On a legal note. The jury is a trier of fact. The judge rules on the law.
As a matter of law, should this case be dismissed? What that means is, no matter what the jury determines are the facts, taking the one most favorable to the prosecution, Trump is innocent.

I agree the checks and balances were ignored. This case should not have gone to trial. This is nothing more than some grandstanding. The prosecution should be able to show which laws were clearly broken. I've not seen a clear definition of the crime. Hush money is not blackmail, it is not coercion. It was money offered to keep a relationship out of the news. The Hush money is not respected but I don't believe it broke any laws (but I'm not a lawyer).

The entire case just felt like a fishing expedition. They just wanted Trump in the courtroom, while the continued to look for something that was criminal. What upsets me is the DA should not have brought this case before a judge. And the judge should have not taken the case, without a defined law that was broken. This entire case feels more like opinion than law.
