Attorney Steve, I really Like your Videos they are full of extraordinarily helpful information. I would greatly appreciate it if you would make a series of Videos on HOW TO: 1)Copyright a Book that an individual has written by hand, 2)Self-Publish a Book with reputable self-publishing companies, 3)Sell the Book to the Public. Please include information regarding current Costs involved. Thank you so very much for your Informative Knowledgeable Videos.
Great video. So, if you work for a company and do a teams meeting to train some remote employees, and they record the meeting, terminate you, can they just reuse it for future trainings without permission you use your likeness? If you send a formal letter demanding they cease to use your likeness and voice without permission or consideration, would they have to comply?
Hey, in this video are you talking from an employer's perspective or an employee's perspective (so when you say get your work made for hire contract ready, are you talking to an employee?)?
Under the supplemental work section it mentions commenting. UA-cam has a lot of reaction type videos where people are claiming fair use because they are commenting on copyrighted videos. Ignore the fair use part. Could the owners of the original work claim copyright upon the reaction videos because it is supplemental work? Can there be a defacto work for hire contract imposed?
I have a question sir what If a person downloaded a copyrighted book about how to be rich and the person that illegally downloaded the book and got rich because of that book that he illegally downloaded, and then owner caught the person who copyright the book and sue him a law suit do the person who copyrights the book have to give the money to the copyright owner?
ianal, so take what i say with a grain of salt. that said, it needs to be said that inventions, and specifically patents, don't apply to "work for hire" at all, which is why I'm sure Steve was careful to specify copyrights. anyway, as it stands in law, an employee, in the course of their regular work, could patent a process they developed under time you paid them for. a PIIA will protect from this.

Can u make that in pdf form so we can download load the Fiverr contract?
Doesn't a work for hire agreement need to also have the phrase "work for hire" to be enforceable?
Great content, Mr. Vondran.
Just contacted you via your contact form and look forward to a timely reply.
