    I like the focus on relaxation. I’ll give it a go. Thanks for the good explanation

    This is great! Thanks K
    I use this training method with face plunge and also longer duration box breathing, plus sometimes ill do walking breathold to get some dynamic apnea. It is working well.
    I find dry apnea to be stressful on the body and mind; with face plunge the dive reflex is improved and it is a much more relaxing experience after a short while.

      Thank you! Yes, breath hold with the face in the water more relaxed :)

    I am a beginner freediver in Canada. I am very busy, so I am lucky if I get to the pool once every 2 weeks. Is it worth doing this table once a week? I don't think I can do it more often than once a week or once every 2 weeks. My goal is to have fun in the water in the summer, not go to any specific depths or competition. However, I feel that I would benefit from this exercises even if I did it once every 2 weeks. any thoughts?

    Hello. How many holds should we do per day when doing this table? Is 15 holds enough?

      what helped me was the 1-breath technique, paired with the idea of compounding from calisthenics.
      step 1 : Say, you are at 20 sec, then hold for 12..15, exhale, inhale normally, again 12..15, exhale, inhale normally. hold for 7..10.
      step 2: do this until you feel very comfortable
      step 3: now re-arrange the load: pass 1: 16..22, pass 2: 10.12, pass 3: 10..12
      step 4: do this until you feel very comfortable
      step 5: set a new baseline, instead of 12..15, start with 17..22, repeat, and rearrange to 23..27.
      you got the idea....
      I applied this also for dead-man hanging, or pull ups, or push ups,
      .
      regarding breath holding however, you have to do also HIIT and cardio training yo improve circulation and the amount of oxygen the body can hold. there is lot more about physiology, not fitting here though. have fun!

    Thanks for the great videos and encouragement! Can you tell me the best way to stop the air from escaping during the breath hold? And are contractions when your diaphragm jerks or is it before that?

    • @KAIZENFREEDIVING
      @KAIZENFREEDIVING  2 роки тому

      Thx for the feedback! Do you train with a mask or with a nose clip? And yes, technically "contractions" are the movement of your respiratory muscles (include the diaphragm)

      @@KAIZENFREEDIVING thanks, no haven't tried training with a nose clip or a mask. It's this a good idea? Perhaps you can point me in the direction of more info about this.

      Ha, I just realized what you mean. I am actually only dry training at the moment so of course I'm not using a mask or nose clip.😂

    • @KAIZENFREEDIVING
      @KAIZENFREEDIVING  2 роки тому +1

      @@omorsebrown haha, ok. But you actually can try to use a nose clip for dry training as well (I use it)

    • @omorsebrown
      @omorsebrown 2 роки тому

      Ok I might try that. My original question was about stopping the air escaping from your lungs. If everything is relaxed in your body, which muscle do you use? Is it best with throat, lips, tongue? There is a lot of pressure when you are completely full of air!

    I don't feel contractions does it mean that I'm not pushing myself enough?

    • @KAIZENFREEDIVING

      So, what is normally the reason, why you stop holding the breath?

    Можно ли совмещать два вида тренировок? Например один день - таблицу без сокращений, а другой день one breath таблицу.

    • @KAIZENFREEDIVING
      @KAIZENFREEDIVING  4 роки тому

      В принципе да. Можно так - понед/сред/пятница без контракций, вторник/четв с одним вдохом. Суб/воскр выходной (или растяжка дыхательных мыщц)

      I would still recommend to have a days off, even from this table, to avoid monotony

    Using my BreatheEasy Lung Exerciser I’ve made tremendous improvements in my breathing capacity and endurance. Additionally, I now always breathe through my nose and hold my breath with empty lungs for as long as I can to trigger an increase in red blood cells.
    I’ve seen my energy/libido increase, my outlook on life be bright and my sleep is deeper. My sinuses also stay clear due to the nose breathing. At night I tape my mouth gently shut to prevent mouth breathing. I’m truly grateful I got my breathing fixed!

      Looks like an ad piggybacking on someone’s video......do the world record holders use this equipment ? Or maybe a power breather even? Honest questions not taking the piss
