- While at CCXP Mexico City, House of the Dragon's Eve Best (Princess Rhaenys Targaryen) Ewan Mitchell (Prince Aemond Targaryen), Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon) and Tom Glynn-Carney (King Aegon II Targaryen) revealed new details about Season 2 and what fans can expect when the hit MAX series returns next month.
As Season 2 of House of the Dragon approaches, everyone must choose a side in the forthcoming war between the Greens and the Blacks. The members in and around House Targaryen all have their reasons for supporting the ascent of either Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) or Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) to the Iron Throne, whether it be a genuine belief that their side possesses the rightful ruler or that they stand to gain something from their victory. Regarding House Velaryon, Steve Toussaint believes their choice is because Lord Corlys thinks he's doing the right thing by helping Rhaenyra. He detailed why the Velaryons are in this fight and how they're convinced to fight for the Blacks...

Forgives but doesn’t forget? lol I don’t think he did either. But he definitely did forget that he was no innocent in that fight. They shouldn’t have started it but he didn’t even try to understand why the girls would be so hurt since their mom had just died and he went straight to cruel ass insults to them and the boys and it was him that was trying to bash a little boys head in that got his eye slashed! Hes the reason it really went from kids beating eachother up to life altering injuries.

Nope. Rhaenyra has been wasting her time on Dragonstone with her bastards. The Red Keep has been ruled by the Greens for years now, and they deserve to continue to do so.
They have every symbol that shouts "Targaryen"
