Ramnath, Dharini and Sindhu seem to struggle in lower octaves but are probably technically better. I felt Arvind, Radhika and Supriya improved and showed more promise and consistency as the contest progressed compared to the other three at least till this point.
😅 Commmenting is easier than practical performance. I'd bow down to all of them for their courage and perseverance. Exciting to watch the competition. Thanks Ragamalika TV🙏🏻

Sindhu Rageswari has such lovely voice and pleasant singing of the order of MS Subbulakshmi. She just needs exposure to few stages.She's sure to rock the carnatic world if she wishes so...
Totally agree!! another member of Sindhu fan club here 😆 The pitch for her age is lower than expected which lends that gambheeryam even in higher octaves. Kambhoji was excellent… taanam treatment was interesting, but would also love to hear it sung a bit more traditionally, her voice would lend itself great to taanam. As judges had said the slight breathiness in Mandram could be improved… but after listening to her performances on her channel it seems the contest stage could’ve contributed more in that direction... A bit more of the immersive cool vibes would totally elevate her singing way higher. I too hope she continues to nurture her talent and gifted voice and continues to grow to become the legendary musician she has the potential to be. There’s some inexplicable charm to her voice.
Supriya has grown to be quite the Zen Master in the finals. That’s the vibe we need!

Excellent program. It is sad that there is not such support in the Telugu states. Tyagaraja, Shayama Sastry and Dikshitar must be wondering why.
They were also in the Tamil country although the language of the region was telugu
The Telugu channels are more interested in "natu natu natu" than this Neetu (neet).

Thanam of both was very much like raga alapanai.. Sindhu's pallavi words were very simple, seemingly inspired from certain varnams..
Supriya's pallavi had more complicated words.. I feel she edged out Sindhu..
Sindhu wasn't getting the eduppu right.. Imagine trying to calculate how much away to take for first speed second speed, on the spot.. Hats off to these participants

After all the technical aspects, the only thing matters is a great voice.
A good voice is a necessary and not a sufficient factor but may tilt the scale if other technical aspects are equal!
In this EP I liked more Suppriya did well. My recommendation is for her . Sindhu sang very well Kambothi. God bless them both. bhanugopal USA

Judges are very impractical in asking to sing tanams in 3 different ragas in one minute😌 Very sad
Frankly it's a separate skill to sing in less time.. Need to explore entire raga quickly.. But yes, singing 20 seconds for each raga is tough.. And they have to stop them when time is up, because it will extend the programme by half an hour otherwise.. Already it ended at 10.30 pm that day..
I still feel it's a challenge to sing 3 tanams in one minute. Imho
