- The stay came mere hours before Robert Roberson was poised to become the first person in the U.S. executed for a murder conviction linked to shaken baby syndrome.
If he's innocent, he should be released.
anyone who trusts the system, never had to
Thank God. Just the fact that it's at all possible he's innocent should have been an automatic stay.
Agreed.
Not in good ole Texas
Thank u lord amen
Roberson is 100% innocent! He had undiagnosed autism-the reason why he was so unemotional after his daughter’s death!
I'm surprised they issued a stay. Maybe they can.prove his innocense.
Thanks be to God!!
Meanwhile an innocent man was killed in Missouri.
Yep, unfortunately, that's an unfortunate reality in the "good ol" USA. The death penalty was briefly abolished in the 70s, and it should've stayed that way. Should've been kept in the history books.
I’m confused. Another news station says the Texas Supreme Court was not the one who issues the stay (a different judge did). Which is accurate?
A state judge initially paused it, but was shot down by the appeals committee (or whatever group has the authority), prompting the TX Supreme Court to supersede their decision
@@dragon2-334 Thanks
Has a prosecuting attorney ever tried to stay an execution?
Change his sentence to life imprisonment. No-one should be executed on the basis of potentially flawed and circumstancial medical theories
If he was black he would have been gone in texas
Facts yet majority of the white population defending a child killer by saying he innocent.
Facts.
Of course your going to bring up race...if he innocent race shouldn't come into play
Yeah but he isn't. Stop making this a race thing.
Yep, they just executed a black man who was innocent. The laws were never meant to protect black people
Are they going to do ticket refunds because I had really good seats?
Missouri by the way
Innocent or not.. we will all face the same god and pay for our sins! All sins under God we will be judge by him and him only!!!
Amen.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
[13]Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.
[14]For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.
Bring back Old Sparky.......
Praise God
Amen 🙏
Why doesn't anyone care about the dead baby? She didn't get a 2nd chance. What is wrong with people?
He is Caucasian therefore he must be innocent in the eyes of Caucasians.
The child had illnesses. Read up dweeb.
the baby may not have been murdered. It may have been an illness. This is not a 2nd chance it would be justice if he is innocent
More evidence points to the fact the baby was sick.
He killed someone 😡
He is innocent! Read all the documentation about his case on the Innocence Project.
@@elaineb4729only he knows if he's innocent. Almost every one in prison claim their innocent. He may be innocent but then again he may be guilty.
@@kevinchambers1101most times I'd 100% agree with you!! Lol.. if I was in Prison for whatever reason, I'd claim my innocence too.. haha, But in this case, he truly is innocent..
@@kevinchambers1101No this man is innocent. There have been more innocent people put in prison and sentenced to death than most realize. It’s estimated only 3-6% are innocent but considering how many people are behind bars, 3-6% is a LOT of people. If you’d watched all the true crime shows I’ve watched and seen how they’ll lock people up with solely circumstantial evidence, you’d be more likely to comprehend how this can easily happen. I just pray it never happens to someone I love. I think handing down life sentences to guilt free people is just as horrific as the murdered victims. I’d rather be dead myself, than to be locked away for something I didn’t do.
@@NoUseForAName0626 I can't say he's innocent but I believe there is enough evidence to stay his execution and have his case investigated again. Again, only he knows whether he is innocent or not. You're believing he is does not prove his innocence.
They killed that black brother
The usual 13%
@@markdi2 "They always play the race card"
@@anthonyrowland9072 why y’all brought them here then complain? Go back to where all of you came from

Race card or the uncomfortable truth?
It’s only fair and reasonable if there is new evidence to bring it to light!
