  • Thanks for joining us in this episode.
    So after doing a successful sea trial in our second hand inflatable boat project we set out for our first adventure, a cook up on the beach.
    We launched the boat from one of our favourite slipways, Baiter park in poole. We headed out through the harbour past the chain ferry to Harry’s rock and around the cliffs to swanage.
    We moored up to a bouy for a a quick snack. After about an hour soaking up the sun we set off to have our cook up on the beach.
    The boat seemed unusually full of water.
    On our arrival at the beach we discovered a hole in the front of the boat that was letting water in………….
    Tune in for part 2 to find out the drama that unfolded after we stopped filming.
    Thanks for watching and I hope you would consider subscribing so you don’t miss out on future episodes.

    Hi mate, i live in poole and love watching your videos. I've had boats all of my life to enjoy our beautiful harbour and surrounding areas and they all have things that go wrong. Keep your chin up mate and plough through the problems. It will all be worth it on a lovely sunny day enjoying your boat making memories.👍

    Another good video buddy! Sorry to hear about your troubles but like I say previously- don’t be disheartened, we are an awesome community who always wanna help each other. You’ll be back on the water in no time! Also love the aerial shots of the Swanage beach etc, and a great view of the remains of the old pier too. I love Swanage so I can’t wait to do my first trip from Poole harbour or Wareham round to Old Harry and on to Swanage 🙂

    Love your videos, great editing and laid back presenting style. Fantastic to see someone else enjoying the same playground as me, gives another perspective and seeing more places to visit.
    Our boat is not a SIB or RIB but at only 4.6M is about the same size. We launch on the River Frome near Wareham then into Poole Harbour and Studland bay. I've posted a few videos but I haven't got your presenting skills. We'll keep an eye at for you, would be great to see you out there soon. Subscribed and looking forward to Part 2.

    Automobile windshield glue should fix your problem. You can get leftovers at a car glass shop for free.

    the engine is too low in the water mate that is why it spits water into the boat. you need to get a transom riser and it will be perfect. the cavitation plate should be level wit h the bottom of the hull. you can get some product to re seal the floor again mate. annoying you are repairing so quickly after buying it new but like you say thats boating

      Who knows, you might be right. I think it’s just the glue that failed on the boat. Apparently they are common for this problem. Oh well an easy fix hopefully!

      Sounds great, thanks for the offer but I’m not in the market for another boat at the moment. I’m running out of storage space🥴 sound like a great deal and I’m sure you’ll have no problems moving it on at that price👍. I really appreciate you thinking of me❤️

    Glued seams appear to be a problem on these Honwaves. I know of 2 that have had to be scrapped. I hope your problem is just that small area.
    Ive just bought a Yam 310 air floor. Very similar to the Honwave 3.2. It has a design flaw where the transom isnt high enough for the short shaft Yamaha outboard. The result is that the outboard runs too deep forcing a jet of water up under the outboard and over the stern - sounds like you are also having this problem. Im very disappointed and the Yamaha dealer basically doesnt care.

    • @Budgee197
      @Budgee197  Рік тому

      Sorry to here your disappointment with your new boat, it’s soul destroying when you’ve invested your money!
      Ask a few questions on some Facebook group pages and people have probably seen your problem hundreds of times. I’m sure there is a quick fix for it.
      Apparently you can use wood as a spacer to raise the engine height, I might give that a try on mine. If I do I’ll post a video on it to help others!

    • @jamesdavis8425
      @jamesdavis8425 Рік тому +1

      @@Budgee197 I've been experimenting with spacers and they actually do solve the problem - unfortunately I now worry the outboard clamps are too close to the top of the transom. Not really good enough for a brand new Yamaha outfit.
      The Yam is also fairly rare in UK so don't seem to find much online about them. I think i will just have to live with it.
      Anyway I've subbed and binged watched all your videos - looking forward to the next one. 😀

      I had the same problem when i bought my used honwave 3.5 equipped with a long shaft 20 hp 4 stroke Tohatsu. I built a transom riser using a block of wood for hight , 2 stainless steel 2 mm thick sheet metal plates and 4 stainless steel bars 25mm wide x5mm thick . Bolted everything together like a sanwich through the transom with 8x 8mm bolts nuts, flat washers and silicone. That raised the outbord 12 cm and it`s still fastened on the original plastic grabbing plates, inspite of the added thickness. Now it performs much better than before. No more rouster tailing, no more scrapping the bottom and a much smoother ride.
