen the eyeshadow from the plastic
Stila's liquid eyeliner is a holy grail product. You'll love it. It's very black, can achieve multiple liner looks easily with the tip shape, and it stays on until you use a remover. Lasts a long time too. If it seems to be getting dry, just don't use it for a while and come back. It'll likely be good to go again!
When I sold fancy Italian shoes at a posh place in NY when I first lived there, first year did that, I was always very attentive to everyone and super polite. I was there to help them buy the designer's stuff and I hardly ever got abused. I also helped clean and was super honest. When I left, at my next job (secretary) my former boss gave me a rave review as an employee and that was just lovely, it helped me get my next position in the Big Apple! xo
The Hourglass primer is definitely a must for oily skin! Especially with the Hourglass foundation, or the KVD one. Those are my faves. I'm sure you would love it :D
hahaha omg i thought i was the only one who listens to her while doing assignments for college.. glad im not the only one :) I agree though, her voice is very soothing and I feel like I'm listening to a friend :)
Hey trisha! I have REALLY oily skin, like my face is a straight up grease slick in a matters of minutes right after i apply my foundation. What I've discovered that keeps my face matte all day is Milk of Magnesia.I apply a thick layer, let it dry, & then apply my foundation. Try it out ! Works like a charm. (p.s. make sure it's by the brand Phillips , I've tried generic brands of milk of magnesia and they did not fight off the oil like Philips did)
Trish, I love your voice and manner in videos like these. I'm listening to you whilst finishing a uni assignment and it's so calming! Not to mention you're looking gorgeous and radiant here! xxx
Trish, I too have the oiliest face on the planet. After using everything under the sun, I have found that a good primer (I use smashbox) then Revlon colourstay for oily skin, and CORN STARCH as a setting powder works wonders! It's the only combination of things that keeps me not shiny. The main ingredient in most face powders is corn starch anyways, so it's cheaper and works way better to just use it straight up, it only takes a tiny little dusting too(too much and you look pale) Try it out!
You can simply use straighteners and place like baking paper on the straightener when when turned on, take the shadow out of the packaging place the shadow on top of the paper and leave for a few seconds than take a pair of tweezers and take out the pan from the plastic. Pop the insert back into the packaging and take 6 of them to mac so you can get a lipgloss or lipstick for free :)
You can depot them on your hair straighteners, its really easy. All you do is put grease proof paper or something over the straightener and then wait for the glue to melt and then pop it out xxxx
I want you to know I got the courage to shop for makeup because of watching your videos and learning so much about how to apply and what looks good!!! Thank you so much!! I have really oily skin too so I follow your shopping list all the way!! I'm learning how to use brushes and everything from using nothing!! Thank you so much for your beautiful soul and sharing personality!!!!!! Heart!!!!
If you want an easy way to clean your brushes just use soap and olive oil. The soap cleans and the olive oil hydrates the little brush hairs. And hang them upside-down so the extra liquid doesn't get into the glue and cause the brushes to shed.
Instead of a candle you can use a straightener and keep it low so it just melts the glue enough for you to pop it out. You can use a metal nail file to pop them out.
I have really oily skin. I use powder once a day, and blotting papers the rest of the day. Too much powder can look cakey, but I feel like the blotting papers take off your makeup. So you can't win. I started using a couple of drops of that Josie Margan light argan oil under my regular face moisturizer. I am breaking out less. It's supposed to balance oily skin.
I have to tell you that you need to try the MAC super slick liquid eye liners! they stay all day and come of really easily with face wipes. I swear by it. My favorite colors are "on the hunt" which is a black black for those for dramatic eyes and also the "marked for glamor" which is a grey with some sparkle in it. Also I'm not a big fan of Dior mascaras either but I am a huge advocate for their Maximizer lash plumping serum. It makes it look as though as you are wearing individual falsies.
I always watch your vids, but I don't think I have ever wrote in the comment section. I just want to say that you are one Fabulous women. You can tell you are not just, of course, beautiful on the outside but just so special in your soul as well. So genuine and truthful with your reviews and every in an out of life. Everything about you is truth, and you give that to your viewers. I for one really appreciate that. Thank you for making great videos.
I love you when you're this Trish. You're so real and I enjoy watching your videos I actually care what you're saying but sometimes you frustrate me so much. I loved this vid x
You have to use a candle... place it on a hair straightener to warm the glue attaching it to its original palette... then let it warm up for a few seconds... after take a nail file on the edge of the pot... be easy though so you don't break the powder
Hi Trish! I have a product that I bought from Sephora that I love. It's by Sarah McNamara and its called miracle skin transformer. It's a 5 and one skin enhancer w/ SPF 20. I wear it under my primer when I wear makeup or just by itself. It's tinted so it reduces the look of redness and if you have blemishes it helps to cover them up. It's a little pricey @ 48 dollars, but I really like. I like putting it on when I don't have time 4 makeup, it gives very light coverage w/ SPF!
First, you are a beautiful young lady! I despise snobby sales people, I intentionally go to counters not made up . I was worked a makeup counter from the time I was seventeen till I was 30. There is absolutely no reason to be a snob. You handled that situation with still and grace. Embrace your oily skin now, it will keep you looking young . Keep rocking your own style!
Another way of depotting your mac eye-shadows is by placing them on top of your hair straighter, leave them for about 5 min then use tweezers to pull it out. Hope I explained myself well:) love your personality and your videos!
You're gonna LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the NARS crystal powder!!!!! It's absolutely AMAZING!!!!! I also got the pressed powder for my purse!!!!!!! LOVE!!!! Absolute HOLY GRAIL!!!!!!!
If I'm not mistaken, its her old NYX train case. She mentioned it in an old vid. Its a train case that can stand and she used to keep her makeup in it :)
i have a few things to say about this video: 1) these are my favorite kind of videos by you trish! 2) i depoted my mac eyeshadows using a hair straighter and it worked out perfectly! 3) could you next time like put the prices in the description or something? definitly don't say it in your video because that may stir up some stuff like people thinking your bragging or something idk just looking out for you lol. 4) i loveeeeeeeee creme de rose!! it is soooo good and moisturizing. xoxo
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these types of videos, and your makeup tutorials as well!!! You are so gorgeous.....always excited for your videos......keep em coming!!
It is definitely not you.. Some people should not be working in the service industry... So sad he could not take one look at you and see that you would be interested in the makeup period. Any num - nut would know you love makeup and would have assisted you... Don't let a loser like that drive you away from a product or make you think there is something different about you as a customer... We are all customers and equal... Thanks for the reviews they are great and you look fab.
Omg, the neon baby lips have the best formula thus far!! :D I have four of 'em, (the purple, orange, hot pink and yellow ones (i forget the names)) and the tint isn't too obnoxious on them and yellow one doesn't have any color which is great. I love the orange one, it sort of goes with my skin tone and it's not too bright. The purple one smells nice but makes my lips look kinda dead x3 The pink one is pretty but real bright.
You should do a skin care routin for oily skin! i have oily skin and have the same trouble you have for founding the perfect foundation :( love you Trish!
Put wax paper on a straightener and once you pop out the container place it on the straightener and wait a couple of seconds till there is a tiny hole underneath then pop out the medal tray and you can put the the bottom of the shadow popover n the straightener too n u can get the sticker off and place it in ur pro pallet. Another good thing with the straightener u can do multiples at once
I know this is an old video but that's annoying some sales people act like that towards people they think won't spend money that's why I like going to Ulta the ones where I live everyone is so nice and tries to help you unless I just look like I'm trying to spend money I don't know haha
I used to have really oily skin, and then I stopped wearing cover up every single day, and switched to wearing it on only special occasions, and I noticed my skins not nearly as oily anymore
I have oily skin as well, and I absolutely love the Hourglass primer and foundation for daytime, and the Kat Von D foundation for evening events. I also swear by the Makeup Forever HD finishing powder! :)
I think you should try hourglass foundation! I have the oiliest skin and the same foundation problems as you.. I'm in LOVE with this. Combined with Chanel creamy milk cleanser... Lifesaver. No more oil or acne!
Trish, try the Oil Cleansing Method. I am Italian and have really oily skin as well and my acne improved dramatically in just a couple days. My skin also produces a lot less oil throughout the day now, too.
the people saying cruel stuff should be ashamed Trisha is BEAUTIFULL the way she is and is very happy and if you dont like her dont come here to be stupid and do nothing but hate.
use a knife to pop out your shadows and then put them on your straighter . it melts the glue and then you can pop the metal pan out ! way easier way to depot
My hairdresser actually told me that blondes should stay away from Moroccan oil because it's very yellow based and that it can actually end up yellowing your hair over time! So it might be a good thing that you're trying out the argan oil!
I'm only 12, from the UK (Wales) and don't really wear makeup or shop much but I love watching your videos because you seem so smart but have the stereotypical blonde personality- bubblily and beautiful and fun! Really like you xoxox
My current favorite beauty products are.. Kat Von d full coverage foundation, benefit hoola bronzer, Milani luminoso blush, my urban decay naked basics palette, benefit they're real mascara, benefit boing concealer, and my Nyx liquid liner.
Your a great youtuber. I like that no matter what you stay positive it's so hard for me to keep positive. I feel like horrible but when I watch your videos it makes me feel like you know how people think and you don't care and I admire you for that. One thing from this video that I honestly would ask you is what do you think would be the best foundation or make up that would help hide all my dry skin? If you could help that would be so awesome...... Your a great person Trisha love you and you
I am super oily as well, no oily t zone, I'm oily all over lol. I use clinique's age defense bb cream and their invisible blend powder and it works. Maybe you can try it out so that you have a more affordable option to use some days out of the week so that you wont use up your dolce foundation up too quickly.
Get a hair straightener and put a piece of foil then the mac plastic thingy wait till it melts a lil and poke it with a needle or a tack and boom comes out
Nice haul!!! I only buy drugstore makeup & since you like the Milani blushes you should try the pressed powder foundation. It works great. I am a Milani girl period as far as their eye liners & lipsticks & lip flashes, Lip flashes in the sticks, & I used to really love their nail polish because they had beautiful colors with long wear but I haven't used mine in a long time because I have like 500 bottles of polish. I would never buy any ugly cheap packaging Mac products. The money they charge?
i'm not mistaken, i've been in sales and it's true. older people having more money is true, too, but that's not the only reason. Its wayyy way easier to convince an older women who is beginning to wrinkle and show her age that she needs a 200 dollar concealer than someone in their early 20s.
u can take a knife and pop it out put it on a hair straghtner and let it sit and it melets the glue and you can pop it out . And there is your depoted eye shadow it worls with blush to
I love the Real Technique brushes! So good for such a good price. They sell them at my walmart if there are any Canadians out there, we don't have Ulta's.
VERY COOL TRICK: I have very oily skin and just learned a really neat trick here on youtube....use milk of magnesia, yes its a laxative but dab some on your face where ever you get oily. It feels so neat on your skin and drys quickly. Research it!! It helps me ALOT!
I'm just shocked that she's so sad, she seems to have a supportive mom and good life...my mom has always been moody and crabby since forever, when she had a friend over her friend said, "Does Bethany want to join us?" my mom answered "No, you know how older guys like young girls like her..." I've always been "the other woman" for my mom and its really annoying how I'm just a reminder of everything she's not, she's not young anymore...
I just got Mac prep and prime bb medium dark and mineralize skin finish natural foundation medium dark and I must say I really like the prep and prime. I can put on both in the morning and by the end of the day I'm still good. I also got the pro long wear concealer nw 25 and that I am not very impressed with. It really does not cover my dark spots and spider veins very well but I am still learning how to cover those up. I also have oily skin.
Maybe try some skin care WITH oil to help reduce your oily skin!? Because if you search it up oil is actually good for oily skin because it tells your skin that you already have oil in your skin so your skin doesn't produce as much oil if that makes sense! Xx love you And you videos!
Trisha I still have my pink lemonade Mac lipgloss and I love it
What I love from real techniques is the expert face brush which is sold by itself, it's one of my favourite foundation brushes ever !

Not trying to be mean but her lips were so much cuter here. I understand wanting a little plump but I think she went too over board with it.

For depoting, you can try the flat iron method. Also, on zpallets website, they have a list of different ways to depot your compacts and such.
And Real Techniques brushes are amazing, I've got the complete collection and I use them every day and they're so soft and super easy to clean!
I LOVE that you do luxury makeup/product hauls! LOVE!
You should look into Dior mascaras! They have super wet formulas so they look really good when using fake lashes, it blends them perfectly!
I have really oily skin. I use powder once a day, and blotting papers the rest of the day. Too much powder can look cakey, but I feel like the blotting papers take off your makeup. So you can't win. You can hold it over a flat iron to depot the eyeshadows. I depoted my lancome eyeshadows like that.
If I'm not mistaken, its her old NYX train case. She mentioned it in an old vid. Its a train case that can stand and she used to keep her makeup in it :)

You can use a flat iron instead of the candle for depoting ur shadows
use a straightening iron its much safer than a candle. and don't forget to save the cases for "back to mac"
If you use the clean and clear oil absorbing cream cleanser it works, well it works on me and I have very oily skin
Trish, Put the mac shadow casing on a straight iron. When its warm enough, Pop it up through the center. I just did all mine....much easier love!!! :)
use a knife to pop out your shadows and then put them on your straighter . it melts the glue and then you can pop the metal pan out ! way easier way to depot
My hairdresser actually told me that blondes should stay away from Moroccan oil because it's very yellow based and that it can actually end up yellowing your hair over time! So it might be a good thing that you're trying out the argan oil!

Use your flat iron to de-pot your eyeshadows. Just put the bottom on one of the plates until the glue melts:)
Your a great youtuber. I like that no matter what you stay positive it's so hard for me to keep positive. I feel like horrible but when I watch your videos it makes me feel like you know how people think and you don't care and I admire you for that. I am super oily as well, no oily t zone, I'm oily all over lol. I use clinique's age defense bb cream and their invisible blend powder and it works. Maybe you can try it out so that you have a more affordable option to use some days out of the week so that you wont use up your dolce foundation up too quickly.
i love the orange brushes. i use it everyday n they r amazing n the brush is so soft
Get a hair straightener and put a piece of foil then the mac plastic thingy wait till it melts a lil and poke it with a needle or a tack and boom comes out
Rubbing alcohol helps to take out the clue when de-poting. .I have heard of some also using a flat iron instead of fire.
The money they charge?
use a hair straightener, and i also use the real techniques eye brushes, they're so amazing!
i'm not mistaken, i've been in sales and it's true. older people having more money is true, too, but that's not the only reason. Its wayyy way easier to convince an older women who is beginning to wrinkle and show her age that she needs a 200 dollar concealer than someone in their early 20s.
I was so happy to see a new beauty related video up on your channel!!
I have been binge watching your videos all day since I found you :3
put aluminum foil over a flat iron and put the eyeshadow on top, once it gets soft and melted on the bottom, pop it out with a knife!

The Hourglass foundation is incredible and a little goes a very long way. It is also one of the few makeup brands that is paraben-free:)
Soooo you can depot like this..pop out the shadow out and put it on your straightener while hot...for two mins..then push color out of pot!!!! So easy
Hourglass foundation is amazing! You must try the urban decay moondust shadows, gorg sparklyness!
I'm just shocked that she's so sad, she seems to have a supportive mom and good life...my mom has always been moody and crabby since forever, when she had a friend over her friend said, "Does Bethany want to join us?" my mom answered "No, you know how older guys like young girls like her..." I've always been "the other woman" for my mom and its really annoying how I'm just a reminder of everything she's not, she's not young anymore...
you can put the mac pots in a flat iron to de-pot them :)
The RealTechnique brushes are AMAZING!
You are SO beautiful with this makeup! You really are naturally gorgeous~
Maybe try some skin care WITH oil to help reduce your oily skin!? Because if you search it up oil is actually good for oily skin because it tells your skin that you already have oil in your skin so your skin doesn't produce as much oil if that makes sense! Xx love you And you videos!
