I love how they named her Worthy. What a beautiful name. I have a niece with down syndrome named Sindiswa which basically mean savior. She is our dancing queen, our Whitney Houston, she is just such a joy.

There is no such thing as ugly or beautiful in this world. We as humans MAKE things either “ugly” or “beautiful”. This is a tough concept to grasp, but atleast your heart is in the right place.

My little brother has Down Syndrome. He’s 11 now and I’m 17 years his senior but that boy teaches me so much about love and compassion. He reminds me to be in the moment and how much the little things in life can bring such irreplaceable joy.

having special needs doesn't mean that she is not able. I have special needs and I am still capable and able even with my needs. Just coming from a person with special needs I dont like it when people say things like ''like your not disabled, your differently abled''. It takes away from the truth.

People not seeing special needs kids as special needs is what stops some from getting the help they need. Yes she’s special needs but she’s still amazing

I absolutely love this!!! I have custody of my "special abled" younger sister and everyone tells me all the time she is lucky to have me. I correct them. I am blessed to have her. Myself and my husband treat her as one of our kids. I wouldn't change a thing about her. It makes me heart smile to see other siblings loving their special ones.

One day I went to Denny's on my lunch break and ate lunch by myself. There was a family a few booths down and one of the family members had down syndrome. We were smiling and waving at each other throughout the meal and before they left she came over to my table and gave me a coupon that she had for Denny's saying she "wanted me to have it". She was so excited about giving me this coupon and I could just feel how much it meant to her. She picked ME to give it to! I felt so honored. I think about that day a lot and I try to make other people feel how she made me feel that day. Every person I've met that has down syndrome has been an absolute joy. Their happiness is infectious

I adore her name - so beautiful. I know a couple who, after they raised their 4 kids into late teens, they adopted 6 kids with special needs from Asian countries. I am so blessed that my kids shared school and friendships with these wonderful kids. I am in awe and filled with gratitude to know these parents.

Love this. I have a cousin with Down syndrome, also Chinese (not adopted), and his parents really dotted on him. They love him so much and he ended up being a successful entrepreneur. People with Down syndrome are 100% worthy of love just like any other person. I’m sure Worthy brings a lot of joy to the family. ❤️

I knew a donw syndrome three years my senior in university who was a brilliant programer.
He wast very good at "coming up" with the code, but he could take an algorithm and code the instructions in any language you told him, he had weirdly a huge memory and attention to the details and a great focus. I think he had his curriculum adapted to his strong points, and honestly he was brilliant at what he could do.
This kid has a future in cosmology. You go girl!!!
