Word of warning: My dog nearly died eating a brussels sprout. She attempted to swallow it whole. It got stuck in her throat and she flopped over on the floor. Luckily my dad was able to dislodge it. One of the scariest moments ever. Cut up those sprouts before you feed them to your dog.
That makes sense. My boy poodle loves steamed brussel sprouts so they are already sort of falling apart but it probably is something I should check for before serving them.

Yea they like it because of the water in it my dog was scared of it at first but when she put it in her mouth I pushed her mouth down on it fast so the water could come out now she loves it.
dogs like the sweet. they also like things that crunch. I don't think the green vegetables have that much taste for them. I think my dogs just like to crunch.

Vet tech here: PLEASE cook the potato (or microwave first). The solanine in that veggie can be toxic to dogs. Usually it is found in the eyes or if the potato has green parts on the skin. However, to be safe in general, cooking stabilizes the solanine and makes it safe for consumption. Also, corn usually gives dogs a blowout. On the cob can create a blockage in the intestine. And, if your dog gets excessive gas from eating anything, discontinue it. Usually that is a sign of gastric upset. Otherwise, you are awesome for providing healthy alternative treats to your doggie!
I've always thought you shouldn't give dogs any kinds of potatoes. I've read that in several places :f
tsiuuuh Mashed without the skin would be fine, as the chemical that affects dogs reside in the skin. However, potatoes are not something I give my guys. There are other better alternatives. Although, some dog food companies do put cooked, processed potatoes in their food.

ForeverDana Doesn't mean that there aren't any. It's better to search on the internet or call first before driving all the way to the shelter and asking.
I waited about a year hoping to catch wind of an airedale in a shelter nearby. Then i met my beagle and i'm happy i decided to get him instead. It's been about 9 years since we first met and i love him.
So, some breeds are less easy to come across, but, shelter dogs are still awesome.

My dogs love watermelon, cucumber, butternut squash, bell peppers, green beans, carrots, sweat potato. Don't think they've tried any other fruits/veg.
Try and give them some walnuts, my dog used to sit under a walnut tree and wait for them to fall, he'd catch them mid-fall, crush them, spit them out and pick up the good parts.
