The first time I saw this movie I thought that the actress who played the mom should've won an Oscar, that performance was insane.
I feel terrible but every single time I knew there was a jump scare coming I would be smiling like an idiot in anticipation and laughed every time you both got freaked out😂.
I have to say, a lot of the Jumpscares in The Conjuring films are done well. Some of them, you know are coming, but you're caught off guard because your focus was on something else.

I love watching horror movies. Always have. But watching the reactions of you two is a close 2nd. How Asia can watch 80% of a movie with eyes closed or thru her fingers and still be so aware of what's happening in the plot is amazing.

This was the first film in a while that truly creeped me out. Saw in theaters and literally screamed during the clothesline scene. SO embarrassing lol
I saw this in theatres when it came out and I remember calling my roommate and begging her to come home from her boyfriends house so I wouldn’t be alone but she just made fun of me, still mad at you Tracey!! Haha

I saw this movie while on deployment and walking through the hallways on the ship at night with the red lights? OMG I never walked so fast to my berthing and got in my rack…then turned around and watched the second one the next night 🤣

I live in SoCal and the storm knocked the power out during the part the girl was being thrown around by her hair. It was pitch black...Im feeling around for my phone...right then the cat jumped up on my bed and scared the SHIT outta me. I screamed 🤣. Watched this movie maybe five times. Every time it scares the bejesus outta me. Another fire reaction from A&B!
This is one of the best modern horror movies. The suspense alone back your spine tingle. A masterpiece.

The case in Long Island she mentioned was referring to the Amityville Horror. They investigated that as well.

Just wanna say that you guys are true warriors to watch only horror movies during the month of october. I'm gonna be honest, I didn't think Asia could handle it. By the end of the month, she won't need that blanket anymore.

@@jwaximus1113 The Insidious series is probably the closest to the conjuring films without actually being part of the conjuring film universe. The Babadook is another good one. for older films there is the original Amityville horror. as well as Poltergiest if you haven't seen that (and the remake too, which i thot was done well, and they changed up the climax in an interesting way.)
and there is a ton in the found footage arena. "The Taking of Deborah logan" was really good. I do still like the paranormal activity films. the first 2 and the marked ones esp. the marked ones has a few references to previous films but can be watched on its own. even Next Of Kin is pretty good if you go in knowing it has nothing to do with the other PA films (it would have been better received if they had removed PA from the title).

James Wan is a master of horror! Him and Leigh Wannell are one of the best Directing/Writing duos with their creation of Saw!!

Ed & Lorraine have passed away not too terribly long ago...Their museum is blessed often by a priest and looked after by their son in law. People have offered to buy Annabelle, including Zak Bagans of Ghost Adventures, but the Warrens gave specific instructions that the doll was never to be sold or let out of the box she's in. The son-in-law did take her to visit Zak's haunted museum in Las Vegas, and Zak "accidently" touched her out of the box...but I never heard anything if she hurt him or not after that. The Warrens have investigated numerous hauntings.... The Amityville house, the Haunting in Connecticut house...and many others. There's tons of research on the Warrens and the works they did. It's all pretty interesting. And The Conjuring 2 house....that one, too.

You’ve got to watch The Exorcist if you want to be scared to the max!! It is one of the best, if not the best, horror film of all time. It was a critical and commercial success. Still holds up today; was made in 1973. Great acting!!
Totally, first horror I watched still scares the you know what out of me 😱 even though the effects are abvious! So much real life tragic events are connected to the making of that film, if you believe n what cast and crew of the film say, the affect it had on people at the time and now is crazy, scary and disturbingly, disturbing! The old Devil & God battle manifesting in the worst way a Child! Every movie since has tried to top but can't for its time! The real story was a documented possession of a young boy, true events! Must see!
If they watch The Exorcist, Asia better bring an extra blanket, for BJ.

Yes, Ed and Loraine Warren are real people and really did investigate paranormal activity. Loraine outlived Ed and has been on several shows involving the paranormal. The real Lorain Warren was in the movie as an extra. She was sitting amongst the other people during the warrens presentation right before the mom asked for their help.

I can relate to Asia with this movie, I was terrified as hell when I first watched this movie, such a great movie.
I know awards are typically given in the horror genre, but that Joey King girl needed an Oscar for her performance. She actually made me feel fear!

I’m an Delivery driver and I have delivered to the warren house. Never have been inside of course but knowing the doll is basically in their basement in the museum is something to think about.

Honestly, I thought one of the freakiest parts was when the bed sheet wrapped around the outline of the demon witch and then you saw her in the window upstairs. 🧺👻🙀Ooooooo! I saw this in the theater when it came out and just about every one jumped out of their seats or screamed that’s how intense and scary this was. It made $138 million in the US and $182 million overseas for a total of $320 million on a budget of only 20 million. The sequel is The Conjuring 2 and the 3rd one is The Devil Made Me Do It. There are 5 other movies in The Conjuring universe.
This movie WAS scary, but I only peed my pants when BJ didn't give Asia the tissue...I peed myself laughing, lol. 🤣

A couple of older ones, if you guys haven't already been suggested are, The Amityville Horror (First one) and this old black and white classic, The Omen, with Gregory Peck.
Those are a must watch!!

I've got ice water in my veins when it comes to scary movies. 98% do absolutely nothing to me, don't phase me at all.
But THIS movie? This one scared the hell out of me. There's maybe 4 or 5 scary movies that I've ever seen that actually really got to me. This was one of them (and Conjuring 2 is another).
One of the many things I love about this movie, and there are many, when I was a kid, my cousins grew up in a house with this exact same floor plan. The upstairs was a bit different, but the main floor was identical. And the basement and stairs were the same. In my cousins house, the basement also had stairs to the kitchen.
This movie makes me smile a lot.
This is my absolute favourite horror movie, and I remember waching this in the cimema with that loud sound on the jump scares ... I think I went to to ceiling of the cinema to clap it a few times 🤣🤣 ... I really loved watching BJ singing when he got scared this time 🤣🤣🤣🤣 .... And Asias big eyes the entire movie 🤣🤣 ... Another great reaction 👌

I’m a catholic, and I love horror films, especially true story ones; because seeing good triumph over evil is truly inspiring. When Ed was doing the exorcism, even though he wasn’t a priest, he still took charge to do what he can to help the mother, and relied on faith to get him through the ordeal. Because exorcisms are very dangerous if they aren’t handled carefully. One wrong move, and that will be the end.

The Warrens used to come to my university and did a lecture every Halloween. Scared the ever-living crap out of me. Especially their story about this doll (the original was a Raggedy Ann doll, IIRC). Edit to add: They showed ALL these photos with ghosts and orbs and all that kind of stuff and this was WAY before photoshop.
I read all of their books a couple of years ago. I believe them 100%. I am very very careful with what I allow in my house. I won’t even let my kids watch movies like this bc I don’t want ANY doors open into their brains or souls for anything to try and get in. This stuff scares the crap out of me !! There was another movie we watched a while back ago, it was a Spanish movie with subtitles. I can’t remember what it was called, Lola or something like that. It really really scared me !! I don’t scare easily and I love horror movies, but this kind of stuff scares me !! Because I know it’s real. 🫣
The Warrens was great enterteinment. They made lots of money fooling people like other mediums.
@@michele36618 Spanish horror films are super scary as they seem to have less CGI and so rely on traditional scare tactics. If you want to watch some more try Veronica, La Abuela, La Influencia, El Orfanato, Rec (the first one), Malasana 32, Voces (Don't Listen) and Los Ojos de Julia (not horror but a fantastic thriller).

Also...I think the Warrens were pretty amazing people. Their daughter and son in law Tony Spara live and maintain that museum and teach about their experiences and knowledge. I lived a few miles from this place back when I lived in RI. There are people living there today, and they say strange things still happen, like lights flickering, but nothing dangerous. It's a lovely old farmhouse but you couldn't pay me to live there
The real house just sold for $1.5 million dollars and the new owners let people spend the night to do paranormal investigations in case your looking for a weekend getaway LOL!
At the end when Loraine said there was a case in Long Island she wanted to check out, that was the Amityville house. They never did a movie of their experience there though.

In my opinion, this is one of the BEST movies/series going today. Not much Blood, but scarier than HELL. There are 8 movies, as of now. 1) The Conjuring 2) ANNABELLE 3) The Conjuring 2 4) ANNABELLE: Creation 5) The NUN ) The Curse of La Llorona 7) ANNABELLE Comes Home and 8) The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It. AND in September the Ninth movie and TBA, a Tenth is scheduled. This is a great movie and every one of them after this is just as good.The Warrens characters are not in all of the movies but they are scattered throughout the series. Movies 1, 3 and 8 are focused around them, and they stay with the same actors to play them. IMO, a GREAT series of movies. Great job staying through the whole movie Asia.I thought you were gonna leave BJ on his own after about 21-22 minutes. LOL. Hoping you do more of the series.

You should see all Conjuring movies, especially ANABELLE. The Warrens are both deceased now, but thanks to them there is the Amityville Horror, Conjuring, and a Haunting in Connecticut. All cases they worked on, they were fascinating people!

When I was about 9 or 10, my grandparents moved into a huge house that was probably about 150 years old. It was a big old house with a ridiculous amount of space (so many that my extremely low key and down to earth grandparents just closed the doors off and didnt even use half of the rooms) The house was FULL of all the junk left there by the previous occupants. Just big, empty rooms full of boxes of someone's old stuff. I was totally fascinated by the concept of all of it belonging to someone else. Some interesting finds like a toy baby carriage, old magazines, things like that, but also broken chairs or spent lightbulbs. As a kid, it was like a treasure hunt, going to Grandma's magical old house and helping her go through it all to determine if any of the junk was salvageable.
As an adult...you better get your stuff out of my house before I call 1-800-GOT-JUNK. I would never move into a house that wasn't empty. Dealing with everything someone else left behind sounds like a huge headache, not to mention having to worry that something they left is possessed!
Ed and Lorraine presented at a Jr. College I went to in 1998. It was amazing! Audio, video and pictures. It was a week before Halloween. The projector bulb blew during their final slides talking about Annabelle, which was actually a raggedy anne doll. Our dorm.director said he put in a new bulb prior to the presentation. The Warren's told him it was the 4th show in a row that the bulb blew when discussing Annabelle.
I love how revved up Asia was at the end there! Talking a mile a minute trying to get a coherent thought out. I'm glad you got into it and fully enjoyed the movie! Thanks for all the great reactions! I love watching you guys watch horror especially! 😂
