This is a good instructor because he is spending a lot of time providing foundational information about the unit circle before you have to switch over to radian measures. Other instructors immediately begin to layer radian measures on top of the unit circle degrees so you feel a bit overwhelmed. That's especially true if you are still learning what sine, cosine, tangent, etc are. Here, you are being strongly encouraged to take the time to learn where the degrees are before they are replaced by radian measures. I also noticed how he encouraged you to see how each degree can be seen 2 ways depending on if you are going clockwise or counter clockwise. Now, on to the radian measures. He warned you! 👍

I was just wanted to say thank you for an awesome comment. I spent a great deal of time deciding exactly how I wanted to present this, and I’m really happy that you see the plan. I really wanted to introduce the unit circle carefully in terms of what it means before we do anything in radian measure or before you really apply sine and cosine to it. I think it takes time to absorb this information, but once you absorb it all of your skills and trigonometry and precalculus will be much much stronger. Thanks again and good luck on your studies! Jason

But what is a negative angle ? Yes, (positive) 330 degrees corresponds to negative 30 degrees. But what does a ‘negative angle’ mean or represent. Is there a real life application for ‘negative angles’ ?

I found a really neat way to construct the unit circle when I was in high school. It requires adding 4 additional lines. Just divide the circle into equal 15 degree graduations. Then starting at the 0 degree line and number 0-24 going around counter clockwise ending back at the same line. I call these numbers "Q" Then theta= QPi/12 . This method can actually be used to determine the exact radian measure for any number of even divisions substituting also half the number of divisions for the numerator. If you divide the circle into 360 equal parts then theta=QPi/180. I've never seen anybody else ever do this and I'm more than old enough to have kids in high school. I never had to memorize the values of the unit circle because I knew how to make it. Sure, I get the whole special right triangle thing but I've always believed this was somehow really important. My high school trig teacher just got mad at me. I've never understood why.

Ideas pop up from the depth of knowledge; either they persist or perish. Some make a difference.
Ideas are good,if they make sense
Ideas are better,if they make us think
Ideas are the best,if they work for us.

I am playing with numbers to try to decode the messages of scriptures in numbers to the numbers of a formula to formulating an order of.... through various scriptures, biology, anatomy, physics, bacterialogy, chemistry, evolution, geology, astronomy, psychology, and advance engineering of the physical plane, shape, size, to a living system of planets of possibly Alien humans leaving messages of math symbols of crop circle shapes and measurement to where we are and who we are.

So can you say zero is (10/100)+ 90/100 ? Totaling 100/100 which is 1(90°) 1 out of 10 ? 1+9 ? If 100/100=1 then 36000/100=360 starting from 001/100- 36000/100 = 360 if you make space for zero than you have a total of 360001 spaces .. nobody wants to address this I know I'm right and the big bang theory is wrong. The count starts at 00.001 not 0 .. zero doesn't count. The second degree begins at 1.001 if you decide each degree into 100 fractions. I want to hear your counter argument. That's why people are still wondering what happens at the beginning.. there was no big bang and pie is incorrect.

360 degrees is just a man made number. It could just as easily be one. One time around the circle. Nothing magic about 360. At least I haven't seen it yet. So then half way around the circle is 1/2.

There is something magical about 360.
It can be divided evenly by all numbers up to 10 except for 7.
