      Yep, unfortunately, that's an unfortunate reality in the "good ol" USA. The death penalty was briefly abolished in the 70s, and it should've stayed that way. Should've been kept in the history books.

    I’m confused. Another news station says the Texas Supreme Court was not the one who issues the stay (a different judge did). Which is accurate?

    • @dragon2-334
      @dragon2-334 10 годин тому +2

      A state judge initially paused it, but was shot down by the appeals committee (or whatever group has the authority), prompting the TX Supreme Court to supersede their decision

      @@kevinchambers1101No this man is innocent. There have been more innocent people put in prison and sentenced to death than most realize. It’s estimated only 3-6% are innocent but considering how many people are behind bars, 3-6% is a LOT of people. If you’d watched all the true crime shows I’ve watched and seen how they’ll lock people up with solely circumstantial evidence, you’d be more likely to comprehend how this can easily happen. I just pray it never happens to someone I love. I think handing down life sentences to guilt free people is just as horrific as the murdered victims. I’d rather be dead myself, than to be locked away for something I didn’t do.
