- It has been tough to find things lately, but between laying cover for snakes in the spring I have been finding some salamanders and frogs. The next video you see will most likely take place in North Carolina, as I will be making my way down to Georgia. There should be some good content coming soon!

Still some great finds, I always enjoy the scenery shots. great vid.
Thanks!
Man, winters producing some really cool species for you! I haven’t been finding anything other than twolineds, redbacks, and the occasional green frog.
Hopefully, turtles will be basking on the warmer days in February.
Agreed! definitely prefer warmer weather though
@@WillRobertsonsWildlife Oh yeah, definitely. Can’t wait until May, so I can go and find some milks!
Thx for sharing another Winter vid, Will! Sweet subadult Reds. Pick’s are always cool. Wow; from cold to colder! ❄️
Thanks!
Haven’t seen you before but you deserve 1 million by the end of 2022
Nice finds. New subscriber from the Philly area 👍🏼
Wish we had salamanders here in Australia - be a fantasy one day to lift up a rock and make a discovery!
I found a southern red salamander today 😊
Great advice on the salmanders I will go find some and one spotted salamander
Just Ambystoma laterale for a brief rain. And like 2. It was also on a railroad by the breeding pools.
Went looking the other day but needed more rain
@@WillRobertsonsWildlife the rain turned into snow. Everything was shortlived lol
@@WillRobertsonsWildlife well as expected march blew up with various amphibians. A pretty hefty list too.
Could feel that cold, no thank you. Jealous of those sallys you always find.
Thanks man, should be seeing warmer weather soon enough
@@WillRobertsonsWildlife 70's here, just waiting for that rain
@@smetlogik Damn, thats nice
Nice I keep forgetting that America is in winter right now
Kinda, here in AZ we're heading into spring.
@@smetlogik Up North though we are in the middle of it
The editing made me fail a drug test. I miss the northeast's salamanders, but I definitely don't miss the weather. Really looking forward to seeing what sals you turn up in NC.
Haha thanks man, im gonna keep trying to spice up the editing. I think Sandhills Eurycea is the goal, along with muds and whatever else I can turn up
K... That's nuts. I was walking on those rocks earlier... And the salamanders were under my feet the entire time... Wow. I found 1 eastern newt red s. I'm blown away.. my original mission was to collect clay. To find and identify clay out in the wilderness. Holy s***... That's a lot of amphibians that I had absolutely no idea where they're in the first place. I'm a student of Bushcraft, and several other subjects including microchips uC, barebones electronics... And I'm heavily interested in military and scouting and learning about the world I live in.. but yeah I'm learning about my Eastern Newt red s, and it's pretty cool that they can survive in cold temperatures or cold.. seeing as hell that I was down in Florida for 15 years and could just snatch up lizards right off the walls and stuff down there.. but up here (NYS) it's interesting.. tnx a million for the video.. learned of food sources because of you.. if I ever needed it for survival in the future. tnx.
+1, 140
Their presence is easy to find
I like salamanders and frogs where do you live so I can come and catch them
I feel your pain man.
Where'd all the adult sals go?

hello, I'm from Indonesia, I wish I had one or two to keep, but can salamanders be kept?
I let go everything I find, but from my understanding salamanders can be somewhat difficult to keep
@@WillRobertsonsWildlife Thanks for telling about this ☺️
@@WillRobertsonsWildlife salamanders are pretty easy to keep. Most aquatic salamanders like azolotls and stuff are more difficult.
