myself and three friends all bought and started playing this today. this guide was exactly what I was looking for to be able to tell them all what we can do with our stock of extra supplies! thank you!
To the noobs it may concern, I have written a book for you;
I've had great luck by collecting absolutely everything I can root out, and I root out _everything,_ I strip the land clean wherever I go, all ammo, items, weapons and attachments as well as collecting every scrap of loot from all enemies. Once I fill up my inventory I go to a safehouse and recycle everything I don't use (which is not a large list, I use 7.62, 9mm smg, .50 cal and rockets, the rest is recycled, and I only keep health items and lockpicks, no flares or grenades or explosives or radios or anything, it all goes into the recycle bin). Five star attachments (and guns) are an incredible source for resources, only keep one of each item you need per gun and scrap the rest, you'll get loads of tungsten, aluminum and titanium from them.
Only keep a few guns. It's normal to want at least one of each gun but you'll learn that there are only a few effective weapons, the only good sniper is the PVG so scrap the rest, keeping a pistol is pointless so I always scrap them unless it's an experimental, the AI-76 is the only normal assault rifle worth keeping, the Kpist is the best SMG (though the HP5 isn't too bad, it's your preference between either but I recommend only keeping one). Minimize your arsenal, at least once you start maxing your inventory and storage, keep as much as you want in the early stages I guess but later on you should only have a few experimentals and five stars in your Plundra, weapons take up a lot of weight that could be used for ammo and health packs.
My main source of copper is 5.56 AP which I don't use, you can pick between 7.62 or 5.56 if you like one over the other but recycle everything of the other, your copper supplies will skyrocket.
Don't use any EMP devices until you get a good stash of electrolyte (a couple dozen), recycling them will be your ultimate source of it. Search every car hood you come across, they sometimes have car battery EMPs in them and are a great source of it.
Wood is also a precious resource and should be prioritized when cutting back on weight in your storage, a good stash of six to seven hundred (same with textile) should be built up before attempting the base building missions and keep collecting more, after the initial expenditure of building it you will then have repair costs associated with each run which can reach into the hundreds of points of wood if you don't keep the robots busy.
There is a single unit of tungsten (along with a few chunks of steel and a roll of copper) laying on the ground at the base building mission area, laying at the very edge of a pile of rubble next to the burning generator sitting on a concrete pad, it respawns every hour and if you're dedicated you can collect many a day. I've added three times the amount of tungsten to my inventory in three days than I had from a month and a half of collecting loot the normal way (I'm at 84 as of right now), and since I've been spamming my region score in the forest region to make the mission start every hour and spawn reapers at the same time, I'm there every hour on the hour, collecting it has become routine and easy.
Several of the crafting components are much more common than others, so since I just blindly dump my personal inventory into the recycle station I have to occasionally take some back to dump on the ground so I have some room. So keeping a balance of components is important. I've found that keeping a maximum of 600 of textile, rubber, adhesive, explosive, steel, plastic, thread and aluminum allows room for everything else less common that still leaves a comfortable barrier of materials for crafting in between loot sessions and enough space for later loot dumps. I'm working on making a table listing the perfect ratio of what materials to keep because the 600 max is just a ballpark that seems to sort of work, but that's going to take a little while.
I hope this advice helps, Generation Zero is a ton of fun but it's difficulty and steep learning curve put some people off, having info like this would have saved me dozens of hours of grief lol.
May I just say this is a decent outline on how to manage inventory and what to do with resources. I might add that some players aren't as far along and the best way to manage inventory, is to not manage it but pick it up on another character at a spawn location that is next to a box. That way you just grab everything that you can and store it, when it's full go to the safehouse that spawns you next to the storage box and change characters. When you need something like crafting materials or ammo, just switch over and deposit some.
I joined a multiplayer game yesterday and there were 3 other players there. The Reaper had spawned at the Airfield and they asked me if I wanted to fight the Reaper. One of the players also gave me the experimental 50 BMG and AG4 rifle!
Got my first Reaper yesterday. Was scary but very fun too!
I really needed this, thank you! Now I can make tons more ammo ^-^
Keep it up !!!
i personally like doing field radios dismantling, if you want a Guarantee field radio drop the 1st bunker you come across run to the bike - go to the soccer field its respawns after every Quit to Menu.. average pickup time is 2min. on the 2 hour refresh the Dogs and 1-2 seeker will spawn. occasionally 1 hunter
Second quick pickup Quit to Menu spawn are Sticky flares in the 1st Farm you get as a safehouse after 1st church.. in the Available house in the back room to the past the kitchen/bedroom on the right (laundry) 3 sticky flares will spawn. Run time 1 min.. for quick textile adhesive and plastic if you need to build your stockpile up on Med kit.
3rd (requires) lock picking to be unlock on your skill sheet. the 1st bunker town you come 2 House Next to the Military Tank ___ story Prop___ upstairs there's a room worth unlocking... You will find a good handful of Flares and Fireworks.
4th Second Church Directly across from you'll find a House ___ hunter usually guarding it___ you'll a Handful of flares. at the bottom of the staircase.
All of these work on quit to menu there are others in the game if you spend enough time testing runs out you'll find them :D
Can you do a video on Advance Schematics that you have found off the Rivals Please. ... Wondering how high the cost goes up vs the Output. If wondering i am a Stealth Hacker build since they fix the bug about hacking...
Nice to know and improve my knowledge of crafting materials in game. Just to let you know that you mentioned Harvesters twice. Thanks again!
great video as always
been meaning to asked
how was your little girl first Christmas & new years
my little girl first Christmas was 22 years ago so..enjoy it goes fast
Thanks mate and it was awesome thankyou, she had more fun with wrapping paper than her toys 😂 oh mate i know they grow uo so fast!
@@WIREDGAMING lol Awesome my man
I really needed this fr fr bc me and my friends have been playing this game for two weeks now and it’s our first time playing this game and we really needed tips and tricks so thank you for this video
Out of all the guides on here this is the one that had actually what I needed you get a like pal
Thanks mate glad it helped 😁
They need to up the Crafting storage.
it going to happen.. :D base on when the XBOX gets the resistance update. shortly after that they plan on having a Upgrading tier system for the the Storage and Recycle Station____ wood steel and adhesive if i remember the post correctly.
Still waiting...
@@garex1939 you waited long enough!
Your guides for this game is a Godsend. Thank you so much
Great vid as usual👍
How do you get many adrenalin shots easily. I've played the game since release and have probably gotten around 60 in total.
I farm the himjfall hotel theres 2 in there then fast travel out of the region and back they respawn. Once yoyve done it a few times it takes about 25-30 seconds
@@WIREDGAMING Thx I saw your video about it.
I actually found a faster way to get them but it requires field radios and lockpicking.
Go to FOA 4 on Himfjäll. There are two barracks with poisonous barrels in them and inside tose barracks there are in total 6 shots. take them then fasttravel to yttervik and get the adrenalin shot in the kitchen, go back and repeat.
From this you get 27 adrenalin shots from only one field radio and if you have one of the specializations you could alomost double that.
you can also go trough one radio in about five minutes making it extremely fast.
It's also likely that you find field radios at the bunker.
I just scrape AP rounds for the pistols, SMGs and Snipers. My AK is 4 Star and it tears hunters and harvesters apart with FMJ. AP is common and if you want, you can find the Granatgevar 5Star and the HEDP schematic. You can be a self functional Artillery Piece.
Is squating 3rd person just a way to start these vids for generations zero
I scrap experimentals for parts since I have like 50 off each experimental
I wanna ask how much time do you have in the game? For me i destroyed around 40 rivals and only got an experimental ag4. Did it take around the same amount of time for you or faster?
I was wondering the same thing
you already got an exp from that, if you need all of the exp's farm the reaper
Iv got about 500 hours so far and it took me about a week before i got my first experimental
@@WIREDGAMING Really? I played for about 60 hours and I haven't seen one yet! I'm around level 28 though.
I have been playing for 70 hours now, and currently i have found 6 experimentals
i would love to see a video update !
I think I've probably played too much Fallout 4 but I find that the requirements to dismantle bulks of equipment to just not be worth it. Considering you have to have so many in a bulk only to receive so few units of resources is just not worth it's weight in your inventory.
I’m late to the party here but instead of holding onto the equipment until I get 10, I just dump all but 1 or 2 of an item into the stash at safehouses. Keeps my inventory open and I still build up a stockpile in the stash. Once I actually need the resources, then I’ll just grab the stack of equipment and take it straight to the recycling table
Ty very helpful and easy to follow
me and friend playing this. we upgraded his storage 3 lvls mine 2. 5 hours playing we never got 1 single piece of copper......... so HERE I AM. and now i see whhere we got the 12 pieces before. obviously i dismantled soemthing lol. we had no clue where things came from and we hoard most everything we get as long as its not duplicate weapon. now i know to scrap junk ammo etcs ty so much.....
PS for what looks like simple run and gun game this game is pretty complex. looting- crafting etc. i wont say its greastest game out there. but for the money its good fun. sadly we only get 4-5 hours a week in, i can see we will be playing while if we want to beat it.
Awesome dude glad it helps !
Yeah it's definitely a little more complex than it looks on the surface, glad your enjoying it though dude !
Ok this idea is the F04 class hunter this versión will be again bigger and stronger than the apocalypse hunter
Ths version will have a jet pack it will only fly when its in low health or when its chasing after you it will also have
2 snipers on its back and a mortar its machine gun will have higher firerate and when it dies it will not blow up
But gas will be around its body and a gas mask will not help.
I can't find a red dot sight greater than 3 crowns 😮💨 I even cleared the map of rivals and have ransacked all the towns... and nothing.
Just got the new Tactical Equipment dlc, but I can't craft anything except Portable Walls and Molotovs. I really like the Explosive Dog Toy lure, but I can't get any copper. And the Remote Control Explosive needs electrolyte. Flares and fireworks have copper, but I can't dismantle them. Based on your suggestions, I may have to recycle emp batteries and those heavy explosive shells
You just gotta farm like mad dude !!
Dismantle everything, greys to purps. Keep only weapons that you need. Need, not want to try out. You can replace those other weapons later.
I farmed too much. Now I have way to many resources except for the really rare one like Uranium
WIRED GAMING I have a question, when you reach max level do you not get anymore XP? Cause I've been max level for five days now and haven't gotten any at all
Unfortunately not bud but hopefully they'll increase the level cap soon!
Thank that is so helpful :-)
Ashots dont give electro anymore. It gives accelerent.
Not sure if you still respond here, but where do I get aluminum? Cant seem to find any? Im level 7 and need my stash box upgrade as i cant loot anything anymore
You can get aluminum from killing tanks and harvesters, but I would recommend getting a few better weapons and ammo before you go hunting :)
@tomtom3781 thanks for the reply! I had trouble with crashes so was waiting for the hotfix to hit consoles, will definitely go hunting soon!
Have you managed to get all five star clothing blueprints? they're such a grind
Not even close mate 😂 there's so many 😂
Im having a very hard time finding thread. It only comes in stacks of 6 and I only occasionally find it in houses and those lunch boxes. Any tips on that?
Unfortunately thats the best way to get it other than dismantling meds
You didn't mention Uranium? You get Uranium as a reward for completing base defense missions.
Yeah this was done before uranium came out bud
Hey, does anyone know the pants and shirt he's using in the video? I haven't played the game in 4 months and couple on my friends got it for Christmas so I'm getting back into it
Its the FOA outfit you can get it from the reaper
Ok this may be obvious for most players, but what are the resources needed to dismantle things. Iron, xp?
You don't need resources to dismantle things, but you get them for dismantling certain items!
How do you actually get the experimental weapons? Are they from rivals on the hardest difficulty?
yes from rivals, have to be level 25 and I know you don't have to be on high difficult you can be on the lowest
@@spike736 Cheers mate thanks for the reply :) Any type of machine rivals, or does it not matter?
@@wolowizard4441 no worries, not really sure I farmed apocalypse on adventure rivals level 4 tank's and harvester's
@@spike736 ah I only have 2 harvester rivals and they’re FNIX :( what guns did you get then from doing you that?
@@wolowizard4441 answer 13 hours later my bad, experimental kvg59 & kvg90 I think thats what there called, all rivals should give ya something I would think so anyways
I know theres a decent chance you wont read this but can you do an updated version cuz theres been a lot of updates lately
I was going to comment something similar. The adrenaline hardly gives anything anymore.
What are the resources you need to dismantle things i just know you need resources but what are those if you could tell me please
You dont need resources to dismantle but you need a lot to craft ammo
So your advice for fast crafting is farming materials? We do that anyway... from generally playing the game
please im suffering someone tell me how i get required resources to dismantle things
No uranium?
i got uranium and i can use it to craft experimental slugs... but i need 1 more uranium
Time to start farmin adrenalin again.... copper always plays hard to get
Oh man the adrenaline grind is tough 😂
Fireworks and flares have copper, but I don't know why I can't disassemble them
I just wanna ask.....
What electrolyte used for?
Mainly for emp rockets bud, but hopefully more in the future
Jack Sparrow voice😁.
i cant collect mats as i am always over the weight limit which sucks.
Just dump a load of ammo mate and remove a chunk of steel as you find it everywhere so no need to horde
what do you use the tungsten for
tho
I think its for crafting certain ammo types or high end schematics
Hi
Hey man
What about concrete for building?
You get it through base defence and base assault missions
why did you leave out urainum?
Uranium wasnt in the game when it was made, working on a new more up to date version
@@WIREDGAMING where do I find it it's the only thing I need to get that I can't find
@@WIREDGAMING how do you locate the convoy do you have to do all the waves of robots at your base I know there is a fed icon on my base or do you just have to do the hard one or is it something different all together
How do you get uranium though
Through the base building mission
Missing URANIUM 😜😜😜😜
I know i know 😂it wasn't in the game when this was made, working on a more up to date one!
I need copper so bad 😂!
Farm and then Dismantle old ammo
Tungsten is hard to get for me
Im working on a new material guide so, hopefully it helps
whats the easiest way to get textiles?
From bags around the map 👍
where to get uranium?
Through the wave defence missions in the forest region
Are you BREAKFAST, from PS4?
No I don't have the game on PlayStation, do we sound similar ?
how to get uranium?
Through base defence and base assault missions dude
This video is outdated!!
