Rebecca Creek released both a cask strength 12 year and a non-cask strength 12 year a few years ago. MGP juice. Both were delicious, and I think within only about 10 proof of each other. Oddly, I found the non cask strength to be better. I've got a couple of bottles of the cask strength around here somewhere. The other I couldn't keep my hands off of before I moved from San Antonio.
Unfortunately they no longer make this bottle. Tough to find 12 year MGP at such a good price. There are a couple bottles still floating around San Antonio, I picked one up this weekend for $90. IMO their best bottle is the double barrel spanish oak.
Best bourbon review channel, hands down! Also, you and Jeremy Siers are the only two channels that review bourbon and also seem to care about the aesthetic quality of your videos. It's a very nice touch!
Now that was a fun review and you had me at "thick". The 640 homie on the sofa almost through me but I'm glad I battled and did not let it deter me. I want a bottle too.
Well. I would recommend you meeting up with whiskey row (Jamie & David) as they are in your sphere of influence, and you all travel in similar circles. Live, and take on the day. 👊🧂🇺🇸
Pretty sure it's MGP's 21% rye bourbon, with MGP's aging conditions explaining the low proof of a 12-year cask-strength whiskey. I think that release is from 2021 or 2022, though. It won't be easy to find a sealed bottle out there at this point. FWIW original SRP was something like 85 bones but there's no way a 12-year age-stated MGP cask strength offering would go for less than 140 in 2024, right?
Hello from Texas! Cheers. This is MGP juice aged in Texas. (facts!) As the story goes Rebecca Creek started sourcing High Rye MGP juice in 2010. (New make to 4 year old barrels) Back then it was a new distillery figuring things out. This bottles started showing up around 2022-till present times in very small batches. I picked up a 12 year bottle last year for $90 bucks. They released a 16 year @ $220. And they also have other 4-5 year MGP offerings aged and double barrel in Texas (1-2years) for around $50-$60 that are worth the try. I have not tried their own distillate yet.... what a shame! maybe I should (and I call myself a Texan?!!)
Partially correct. These were released in 2020. This is MGP juice completely aged in Indiana other than the little while they were in TX before being bottled. The 16 year was this same lot aged in Texas for the remaining 4 years. This was told to me by the master distiller at the 16 year release back in 2022.
Great job Matt! Really love my Rebecca Creek Double Barrel Spanish Oak 🥃🥃

It is one of the best 12 yr low rye MGP that I’ve had. They also have some 16 yr single barrels that are great
You need to try the Rebecca creek double Spanish oak, great pour!!

Hey Matt, if your still looking for a bottle, I just saw two bottles of the Cask Strength in a Denver store this Sat.
...I bought one of them. 😎
Would you mind sharing the store name? I’m in Denver and would love to get a bottle.
Love the Belmo reference lol
Awesome...gonna try to find one...
I have enjoyed all of the Rebecca Creek versions I've had! Cheers!
I recognized the sample bottle!
I think Fluff’s picture adorns the label on the BiB spring rye from Still Austin 😉
That was a run reaction/review. How do we send you local stuff to try? 😋 Got a PA bottle or two in my arsenal..

I like to guess off of what you say, and I guessed it being an 8.3. Was close!
With him being such a balla', you should consider having Bill Cavanaugh on the show one day!
Unicorn Auctions has had this bottle on their last few auctions.

I thought it was MGP aged in Texas right?
It is/was
Matt, what is your bowling league average? And do you enjoy a nice pour whilst throwing that 16 pounder (or 15 pounder)?
