Hey, all - sorry for the late notice. No Progression Playoffs this week. Gavin's moving across the country and I am at serious risk of burning out, so we're gonna come back next week with some hot Gladiatorial action.

Flunds are weak to just about every meta handtrap (Droll, Lancea, and Gamma Effects being their main problems) AND Spell/Trap Based Destruction/Disruption (ALL) on the play, and when on the draw they need powerful staples themselves to get out of the bind and/or their opponent to misplay. ....But that doesn't necessarily make them BAD, as the same problems can be said for virtually any deck now in days. A few things to note. A bit of a long post to help anyone interested in playing the deck. Hand traps like Nib and Gamma hurt you more than the opponent in most cases. Instead you should consider things like Droplets, Imperm, or DRNM for breaking boards when going second. Consider adding Pot of Prosperity or Avarice to draw into hand traps. Prosperity can also unbrick hands, but bricks are kinda rare for this deck. Avarice can recycle your cards and get a free draw. Do not run Extravagance. Prosperity gives you control of the banishes mitigating the risk of losing vital combo pieces. Instead of a 6k Arrival a better end board is to either end on Cyberse Quantum and a 4k Arrival or Cyberse Quantum, Avraham, and Linguriboh. Both are a 1 card combo. You really only need 1 or 2 A.I.Land but a third can come clutch sometimes. If running a single copy of A.I.Contact for a searchable Graceful Charity.
In defence of the birds, they do have multiple ways to get extra normal summons on top of the already existing double summon spell, so it is a bit of an exaggeration to say that they flat out die to a single hand trap. I really like running Gussari. If they are trying to attack over an arrival cyberse with 4000 atk with a gren maju or something you can banish gussari and make their monster 3000.

This thumbnail is top tier. They threw the whole kitchen at this card just to make a.i playable meanwhile all Ninjas need is an extender that doesn't lock them out the extra deck.
This deck is easy to hate out, the underworld goddess link5 also gets arrival off the board and you don't need to draw it. Also the best combos need Dark Templar to summon 3 via Infant sliding over, which only works in one of the two EMZs. Which means going 2nd if you opponent can as much as summon Almiraj it'll set you back. (Bonus points because the deck lacks non-'destroy' removal)
I play 2 A.I. Lands rather than 3, 3 Parallel Exceed, 2 A.Idle Reborns, 3 Pikari, 1 Doyon, 3 Achichi, 1 Bururu, and I'm considering playing at least 1 Hiyari to accompany the Doshin I already play. I can recommend Primathmech Alberdian as a Rank 4 extender to search for Mathmech Substraction. Other than that, I play 3 Solemn Strikes but I might change them for something like Gamma and Driver
Isn't Doshin @Ignister a freebie as well? On top of that, it recycles your links as well as giving you access to their (admittedly not great) Super Poly-esque fusion spell
I feel like Flundereeze is going to be REALLY good as a secondary engine inside some other deck that can patch up after a disruption. On paper, their stuff is really damn strong.
Flundereeze lock out all special summons if you use their effects, before and after, so unless you're playing normal summon the deck, they're literally normal monsters.
The cons of this deck is that your extra deck is limited to 15 cards. If you could have like 30 card you could extend to huge boards instead of just a massive The Arrival Cyberse @ignister but there's so many links you have to use to use to climb higher up the chain. If there was a way to get to Dark Templar with less steps consistently you could take out some of the steps because his effect is the best way to make the big boi but as is you use up so many extra deck slots that you're only getting to him.
I'm glad they felt the need to humiliate the female lead both with a deck that still doesn't exist, and one that wasn't playable until long after the show ended. Thank you, Yoshida.
He wasn't wrong. Eldlich cards was and still bad. It was tier 1 because of jet synchron and utopic zexal. Once those cards ( and linkross ) got banned, the deck became trash and no one played it.
one thing I want to say about the Flundereeze match is that a lot of people are playing best case lists chock full of 1 of garnets which occasionally make your board better or are focused on also having backrow in a deck that doesn´t need it, in order for this deck to preform well outside of an online single is by playing stuff like chain summoning as handtrap insurance and maxing out on the field spell.
While Arrival is good you can definitely make boards that hate kaiju less. I've done Avramax (you can make this with Masq but I haven't cuz she's not in my build) + Quantum + Light Dragon, Topologic Bomber Dragon + Light Dragon (i gotta look at a replay i did to see how i did it) + set reborn so you can revive Doyon and nuke while also getting an ignister back. Like you said the boards you can make are pretty diverse and those aren't even the best examples of boards I could make Enough rambling tho, good video
Protip for this deck: going for a 4-material Arrival and using a level 4 plus Bururu to make Cyberse Quantum Dragon is a better end board than a 6-material Arrival nine times out of ten. Quantum makes your boards even harder to deal with because of the battle immunity. Some early builds would actually experiment with playing Cyberse Witch, Cyberse Magician, and Cynet Ritual because Hiyari can search Magician and having Magician and Quantum both on the field makes it so that your opponent cannot declare attacks on or target any of your monsters.
To be fair flunderfatrol has a bit of consistency issue (especially the play that lets you get through ash), but once it goes off, it goes off real hard... Also while it has a 800/1000 that can add a 2800/1000 monster, it conflicts with monarch real hard since it prevents the user from special summonning almost all the time :'v Also yea it loses to wind kaiju(?) and droll
Isn't there stronger lines of play involving transcode talker aswell as and end board of quantum dragon protected by gatchiri 4 mat arrival plus linguriboh
as much as i love this deck (it's my main deck), if it couldn't be tributed it would be insane. You can reliably get a 6 mat arrival cyberse in a single turn with most combinations like... Achichi + AI Reborn opener for example. Then you just have to worry about a link 4 Accesscode, Borrelsword, or Avramax. a few cards like Starving Venom Fusion Dragon etc can also technically kill Arrival Cyberse but if you have Danmari in the graveyard they get negated and die
"Hiyari is the only level 4 or lower free special summon" forgot about Doshin huh? (dw he sucks anyways but still lol) Also, 6 Material Arrival is a bleh end goal. Focusing on Quantum+4K Arrival is way more resilient. ALSO, no Elphase. Jesus Christ no Edit: I’m on the Ignister Discord that Omm is also a member of, the choices of Elphase and focusing on Arrival were pure MBT and Omm explained to him better cards/plays

Isn't this the dude that said Eldlich wasn't good?
You think it is?
He wasn't wrong. Eldlich cards was and still bad.
It was tier 1 because of jet synchron and utopic zexal. Once those cards ( and linkross ) got banned, the deck became trash and no one played it.
one thing I want to say about the Flundereeze match is that a lot of people are playing best case lists chock full of 1 of garnets which occasionally make your board better or are focused on also having backrow in a deck that doesn´t need it, in order for this deck to preform well outside of an online single is by playing stuff like chain summoning as handtrap insurance and maxing out on the field spell.
Good luck activating chain summoning, buddy!
@@ziadnabil403 Chain link 1 flundereeze effect, cl2 handtrap, cl 3 chain summoning
@@canttellyousorryaboutthat716 But then you have to draw a big bird.
@@ziadnabil403 They are likely going to gamma/ash a robina, not a eagle
@@canttellyousorryaboutthat716 So, if they ash the robina to need the eagle and the field spell to extend? Sounds impossible.
Playing around Nubiru with zero cards in oponnent's hand. Lol.
Like you said the boards you can make are pretty diverse and those aren't even the best examples of boards I could make
Enough rambling tho, good video
I know I'm late on this but Rivalry combats the "Loses to kaijus" issue

When did 10 minute testing become 20 minute testing
Protip for this deck: going for a 4-material Arrival and using a level 4 plus Bururu to make Cyberse Quantum Dragon is a better end board than a 6-material Arrival nine times out of ten. Quantum makes your boards even harder to deal with because of the battle immunity. Some early builds would actually experiment with playing Cyberse Witch, Cyberse Magician, and Cynet Ritual because Hiyari can search Magician and having Magician and Quantum both on the field makes it so that your opponent cannot declare attacks on or target any of your monsters.
Also, only play 2 Doyon! It’s dead in your opening hand but having it in multiples is useful for comebacks.
To be fair flunderfatrol has a bit of consistency issue (especially the play that lets you get through ash), but once it goes off, it goes off real hard...
Also while it has a 800/1000 that can add a 2800/1000 monster, it conflicts with monarch real hard since it prevents the user from special summonning almost all the time :'v
Also yea it loses to wind kaiju(?) and droll
Question, firewall darkfluid as a going first option, you can make it plus a link 3 and it would have a monster negate
the fact you didn't mention nib or droll being issues for the deck grinds my gears
what website is that hes using to duel against people with
THE LINK 1 THAT SEARCHES THE FIELD SPELL
Funny how he said the only free SS from hand is the water when there is also the earth level 1 that does the same thing
The link spider is in the extra deck in order to be made through the tokens summoned by Arrival!!
Or you use it to make heatsoul through a nib
Isn't there stronger lines of play involving transcode talker aswell as and end board of quantum dragon protected by gatchiri 4 mat arrival plus linguriboh
I cant wait for the day this man plays the greatest deck of all time...Penguins
7:09 earth level 1 is crying in the corner
I actually think this deck is very underrated

They knew about the Samsung girl in 2017??? I hope whoever made that blunder gets fired.
Samsung Girl broke me. Thank you for the intros.

Here’s an idea “let’s @tack this deck”
I don't understand how " this card cannot be tributed" isn't on this card. Considering it's a true boss and takes hella resources to summon.
as much as i love this deck (it's my main deck), if it couldn't be tributed it would be insane.
Jesus Christ no
Edit: I’m on the Ignister Discord that Omm is also a member of, the choices of Elphase and focusing on Arrival were pure MBT and Omm explained to him better cards/plays
I was waiting for this
Can we get an updated MBT-Format with all the MBT approved unbans?
i dont think thats what they usually end on is it?
Is there something Im missing about arrival cyberse? It just seems like a big bungus not as good as towers
